#Emperor's New Clothes

I finally drew Jayce as the Brendon Urie demon in Emperor's New Clothes, which I think either inspired Jayce's character and design greatly or is a mighty coincidence!

I did a normal one and a Dread one. :]

The dehumidifier is blowing so the radio is off. It's a minimalist kind of music and tones down my tinnitus.

Survived the shiny metropolis, as did Busterson. No temperature this time just the declaration that he fights too much and is fat. These things I already knew. Yet again attempting to put him on a diet ... yet again Mr B will declare that only the first three letters of that word count (in his opinion) so I should really rethink my decision.

The 'fashions' in the charity shops of the shiny metropolis always make me curious as to the people who handed the items in. Biggest Dog is in the first picture ... if you look closely. Her reflection startled her and she was more than prepared to square up to herself.

In the second picture you can see the Emperor's new clothes. His consort is hiding at the back. I'm thinking of the naturists that I am assured reside on the Emerald Isle. Brave, brave people!

As it seems, my halloween mood has clicked it, finally!

So I no longer have time to write, so my brain is rotting with ideas that I can't really develop into a good fanfic.

Now, I was working (as always) and listening to music 🎶 (as usual), and this great song started, and my Fandom lover, fanfic writer, rotting with ideas brain caught up the lyrics and developed a mental animation of Danny Phantom...

The song is "Emperor's New Clothes" by Panic at de Disco (yes, I said great, but left out the sad part for now -I miss them!)

Now if anyone's interested, this is what my mind came up with:

Some dystopic future where Danny awakes suddenly, maybe somebody stumbled into something, maybe an object or something broke, so he is now awake in a future he doesn't recognize.

But that's not the thing. He is angry. He knows he was betrayed, and at some point, humans changed their minds. something changed, and they turned their loyalties against Danny, and they trapped him and all other ghosts for a couple of centuries, probably.

Now, he had built a nice community, and there was organization and cooperation between ghosts and humans where many had benefited from and it had been all in good will until a greedy one developed a plan to take him down.

Oh, but Danny is not just any ghost, right? He's the Ghost King, and only he knew where the crown and ring are. Now, don't get him wrong, he's not one to hold a grudge just because, he was insulted and degraded by a certain group of humans, he's getting back what he worked for and he will use any means in his hands to do it

And if he has to play the part of a vengeful ghost, who's also a legend to achieve that, he will...

I liked the idea of an angry and vengeful Danny in my mind. Keep in mind that all of this came from one song, I just got you some details my traitorous mind cooked while I was writing this, but yeah, changing the ideal Danny image in my head gave him a new purpose and I really wish I could write something better.

Feel free to adopt the idea if you can, songfics were my thing when I was young and didn't have to work for a living, so i have a couple more of these stored in the brain and i may share them with you like this, I hope someone can do it, if you do let me know to make sure I read it!

Just as an extra, one of my favorite lyrics in this song is : "Heroes always get remembered
