T&I Engagement Manager - Enterprise Analytics (United Arab Emirates)
      JOB PURPOSE
  We are looking for a dynamic BI Engagement Manager who will be responsible for managing and enhancing the existing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions both from a technical and application perspective.  Contribute to the enhancement of the Business Intelligence (BI) capability and to the Enterprise Analytics Centre of Excellence by managing the setup of adequate People, Processes and Technologies.
Work with the vendor on continuous improvement of the technology stack by understanding the underlying architecture and applications deployed.    Work with the vendor to ensure stability of platform by actively monitoring the solution stack and applying necessary software patches required from a security and stability perspective. 
Participate and support business functions of Enterprise Analytics department in all tasks around BI solutions including development of business logic for future enhancements, participate in the development and rollout of Change Requests (CRs), participate in feasibility studies and wider adoption plans of the BI solution. 
Work with T&I colleagues including architects, security teams to ensure compliance to EY IT standards.  Track service KPIs to drive ongoing improvements in service delivery performance, as well as service delivery and cost recovery.
  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  BI Strategy:
Work with business stakeholders, relevant IT teams and program teams to refine Etihad’s BI, Analytics and Data Management strategy.
Contribute to developing and implementing BI strategy by shaping and managing dedicated projects and setting up proper governance.  Perform cost/benefit analysis of actions and initiatives.
Provide strategic, technical and planning inputs for Business Intelligence & Analytics portfolio strategy & roadmap, based on the key issues, risks and opportunities identified through the BAU operations and BI transformation projects.
Provide inputs on approaches for following up on BI projects and vendors contributions, as well as for serving the Business with new capabilities (self-service BI etc.)
Ensure consistency of BI & Analytics platform and capability strategy implementation with major enterprise programs such as enterprise information management, data governance, and business transformation, as well as compatibility with Enterprise Architecture norms and standards.
Service Management:
Coordinate and contribute to the on-going maintenance of live BI & Analytics applications and platforms, in liaison with the Application Maintenance teams.
Provide subject matter expertise (functional and technical) in the support of the suite of Business Intelligence applications.
Project Management:
Manage the delivery of BI, Analytics and Data Management projects serving Etihad’s strategy.  Manage and control scope and cost of projects with clear outcomes and deliverables. 
Ensure projects requirements are delivered in a timely fashion and within budgetary guidelines.
Identify needed resources to organize team dedicated to the projects, assign responsibilities and develop timeframes to facilitate successful completion of projects activities and deliverables.
Change Management:
Support change and release management functions for the suite of BI applications by liaising with IT Operations, system owners, application stewards and key business stakeholders.
Interact with stakeholders across the company and provide relevant communication on transformation projects.
Reporting:
Monitoring run of BI & Analytics applications and define actions to resolve issues.
Create and maintain appropriate metrics to represent the BI operations and initiatives.
Identify and elaborate on focus areas for improvement.
Supplier Management:
Contribute to the compilation and review of RFI’s, RFP’s and business cases necessary to deliver the agreed Business unit IT plan.
Support BI Leads in managing external service providers to deliver Etihad application requirement and outcomes.
Influencing:
Play an active role in improving the interface between the T&I and Business units.
Analyze Business Analytics processes and establish client requirements for the implementation of significant changes in organizational mission, business functions and process, organizational roles and responsibilities, and scope or nature of service delivery.
Advocate:
Contribute to management of stakeholders, and provide expert knowledge to educate business users in BI & Analytics tools and methods. 
Provide on-going management, control, and planning of the BI portfolio by working closely with the portfolio leads to ensure compliance with applicable policies, processes and standards.
Handover & Knowledge Transfer:
Setup handover guidelines, knowledge transfer plan and ensure steady state migration of all BI applications delivered by the T&I BI delivery team.
  QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor’s degree min.
5 to 7 years of experience in the field of Information Technology and minimum 4 years of experience in Airline industry
A minimum of 4 years hands-on working experience in Business Intelligence strategy implementation, solutions design & delivery, methodologies, and business application in the relevant suite of business applications (SAP BO/Hana, Microsoft BI & Analytics tools, Cloudera, Data Lakes and Big Data architectures).
  Analytics Skills
Possesses good information acquisition ability, organisational awareness and vision coupled with technical and service skills to guide and communicate the service delivery & design approach
Excellent knowledge of IT service management principles is essential, as is an in-depth working knowledge of ITIL standards
Customer relationship management skills, knowledge of change, project, contract and financial management, and the ability to present reports at VP level; very strong interpersonal and consultative skills
Broad knowledge and understanding on the operating models for the relevant business functional areas
Self-starter, can-do attitude and ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
Ability to understanding an organisation’s goals and objectives, and present technical information with reference to these
  Technical Skills
SAP HANA
Understand the HANA infrastructure
Knowledge of Dynamic Tiering
SAP Suite of Applications
Good knowledge of SAP Business Object Suite, Lumira, Hana Studio etc
Facilitate tools provisioning and licensing for business users
Manage SAP products licensing for EAG (Enterprise Analytics)
Ensure Data Governance Standards are applied
Business Engagement
SME on BI capabilities to advise the business on potential solutions
Communication and stakeholder management
Assist Business and Analytics teams with PoCs and access to data sources
PMP Certified or project Management qualification is desirable
Experience Agile delivery Methodology is preferred.
