*its night, elvina collapses in her room, you can sense how utterly destroyed she is, how wrecked and overwhelmed she had become, she had gone out to rescue selma that morning, you had expected her to come back happy and full of life, but the feeling in the air is of a person who has hit rock bottom so hard they fell through it into the void, sparky comes up to you*

Horns (a sparky and elvina short story)

Elvina had ran away again that night, she'd been struggling with everything as of recently, the outside world, what happened to selma, losing an arm, discovering she had died more than once without remembering, discovering that she had become a Nephalem (half angel half demon)... it was just too much for her... Sparky sighed and made sure everyone stayed asleep, a simple sleeping charm to make sure that no one woke up and worried.

He flew through the night, he searched for her consciousness, reaching out with his mind, then he saw her, balled up in her Nephalem form, various shades of grey, her hair braided, sparky knew what that meant by now, braids usually mean one of few things for elvi: she's trying to fit in and conform, she is near rock bottom, or she is just flooded with hiraeth (longing for a home which may of never existed). At the minute it seemed to be all three.

Sparky curled up next to her, thumping his tail and sighing in morse code, him and elvi don't speak in the same language, so they usually communicate in morse code or telepathically, the following words from sparky have been translated:

"Elvi...'

"What... "

"You know what, you need to talk to me."

"I dont wanna..."

"Tough shit, you ran away.... tell me what's going on or I'll find out myself."

Elvi starts sobbing

"Its not fair....It was perfect! I tried hard to be perfect but I keep losing people and I'm a Nephalem! Not good enough for heaven, not evil enough for hell... why don't I belong anywhere?! I can't save selma...or monika.... or dylan.... or mom...or you! I'm such a shitty horned BEAST!"

"...Do you hate drew?"

"W-what-?"

"Do you ha-"

"No I heard you but what?!"

"He has horns, he has a tail, he has failed his significants in ways, his husband was like selma, he forgot everyone. He is definitely not going to heaven....but he is too good for hell. He's a divine being too.... you are basically just a female version of him in some ways.... just like his husband is quite similar to your girlfriend.... so let me ask you, do you hate drew?"

"...No"

"Do you think his husband hates him for not being able to protect him sometimes?"

"....No but-"

"No buts, elvina.... Hating yourself and blaming yourself is only be because you don't see the outside.... you can't get the moon perfect on a picture, a painting of the sunrise is no match for seeing it for yourself... and you love drew, right? What do you love about him? "

"that he's so like me that he loves music, that he's so kind and loving, his voice is beautiful... he is protective and....just wow"

"And if I asked drew that same question , what do you think he would say?"

"That I'm kind and loving and lov- oh..."

"Yeah... you love people for qualities you have... you just need to see it.... you are doing good, just.... you gotta breathe sometimes, ok?"

"Yeah... Thanks sparky"

"No problem, horns..."

Reunion (a Elvina and Monika tale)

Elvinas eyes stung as she sat by the lake, sobbing, she read in the newspaper her sisters statement... the first thing she says about her in 18 years is calling her a selfish runaway and a bad person...maybe she was right... after all she had just run away from selma and drew...

then she hears someone from behind, a woman with green horns and long black hair, elvina instinctually draws her dagger before sheathing it

"sorry... force of habit"

"its ok! its ok!"

"im elvina, whats your name?"

"its been that long, huh?"

"what?"

"nothing! you ok?"

"no... my sister said some shitty things about me even though she hasnt seen me since we were kids"

"oh.... well first i think she had some anger... she felt abandoned and unseen... and also people force her to say and do things sometimes, im sure she is worried!"

"about me? pfft..."

"i mean it..."

after a few minutes of silence

"you remind me of her... by now she must be like...25...26?"

"yeah, 26, its been a while"

a pause... before elvi gasps with tears in her eyes

"...MONIKA?!"

"HA! took you that long, horns~?"

"TAILS!!! YOU ARE HERE?! HOW ARE YOU HERE?!"

"its a long story..."

"...well its a story i want to hear... ill stay to hear it this time... i promise..."

*elvina immediately wraps around you and other selma gets off to go guarding, she is snuggled by you and other drew and she kisses you on your face, falling asleep*

...no no no I can't.... selma please.....ill lose both of you and they'll still agree with you, theyll see the reason no matter bow hard we hide it.... I already told Dylan aboutthe curse, he knows..... drew is smart enough to figure it out, elvina knows when I lie it....*smoke comes out of their nostrils* there's no point in pretend.... it'll just complicate it, Elvina.... elvina just has to deal with it I Guess, let her be the villian, I can always just mess with her memories to get her back... i cant lose you and elvi and lie to drew and dylan too.... my wholefamily is falling apart..

*elvina comes home from another rebel meeting, her aura has been changing over the past few days, more confident but less gentleand compassionate, her hair in a side shave, sparky has been less close to her and glaring at her, something is afoot*
