Do PCB ao PCBA: Entendendo o processo
Introdução:
As placas de circuito impresso (PCB), também conhecidas como placas de fiação impressa, são componentes eletrônicos essenciais. Elas funcionam como a base dos dispositivos eletrônicos, fornecendo suporte mecânico e conexões elétricas para vários componentes eletrônicos. As PCBs são chamadas de “impressas” porque são feitas usando técnicas de impressão eletrônica. Mas o que exatamente é PCBA?
O que é PCBA?
PCBA significa Montagem de Placa de Circuito Impresso. Refere-se ao processo completo de montagem de componentes em uma placa PCB nua por meio da Tecnologia de Montagem em Superfície (SMT) e, em seguida, de componentes através de furos por meio de processos de Pacote Duplo em Linha (DIP). Normalmente, são necessários testes funcionais rigorosos para garantir que o PCBA funcione corretamente.
1. Processo SMT
A tecnologia de montagem em superfície (SMT) é um método usado no setor de eletrônicos para montar componentes diretamente na superfície da placa de circuito impresso. Esse processo envolve a colocação de componentes de montagem em superfície (SMC/SMD) na placa e sua fixação por meio de técnicas de solda, como solda por refluxo ou solda por onda.
Preparação antes do SMT:
Pontos de marcação: A PCB deve ter pontos de marcação (pontos de referência) para ajudar a máquina pick-and-place a posicionar com precisão os componentes na placa.
Criação do estêncil: Um estêncil deve ser preparado para garantir a deposição precisa da pasta de solda na placa de circuito impresso nos locais corretos.
Programação de posicionamento: Com base na lista de materiais (BOM) fornecida, a programação é feita para colocar os componentes em suas respectivas posições na placa de circuito impresso.
Quando esses preparativos estiverem concluídos, o processo SMT poderá ser iniciado. A PCB é carregada na máquina e os pontos de marcação são usados para orientar a placa corretamente. A pasta de solda é aplicada ao estêncil e a pasta é depositada nos pads da placa de circuito impresso. Em seguida, a máquina pick-and-place posiciona os componentes na placa de acordo com as instruções programadas. Por fim, a placa é submetida à solda por refluxo para criar uma conexão segura entre os componentes e a placa.
Depois disso, é realizada uma inspeção óptica automática (AOI) para verificar se há defeitos como ponte de solda, componentes desalinhados ou polaridade inadequada. Entretanto, os testes funcionais não são realizados nesse estágio, pois a placa ainda pode precisar de componentes com orifício de passagem.
Observação: alguns componentes têm polaridades ou arranjos de pinos específicos, portanto, a inspeção do material recebido é fundamental para evitar erros de posicionamento, especialmente no caso de componentes como pacotes BGA (Ball Grid Array), em que a correção de erros pode ser demorada.

2.  Processo de montagem de componentes de furo passante
O DIP (Dual In-line Package, pacote duplo em linha) refere-se a componentes de orifício passante que são inseridos na placa de circuito impresso e soldados. Esses componentes normalmente têm fios que passam por orifícios na placa.
Preparação antes do DIP:
Preparação do acessório: Os acessórios são preparados para manter a PCB no lugar durante o processo de soldagem.
Corte de fios: Os fios dos componentes com orifício de passagem são cortados no comprimento correto.
Inserção manual: Os trabalhadores inserem manualmente os componentes de furo passante em seus respectivos furos na placa de circuito impresso.
O processo DIP é mais simples do que o SMT, mas requer trabalho manual para inserir os componentes na placa. Após a inserção, a placa passa pela solda por onda, onde os componentes são fixados com segurança à PCB.
3. Teste funcional do PCBA
Após os processos SMT e DIP, o PCBA é submetido a testes funcionais para garantir que funcione como pretendido.
Etapa 1: Inspeção visual - É feita uma inspeção preliminar para identificar problemas visíveis, como pontes de solda, juntas de solda fria ou componentes ausentes. As placas problemáticas são enviadas para retrabalho, enquanto as placas funcionais seguem para a próxima etapa.
Etapa 2: Teste elétrico - Usando dispositivos de teste, o PCBA é submetido a testes funcionais. A energia é aplicada à placa e vários testes são realizados, como a verificação da ativação do relé e dos sinais de comunicação. Essa etapa garante que cada módulo do PCBA funcione corretamente.
Ao realizar essas duas etapas, não apenas as placas defeituosas podem ser identificadas, mas os problemas exatos também podem ser identificados, reduzindo a carga de trabalho para reparos subsequentes.

4. Revestimento protetor: À prova de água, à prova de poeira e resistente à corrosão
Para proteger o PCBA de fatores ambientais como umidade, poeira e corrosão, ele passa por um processo de revestimento protetor. Isso pode envolver a aplicação de revestimento isolante (tinta à prova de três) ou imersão em cera.
Diferentes empresas podem usar vários métodos, como escovação manual, pulverização por máquina ou imersão. Em alguns casos, nenhuma proteção é aplicada, dependendo da aplicação.

De uma PCB nua a um PCBA totalmente funcional, cada etapa do processo envolve preparação, execução e testes cuidadosos para garantir que o produto final atenda aos padrões de qualidade. Etapas de fabricação da placa de circuito impresso PCBA

Vamos entender o processo de fabricação do PCBA em detalhes:
Estêncil de pasta de solda
Antes de mais nada, a empresa de PCBA aplica uma pasta de solda à placa de circuito impresso. Nesse processo, é necessário colocar pasta de solda em determinadas partes da placa. Essa parte contém diferentes componentes.
A pasta de solda é uma composição de diferentes pequenas esferas de metal. E a substância mais usada na pasta de solda é o estanho, ou seja, 96,5%. Outras substâncias da pasta de solda são prata e cobre, com quantidades de 3% e 0,5%, respectivamente.
O fabricante mistura a pasta com um fluxo. Porque o fluxo é um produto químico que ajuda a solda a derreter e a se unir à superfície da placa. Você deve aplicar a pasta de solda nos pontos exatos e nas quantidades certas. O fabricante usa diferentes aplicadores para espalhar a pasta nos locais pretendidos.
Escolha e coloque
Após a conclusão bem-sucedida da primeira etapa, a máquina escolha e coloque deve realizar o próximo trabalho. Nesse processo, os fabricantes colocam diferentes componentes eletrônicos e SMDs em uma placa de circuito. Atualmente, os SMDs são responsáveis pelos componentes não conectores das placas. Você aprenderá a soldar esses SMDs na placa nas próximas etapas.
É possível usar métodos tradicionais ou automatizados para selecionar e colocar componentes eletrônicos nas placas. No método tradicional, os fabricantes usam um par de pinças para colocar os componentes na placa. Ao contrário disso, no método automatizado, as máquinas colocam os componentes na posição correta.
Soldagem por refluxo
Depois de colocar os componentes em seus devidos lugares, os fabricantes solidificam a pasta de solda. Eles podem realizar essa tarefa por meio de um processo de “refluxo”. Nesse processo, a equipe de fabricação envia as placas para uma esteira transportadora.
A correia transportadora precisa passar por um grande forno de refluxo. E o forno de refluxo é quase semelhante a um forno de pizza. O forno contém alguns aquecedores com temperaturas diferentes. Em seguida, os aquecedores aquecem as placas em diferentes temperaturas até 250o C. Essa temperatura converte a solda em pasta de solda.
Semelhante aos aquecedores, a correia transportadora passa então por uma série de resfriadores. Os resfriadores solidificam a pasta de forma controlada. Após esse processo, todos os componentes eletrônicos ficam firmes na placa.
Inspeção e controle de qualidade
Depois de montar os componentes no processo de refluxo, é necessário inspecionar a placa para verificar se há falhas. Nesse processo, os fabricantes também testam as funcionalidades da placa. Durante o processo de refluxo, muitas placas apresentam conexões ruins ou ficam curtas. Em palavras simples, podem ocorrer muitos problemas de conexão durante a etapa anterior.
Portanto, há diferentes maneiras de verificar se há desalinhamentos e erros na placa de circuito.
Aqui estão alguns métodos notáveis de teste:
Verificação manual
Mesmo na era da fabricação e dos testes automatizados, a verificação manual ainda tem uma importância significativa. No entanto, a verificação manual é mais eficaz para PCB PCBA de pequena escala. Portanto, essa forma de inspeção se torna mais imprecisa e impraticável para placas de circuito impresso PCBA de grande escala.
Além disso, olhar para os componentes do mineiro por muito tempo é irritante e causa fadiga óptica. Portanto, isso pode levar a inspeções imprecisas.

Inspeção óptica automática
Para um grande lote de PCB PCBA, esse método é uma das melhores opções de teste. Dessa forma, uma máquina AOI inspeciona PCBs usando várias câmeras de alta potência.
Essas câmeras cobrem todos os ângulos para inspecionar diferentes conexões de solda. As máquinas AOI reconhecem a força das conexões pelo reflexo da luz das conexões de solda. As máquinas AOI podem testar centenas de placas em algumas horas.
Inspeção por raios X
É outro método de teste de placas. Esse método é menos comum, mas mais eficaz para placas de circuito complexas ou em camadas. O raio X ajuda os fabricantes a examinar os problemas das camadas inferiores.
Usando os métodos mencionados acima, se houver um problema, a equipe de fabricação o envia de volta para retrabalho ou descarte.
Se a inspeção não encontrar nenhum erro, a próxima etapa é verificar sua capacidade de trabalho. Isso significa que os testadores verificarão se o funcionamento está de acordo com os requisitos ou não. Portanto, a placa pode precisar de calibração para testar suas funcionalidades.
Inserção de componente de furo passante
Os componentes eletrônicos variam de placa para placa, dependendo do tipo de PCBA. Por exemplo, as placas podem ter diferentes tipos de componentes PTH.
Os orifícios de passagem revestidos são tipos diferentes de orifícios nas placas de circuito. Usando esses orifícios, os componentes das placas de circuito passam o sinal de e para diferentes camadas. Os componentes PTH precisam de tipos especiais de métodos de soldagem em vez de usar apenas pasta.
Soldagem manual
Esse processo é muito simples e direto. Em uma única estação, uma pessoa pode inserir facilmente um componente em um PTH apropriado. Em seguida, a pessoa passará essa placa para a próxima estação. Haverá muitas estações. Em cada estação, uma pessoa insere um novo componente.
O ciclo continua até que todos os componentes sejam instalados. Portanto, esse processo pode ser demorado, dependendo do número de componentes do PTH.
Solda por onda
É uma forma automatizada de soldagem. No entanto, o processo de soldagem é completamente diferente nessa técnica. Nesse método, as placas passam por um forno após serem colocadas em uma correia transportadora. O forno contém solda derretida. E a solda derretida lava a placa de circuito. No entanto, esse tipo de solda quase não é praticável para placas de circuito de dupla face.

Teste e inspeção final
Após a conclusão do processo de soldagem, os PCBAs passam pela inspeção final. Em qualquer estágio, os fabricantes podem passar as placas de circuito das etapas anteriores para a instalação de peças adicionais.
O teste funcional é o termo mais comum usado para a inspeção final. Nessa etapa, os testadores colocam as placas de circuito em seu ritmo. Além disso, os testadores testam as placas nas mesmas circunstâncias em que o circuito funcionará.
Por exemplo, os testadores testam a placa em diferentes tensões, sinais e correntes. Se as placas apresentarem flutuação ou comportamento indesejado, elas serão reprovadas no teste. Assim, os fabricantes podem reciclar ou descartar as placas de circuito.
