Five (more) CJ facts!!

Used to live in Chesapeake, Virginia before moving away during the end of B’s freshman year, and the move, along with his father starting to become busier and busier with his business overtime caused CJ to let himself dive a bit more into his casual comic and movie interests for comfort, and obviously because he enjoyed them of course

A year after the move, just getting out of the temporary band interest and becoming a highschool freshman, he watched what ended up becoming his favorite movie ever: The 1984 Karate Kid, which is where his love for martial arts finally shot out of him

Only has his right ear pierced cause his mom caught his brother right in the middle of him trying to pierce them both without her permission after pressuring CJ into it (told him he'd look cooler)

Out of all the boys, he met Bill first when they were assigned as partners for a science project, Bill going to CJ's place to avoid being home with his mother, which is how he found out about all the shit CJ was into and was able to consider getting to know him further

Even though he's the most sociable and fit out of the boys (definitely described as "basically a jock in a karate uniform!" by one of them when being considered as a member) he's...also never had a girlfriend (...or boyfriend.)

Specifically when the band eventually breaks up + dynamics

Gwen has a boyfriend, Andrew, who’s already described to be kind of a cheater and a fake punk/music elitist dunce!! there’s almost a pattern where they’re on and off again, he cheats, she gets mad and leaves the band, he says something that’ll get her to come back! He’s like THE male manipulator ever, an average “The smiths” fan if you will lol! (All jokes)

the last straw is where he gets caught with someone she’s like ACTUALLY close with, from before the band formed. She leaves, she cuts contact with the other two due to the fact that:

1. The guitar player, Georgie (aka the Beatles knock off) was HIRED to perform with them and could care less about anything that happens so long as he’s paid (and ofc Andrew pays him)

2. The chick with the short hair, Jane, keeps undermining how awful Andrew is because she’s a “mediator”. This hurts the most bc Jane was fond of her, like really close, so it hurt her a lot too.

Side note they even had stupid nicknames for each other other like “Janey” and “Genny” or “Gee” lol

Out of desperation she bugs groups around her in hopes that SOMEONE will tolerate her, ofc it’s hard because her shit reputation from how the band treated other people. Constantly trolling others online, making fun of them in person, just dickish behavior from people who genuinely think they’re better then you due to their “refined music palette and superior fashion”

OFC THIS HAPPENS WAY LATER ON DOWN THE LINE OR WHATEVER mostly because I like drawing the band so much they’re so awful I love them

Will be posting actual references of the rest of the band when I find motivation too!!!

Five general facts about CJ while I work on his brother B's intro!

He's half Japanese on his dads side (Chikao), and half Texan on his mothers (Liliana)

Before getting into Karate, CJ was first into ballet when he was much younger (and does not bring it up), then in 8th grade (around the time B first formed his band) he wanted to get into music just like his big brother! (Unfortunately, wasn't let into the band, still has his old keyboard under his bed)

Was somewhat into comics during middle school, his love for them growing as he picked up karate (which his mom agreed to let him take classes for after he begged her for "self-defense"...I mean, that and he thought it was cool)

Totally crushed on Daniel Larusso when first watching the movie...(STILL has a crush on him)

His music taste has some rock influence from B, maybe some pop oldies from his parents (fucks with Michael Jackson) but he'd specifically be more into Arena rock, a Bon Jovi lover

Toooooootally wasn’t inspired by @nerdbarbie to talk about my ocs more, and yeah I already do art and askblog wise but general info and ranting on my blog I never do soooo I wanna make general intros

Starting off:

Full name - Casey James (CJ) Takahara! Age - 17 Height - 5'6

Fan affiliation - Eltingville comic book, science-fiction, fantasy, horror and role-playing club! Secretary of: Martial arts!

Favorite shit - The karate kid, Karate (in general), Jackie Chan films, Bruce Lee, Donnie Yen, Jet Li, TMNT, Mortal Kombat, Street fighter, Karate kid (Dc comics), Superboy, Fight choreography, Action movies, Spy films, Bon Jovi, etc etc

Personality and general info (plus fun facts):

Outwardly confident, laid-back in most situations, but his highly passionate (and frankly loud) nature always spurs up when it comes to his favorite action movies, specifically ones with lots of fights and of course: Martial Arts.

He tends to be cocky when it comes to his own karate skills, even if he’s still just an orange belt (for now)

Youngest child of two, has an older brother (19) named Beverly who prefers just going by "B", the leader and lead singer of a band called "Lightning B.O.L.T"

Doesn't get along well with him most of the time, other times, they're the only ones that can understand each other

While both of his parents are technically still together and in his life, with his dad often never home due to work andd frequent important business trips, sometimes he feels like it really is just him, his mom and his brother around

Deep down, he's a bit self-conscious of himself, his skills, relationships with other people, self-worth, etc, but doesn’t ever let it show…unless he’s having a real bad day

Found solace in the club after feeling like no one at home really understood or cared about his interests, though some their behaviors are...off-putting to him sometimes to say the least

HATES horror movies, or well, just hates how he can barely handle them, acts like hes fine while watching any, but is very jumpy afterwards (Stepped on a stick walking home from seeing one and started fighting the air around him, Pete wouldn't let him live it down)
