Empress Genmei (元明天皇, Genmei-tennō, April 20, 660 – December 29, 721), also known as Empress Genmyō, was the 43rd monarch of Japan, according to the traditional order of succession.[2] Genmei's reign spanned the years 707 through 715.

Summary There was a series of videos produced based on Light Novel Kojiki. From what I observed, there are scenes from these videos that were not in the light novel. Here is part 1 and 2 which are just introductions as the videos are still on going.

Before the story of the Kojiki begins there is an introduction scene in the early 8th century CE, precisely in 712 CE. O no Yasumaro (太 安万侶) [1] told Empress Genmei (元明天皇) [2] that he finished compiling the Kojiki with the help of Hieda no Are (稗田 阿礼) [3].
They discussed how Empress Genmei father-in-law, Emperor Tenmu (天武天皇) [4] asked Hieda no Are to commission the Kojiki, but he died before if was completed. Empress Genmei read the Kojiki and she commented that it was difficult to read and asked if it could be put in light novel format and gave Hieda no Are the responsibility to do it.
Important Quote
O no Yasumaro: “So, in this book, I have summarized the history from the beginning of heaven and earth to the reign of Emperor Suiko in three volumes.
Lampshaded Anachronisms
Empress Genmei: “Well, you did a great job in an era when there was no hiragana or katakana!”
O no Yasumaro "Your Majesty... Hiragana and Katakana are still about a hundred years away, so could you please not touch on that?"
Emperor Genmei: No, I feel like it's too much of a hassle to even read it. Why not make it into an anime?” (She is referring to the Kojiki.)
O no Yasumaro: Anime!?
Emperor Genmei: "Because I want to enjoy the content. I like mythology. Isn't that a problem?"
Empress: "I'm not asking you to start developing television."

Light Novel Kojiki
I found an adaptation of the Kojiki Text. It is a light novel written by Yu Onodera. The story is posted on the official website and here is the English Translation.
Here is the original Japanese Version.
But by looking at the Japanese Version, Volume 1 has only been translated to English. Here the link to the English Table of Contents.
Here a link to the Japanese Table of Contents for Volume 1.
This is the Japanese Table of Contents for Volume 2.
The manga adaptation for this light novel is on Comic-Walker by Aoi Koma called Manga Kojiki Izanagi and Izanami. Some of the chapters are missing though because I think the manga writer/artist did not want to post them all online.
