From the perspective of an opera fan, that Elsbeth episode was unhinged. First thing Nathan Lane does is mispronounce Trovatore (he says "Tro-va-tore" not "Tro-va-to-ray"). But later he name drops Leyla Gencer and gets her name right, even though it is not pronounced as it sounds (Gen-ger, soft g)! And then he denigrates someone else for liking Agnes Baltsa, meaning he has shitty taste in mezzos, because Agnes Baltsa and her chest voice are legendary (she can be divisive but people who don't like her are wrong).

And then the whole thing is solved with a dead singer who is clearly Tito Gobbi if you bought him from Wish. Absolutely maniacal writing. Whoever is responsible for this should sit next to me at the Met so I can lecture them about their opera opinions which I'm assuming from this episode are bad.
