Hello, i recently read this post of yours, titled- "A Loki fanon trope that I dislike" posted on Jan 31st. I very much agree to it. If you don't mind, can you recommend me some fics who have accurate loki in your perception? I am a new writer and I do not want to mischaracterize Loki in my fics, I really need some inspo. The fics that I have read...I think they do party show Loki as a tantrum thrower. So if you don't mind, do u have any recs? Ik this must have come off as a really random ask as your blog is a meta blog so..

Heya!!!! This blog is actually mostly an rp blog, but I write (or have, in the past) TONS of meta so I can see why it would seem like a meta blog! 😂 You're welcome to go to my IC tag and look at my characterization, but there are also several other resources.

I haven't read fanfic in years, which is such a bizarre thing about me, honestly, because I used to write it a lot, and I have massive respect for fanfic writers. I think it's just a matter of me not having the time to devote to pleasure-reading, and becoming frustrated when I try. However, I can recommend other rp blogs whom I've always admired:

-- @loptgangandi (Eloki is golden standard for all things Norse culture + IC MCU Loki + Myths Loki, and is a Lokean by religious practice <3 ) -- @theprisonerofasgard (why isn't it tagging you aaarg. A longtime dear friend whose MCU Loki is perfection. I'm pretty sure B (don't want to use their full real name) is also a fanfic writer, and I'd recommend looking at their stuff on Ao3). -- @divinethief (actually writes Balthazar from SPN but is also a Lokean and has a profound relationship with Loki that makes them excellent at feedback on portrayal. I have a romantic verse with their muse and have written with them for years in other fandoms. Beautiful loving human being.)

For Loki fanfics, I'd ask my friend @lokiperfection and the prolific Loki graphics artist @lokihiddleston . They're hugely active fandom moms <3

“Don’t you know associating with the right crowd is boring?” she called back up to him, suspecting that he was fully aware of as much. She doubted his line of work was something one just fell into. “And you’re the one who called out to me, anyway. You don’t get to do that and then lecture me about it.” She didn’t doubt his comment about having enemies around every corner, but this didn’t deter her. Though being called girlie almost did. What was with everyone and the patronizing nicknames lately? Juneau crossed her arms and took a half step back when he launched himself from the side of the ship to make room for him. 

“I will shove you,” she half-growled at him, noting his exaggerated posture to meet eyes with her five-foot frame. “Pirates are just water thieves–and there’s no honor amongst thieves.” She supposed she did believe his offer to shatter someone’s kneecaps on her behalf. He had been remarkably emotional when the group recovered her, especially for the member of the party who probably had the most right to leave her behind.  Juneau still didn’t quite understand that he had been put in a predicament that caused him to feel the sharp sting of abandonment she had harbored within her for nearly her entire life. 

For a moment, she considered sticking up for Val’shira, but she doubted she had that much sway with the pirate. “I can solve my problems on my own. And even if I couldn’t, there’s no one I can think of to send you after.” The residual denial of Ivar’s betrayal was partially to blame for her refusal of his offer, but she also still had no idea if he was even alive. “I actually came to give you some leadership advice. When you give your crew a command, they say ‘yes, captain’, right? Have you ever considered having them say ‘Elokie dokie’ instead? Get it? Like okie dokie?” She deadpanned the entire suggestion as if it were serious, her face somehow not cracking despite how preposterously stupid what she was saying was.

It wasn't often Elokian docked in a place like Tiber Bay, but so long as he had business to attend to in the city, he wouldn't mind the thick air of tension his arrival has brought. Anything could happen, though if one were to pass beneath Elokian now they'd catch his undeniable crooked, toothy grin plastered across his face. "Don't you know associating with the wrong crowd is the quickest way to attract trouble? A casual conversation with me could result in a death sentence for you. I have no shortage of enemies, any could be watching as we speak. Seems like someone is living dangerously, girlie," Elokian jests before hurling himself over the edge of his ship.

He lands feet flat in a squat, knees spread so he's low enough to speak directly into Juneau's face. "Your brains get rattled or something? Or did you think pirates have no honor at all? I told our little group I'd happily shatter the kneebone of somebody you chose. Even that stuck up Val. Call it a gesture of camaraderie." With a wink, Elokian begins bouncing on his toes and shadowboxing off to the side, showing he's pretty much always ready for a tussle.

"You expect me to believe you wandering about the ports has absolutely nothing to do with me? There's no need to be shy about it. Who pissed you off? Let me at 'em and they'll be limping for the rest of their lives," he says rather boisterously as if violence and lawlessness were part of his daily routine. "Juneau," he adds with a smirk.

The Taki Fuego “BEST OF” Clip Show*~ AN INTERLUDE

aka EXPOSITION AND NUMB DEFLECTION: THE COMIC; a recap explanation of things to come!

Once again - in the wake of our most recent turns of events (SHH WE’LL GET THERE), working on assembling some choice scenes from the recent few months in Elysium between the Taki Fuego trio, through a series of comics starring all canon dialogue, quick Elysium Drama Update snapshots. Previously - funny comedy hour and banter! But this is an INTERMISSION before returning to the grayscale scribbles - THIS is dialed back EVEN FURTHER…. Allllll the way back to the solemn and serious talk taking place just BEFORE Loki agreed to have a baby with them (it was actually the very literal same convo).

EeL’s deepest psyche re: his deep rooted anxiety and ✨issues✨ are common knowledge to MEEE and Fenixe (and some of you!!) yes, but dragging it all out into the open in this brief window is crucial, I think, to provide some context for some upcoming moments Loki has now shared through his pregnancy with Maci and Tory 🥺 …relevant meme here aHEM.

I’ve certainly written no shortage of essays on tumblr about Loki’s kids in here but in case anyone’s missed those essays: the tragic and traumatic fates of Loki’s (myth!) children Sleipnir, Hela, Fenris, Jormundgandr, Vali & Nari are EXTREMELY canon. and haunt EeL to this day. Even though he’s gotten 4 out of 6 back! Doesn’t change the memories trapped in the story of his past forever! Sleipnir and the trio confiscated by Odin - the twins murdered at Odin’s hands…. And now YOU can painfully remember this too!

yknow. It is always so fun to write EeL’s dialogue but drawing all of this was incredible as well. How do you illustrate the words of someone nonchalant, aloof and clipped and cool, shrugging within his protective haughty shell like “none of this is a big deal, don’t be silly”…. while already beginning to twitch on the inside?

How do you illustrate the monologue of a traumatized liar (affectionate)???🥺🥺🥺🥺 AUGH

😌 Well the tragic backstory reminder may have made Maci cry but HE’S fine, Pft don’t be ridiculous. Boy this definitely isn’t going to have any emotional repercussions within the near future probably! haha!🤪hhhahahhahh
