Do you know anything about the restaurant layout of Captains Carnival or anything about it?
The main animatronic, Captain, was built by Elnicky Enterprises and could be controlled by a cast member! Here's two shots of him.
Aside from him, there was another stage that was a pirate band called The Beach Bones; not sure if they were also by Elnicky or not. I swear there was a photo of them around, but I can't find it now... Here's an ad for the place.

The Family Album // CeC 1980’s
The Family Album was a temporary test Cabernet band installed in select CeC locations in the New England region of the United States (Michigan, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts). These were installed during CeC’s bankruptcy in the mid 1980’s due to a shortage of balcony stage animatronics (being done by Elnicky Enterprises) and remand unused after the merger in 1985
The band is consist of three human like animatronics, names vary between locations but commonly known as, John (lead singer), Dee Dee (pianist), and Randy (bass player). These animatronics can be unsettling to some due their big doed eyes and lanky appearance. The band are displayed on a revolving stage that spins during the show (like the center stage for the NRAE). They also seemed to be an interactive show, someone placed backstage puppeteering the animatronics. SPP also tried something similar to this with Billy Bob in the late 80’s

Hot Fudge was an animatronic band that was tested in five Pizza Time Theatre locations. The character names were different at each location and names were chosen in local contests.
The Hot Fudge shows were only installed in the following locations:
Clawson, Michigan (Characters: Mona, Seymore, Mr. Kootch)
Warren, Michigan
Okemos, Michigan
Warwick, Rhode Island
Danvers, Massachusetts
The animatronics created for the Hot Fudge stage were created by Elnicky Enterprises. They were temporarily installed into new Pizza Time Theatre locations between 1983 and 1984 during a time when there was a shortage of Balcony Stage animatronics for their restaurants during the period of Pizza Time Theatre's bankruptcy period

Anyone have more info, or even the audio on this attraction at the defunct AutoWorld? By the looks of it, it was done by Elnicky Enterprises (who did Hot Fudge and a lot of the outsourced SBPP stages). I believe the only proof of this shows existence is in the documentary ‘Roger & Me’, where the narrator, Michael Moore, describes the attraction as “An autoworker singing a love song to the machinery that’s replacing him on the assembly line.”. That song appears to be title ‘Me & My Buddy’.
___
I'm looking further into this, but I found footage of what appears to be another potential Elnicky bot!
youtube
Embed is timestamped, but there's quite a lot of other animatronics showcased as well!
I'll keep digging on this, and I'll post updates if anything surfaces.
UPDATE: INFORMATION OBTAINED!
Me and My Buddy was, in fact, by Elnicky! Furthermore, the bot in the video was also Elnicky, and was from a show called Dreams On Wheels. Any other animatronics at Autoworld was built by Applied Entertainment Systems.
There's brief footage and audio of the song in the documentary you mentioned. (Begins at 1:04:59 if the timestamp doesn't embed.)

Info provided by my buddy Pasq; check out his Insta and YT for plenty of animatronics!

Do you guys know of any animatronics that are or were in Canada
My first thought is Ontario Place, whose animatronics you can read about here. It breaks my heart that they were all abandoned and scattered around.
Additionally, I can think of two obscure locations (also in Ontario): one of them is Captain’s Carnival, which featured these guys built by Elnicky Enterprises, the same people who made the Family Album and Hot Fudge shows for CEC/PTT! Apparently, the Captain could be operated live by a store employee if desired. How cool is that? Wish we had more info.
There was also Marineland in Niagara Falls, which used to feature an animatronic show called The Hot Air Fantasy. AFAIK, the park is still open, but the show is gone. Have some pictures!
