Character Personality/Background: Elena is a soft spoken, kind person who would do anything to help someone out. Out of the three Fogarty kids, she was the only one who didn’t end up in the Serpents and was considered the most responsible up until she was 17. She was deeply affected by her father’s death at 16, and was kicked out at 17(by her abuela) and went to live with her brother and his friends. She managed to become a librarian and find love along the way. She loves her daughter so much and sometimes takes her to work with her if none of the guys are available to babysit. Shes also very smart, knowing a little about everything and helping tutor on the side. Elena has set up a program that helps disadvantaged kids with their reading and schoolwork.

Top 10 Ships Involving POC from 10 Different Fandoms

1) Nia Nal x Querl Dox (Brainia) - Supergirl

These two swiftly climbed my list of favorite ships. I think their dynamic is so sweet. They’re both such dorks but in different ways, and I love watching headstrong, outspoken Nia alongside brilliant, somewhat social-novice Brainy. I think they complement each other well.

Also, I think all the time about that scene in season 4 where Brainy is watching Nia’s interview and asks Lena, teary eyed, “What does love feel like?” Because it was Nia sharing herself with the world that cemented for him that he loved her. Their relationship is built on the both of them seeing one another for everything that they are and loving each other for it. And that’s beautiful.

2) Sweet Pea x Fangs Fogarty (Swangs) - Riverdale

I’m hopeless. Anyway Toni/Sweet Pea/Fangs is the only main friend group I want from this awful show. Core Four is OUT, the Three Serpents are IN (and let Swangs officially date k thx). I just love the dynamic of the short sweeter one named after a sharp object and the tall violent one with “sweet” in his name.

3) Maia Roberts x Simon Lewis (Saia) - Shadowhunters

They were really good for each other, and 100% they should have ended up together. (Though Jimon and that fucking “boop boop” get me every time...)

4) Mason Hewitt x Corey Bryant (Morey) - Teen Wolf

They’re just so soft !! It was a hard choice between these two and Malira (or Scalira 👀). So many good options! But they win this round.

5) Ximena Sinfuego x Calli Adams Foster (Calmena) - The Fosters

WHY IS SHE NOT ON GOOD TROUBLE?! HELLOOO

They had their impromptu dance party and I was a goner.

7) Ellie Chu x Aster Flores (Ellster?) - The Half of It

This movie! This! Movie! We didn’t actually see a whole lot of Ellie and Aster interacting, but I love that their relationship is built on depth and mutual understanding and how this whole journey resulted in the two of them helping each other come to terms with who they are without actively trying to. (Aster didn’t even know she was writing Ellie until the end. And yet...)

8) Octavia Blake x Lincoln Kom Trikru - The 100

A relationship built on valuing one another’s differences and learning to love by learning about one another and the cultural in-betweens? In a world where their people are planning to kill each other based on these differences? Yes, please. 

9) Spencer James x Olivia Baker (Spelivia) - All American 

This one’s a new love for me. I was more for platonic Spelivia through my first watch, but now I dunno. 👀 And this whole dance sequence was hella cute!

10) Claire Novak x Kaia Nieves (Dreamhunter) - Supernatural

Kaia (not dark!kaia) was in one (1) episode, and because Supernatural is allergic to anything but white men Claire isn’t in it a whole lot either. (The CW took one look at Wayward Sisters and said “nope. only toxic masculinity allowed in spn-verse”) BUT I loved every second they interacted on my screen. I fall too easily for the wlw.

Bonus: Yusuf al-Kaysani (Joe) x Nicolò di Genova (Nicky) - The Old Guard

Here’s the deal....I really want to include them , but I must confess I still haven’t actually watched the movie. They’ve been high on my list of ships anyway for a while based on this quote alone:

NHL Expansion Draft 2021: Full list of players available for Seattle Kraken

The NHL announced the protected lists for the 30 teams involved in the NHL Expansion Draft. (Vegas is exempt.) With the names of those protected come the guys who could be snatched up by the Seattle Kraken. There are a number of big names that have everyone trying to figure out just what general manager Ron Francis will do. Will he take Canadiens netminder, and future Hall of Famer, Carey Price and his hefty cap hit? Is Vladimir Tarasenko the sniper he needs or is his health a big question mark? Summary:  Calloway Camden spent her whole life three trailers down from Pea.  He was the only person that could get her to talk to him, but once he joined the Serpents they grew apart.  Anemone, her favorite flower, is the flower for loneliness- certainly fitting the isolated lifestyle she made for herself.  That is until the Battle of Sunnyside leaves her broken, bringing Sweet Pea into her life once again.

A/N: A few days ago, I introduced Calloway as my newest OC.  Her story found me, and I’m glad that it did.  I would like to thank @ella-full-of-secrets and @hugharekillianmelou for ALWAYS being supportive and great resources in forming my characters and story.  @cactiem was kind enough to beta for me so I definitely appreciate that, and @theharvestgirloffire ‘s excitement from the introduction of Callie meant the world to me. I also really just want to thank every single person on Southside Archive Discord.  Every person I’ve come across is kind and inspires me every single day to be better and dig deeper.  I would not write were it not for the encouragement I always find there.            Each step she took numbly away from her childhood home made her ache.  She lost her sense of direction a few miles back, now only carrying on to keep herself from falling apart.  Her ribs throbbed, her cuts stung, and she was mildly suspicious of the amount of blood she was losing, but she couldn’t stop. Sunnyside had fallen, and the Ghoulies came quickly to stake their claim over the properties and the inhabitants that were unaware of the battle raging right under their noses.  They showed no mercy.

                 Headlights flashed quickly behind her, and suddenly the vehicle was rolling to a stop.  Too afraid to look over her shoulder, she clutched her ribs tightly and limped as quickly as she could.  “Calloway?” a familiar voice called out. She didn’t trust the lies her weak body might’ve been telling her and kept running.

                 “NO,” she bit out.  “You have done enough to me tonight, please.”

                 The voice came closer as she felt herself fading. “Get away from me,” she mumbled, although she recognized the face that was staring at her, worried.  She tried to fight him off but eventually passed out in her classmate- Fangs Fogarty’s arms.

                 Fangs had been released from the hospital earlier that evening.  After recovering from the initial shock of discovering that the young Serpent had not died from the gunshot, FP ordered him to rest.  When Fangs insisted that he had to do something, he was tasked with rounding up any Southsiders that might’ve gotten tangled up in the crossfire. He knew deep down what he might find, but the sight of what they did to this girl made him sick.  He laid her across the backseat so he could get to the Wyrm where the other Serpents and, most importantly, Dr. Ellis were camped out.

                 Sweet Pea was defeated.  In one fell swoop, the Ghoulies nearly took out his leader, stole his home, and ruined the only family he ever knew.  No matter how hard they fought, their numbers were just too much to overcome.  Dr. Ellis fussed over him as soon as he walked in, begging Pea to let him examine the wound on his head and the knuckles of his fists, but he refused.  Instead, he sunk into a barstool on the far side of the Wyrm, letting the pain, that he felt he deserved, drown in as much whiskey as Hog Eye could pour.

                 He was a few glasses in when a shock of blonde hair caught his attention, pulling him instantly from his seat.  Seeing her barely conscious, hanging limply in Fang’s arms had his stomach in knots and he couldn’t quite figure out why.  Fangs laid her carefully on the pool table that Ellis was using as his station.  Sweet Pea gravitated to her and crouched down close to her pale face.  One eye was swollen pitifully shut, but the other one fluttered open.  A piercing blue eye confirmed what he knew deep down from the moment she was brought in. “Oh God, Callie,” he groaned, reaching for her hand and dropping his head onto the table beside her.

                 Toni’s head snapped to his face at his mention of her name, and she made her way through the small crowd that gathered. The doctor wasted no time calling out orders for supplies to be gathered.  “What happened, Fangs?” he asked.

                 “I don’t know.  I found her like this on Highway 12.  She thought I was one of them…told me to just let her go.  She was so scared she wouldn’t even stop to look.” He dragged his sleeve across his face quickly before continuing.  “Whatever they did…. It wasn’t good.”

                 “Yeah, they did a number on her.  Her lip is split, there are contusions everywhere… I’m most concerned about the ones on her neck and her ribs- my guess is that there are a few that are cracked.  Oh and the concussion she likely sustained.  Hell, they even swiped her a few times with their blade.  I need to get this one stitched on her leg before she bleeds out. It’s too close to a major artery for my comfort.”

                Ignoring the sting of his own injuries, Sweet Pea refused to leave her side.  Around the pull of the second stitch, tears began to well up in the corner of her eye as she let out strangled moans.  Pea rubbed the back of her hand tenderly with the pad of his thumb and stroked the hair away from his sweaty brow.  “I’m sorry, Callie.  God, I’m sorry.”

                 Toni dropped a hand to his shoulder and he smiled slightly at her.  “You’re safe now.  We’ve got you, girl.” She spoke to Callie before turning her attention back to Pea. “Can we talk?”

                 “If you can say what you gotta say right here. I’m not leaving her again.”

                 Toni nodded, expecting as much from him.  She understood what Calloway meant to Sweet Pea. The two might’ve grown apart over the years, but Toni knew he kept a watchful eye on the girl in trailer 2b that only talked through her guitar.  “I thought someone was assigned to evacuate the remaining Sunnysiders.  What happened to that?

                 Sweet Pea’s jaw clenched as the wheels in his head started turning.  “I sent Lonnie and Madden myself hours before the fight even broke out.  Have you seen them?”

                 “Come to think of it I haven’t…” she trailed off.

                 “Get the recruits to find them.  I want them both here in front of me before the night is over.”  Toni hugged his shoulders, sympathetically.

                 “I’ll take care of it, Pea, I promise.”

                 He grabbed her hand and squeezed it.  “Thank you, Toni.”

                 She playfully fake punched the corner of his jaw and winked before calling for her girlfriend.  “Babe, we’ve got a few more skulls to crack.”

                 Sweet Pea turned around to Callie again to see Dr. Ellis finishing up.  “Sweet Pea, are you going to stay with her?”

                 “Yeah, doc, I am,” he answered quickly wiping away the sheen of sweat on her face.

                 The doctor sighed and nodded swiveling in his chair to face Sweet Pea completely.  “Okay then here’s what you need to know.  From my assessment, your friend was beaten and choked.  Two of her ribs are definitely cracked and they’ll need to be wrapped.  Her ankle is broken and I have reset that.  I don’t think surgery will be necessary, but you need to have her in my office for an x-ray first thing tomorrow. Come in through the back.  We can keep an eye on her stitches.  They can probably come out in a few days. Tonight, you need to be mindful of her concussion.  She’ll need to rest, but make her answer a few questions every now and then.”

                 “You got it, doc.” Sweet Pea nodded, looking over at Callie briefly.

                “Another thing…” Dr. Ellis trailed off. “Sweet Pea, I think that one of the Ghoulies might’ve tried to…take advantage of her.  I don’t think they were successful, but just remember to be very patient with her okay?”  Sweet Pea gulped, feeling sick and fighting mad.  “Call me if you need me, yeah?”

                 Sweet Pea thanked him and reached for the drink Hog Eye set on the bar for him after hearing the exchange.  Callie was sleeping soundly, thanks to the medicine Dr. Ellis provided.  Hog Eye shuffled around the bar to stand beside Pea, tipping back a glass of his own. “Listen, kid, there’s a room upstairs to the far left.  It’s got a nice bed, a few chairs, a bathroom, and a t.v.  FP used to crash there back in the day, but since he’s been sober, it’s been kept clean.  Why don’t you take her on up there? We’ve gotta pack everyone in here anyways, and she’s in the worst shape. Wouldn’t feel right giving it to anyone else.”

                  The tired Serpent was relieved, hoisting Callie up gingerly cradling her head safely in the crook of his neck.  Toni spotted Pea and Callie and followed the pair up the stairs, opening doors and turning on the lights in the makeshift apartment.  “Fangs gave me her bag. It’s got some clothes in it.  She might be more comfortable if she was out of those sticky things. Want me to help get her changed?”

                 Pea sat her carefully on the bed and reached for his own bag.  “Yeah, thanks, Toni.  I’m gonna hit the back showers anyway.  I won’t be long.”

                 “No worries, man.”  He shut the door carefully behind him.  The heat of the water pounding down on him was exactly what he needed.  He let the blood and the muck from this horrible day wash down the drain.  His head, however, was still heavy with guilt. If he had just gone to Sunnyside himself, this never would’ve happened.  If he had never lost touch with Callie in the first place, he would’ve found a way to keep her safe…he felt that he should’ve found a way regardless.

                 Thankfully, he managed to bring his sweats and he pulled them gratefully from the bag along with his toothbrush.  Feeling a thousand pounds lighter, he padded back across the hall. Toni had Callie bundled up in clean clothes and managed to get her long curls tamed into a bun.  Despite the visible injuries that worried both the Serpents in the room she looked more comfortable.

                Slowly, he sat on the bed next to her as Toni gathered her bloody clothes to throw in Hog Eye’s washing machine. As he was lifting his hand to cradle her own, she stirred.  Her stare focused on him, and she let out a weak, “Hey, stranger.”

                 He chuckled softly at her.  “Hey, you. How are you feeling?”  She moved to sit up too quickly, hissing as her ribs protested. His hands went to her shoulders immediately, guiding her back into the pillow.

                 “I’ve been better.  Where are we?”

                “Upstairs at the Wyrm.  Hog Eye offered it to you for as long as you need it.” She nodded and smiled slightly, crinkling the glue the doctor used to secure her lip.  Sweet Pea moved to the spot next to her, leaning into the pillows himself and turning on the television, remembering how comforted she was by the background noise.

                 “Sweet Pea…”

                 His eyes snapped up, hearing his name fall from her mouth for the first time in years.  “Yeah?”

                “You’re going to stay here with me, right?” she asked, shaking slightly. He reached his hand out to cup her cheek. He remembered how it felt to be trapped in her gaze. Clearly, time hadn't weakened the spell it put him under. Sweet Pea learned very early on that nothing could grip him quite like the ever-present desperation in her thousand-yard stare.

                 “As long as you want me.”  She accepted his answer and drifted back to sleep.  A few episodes of Cheers later, Toni slipped back into the room.  He moved to meet her by the door, avoiding waking Callie up.

                 “What’s up, Topaz?” he whispered.                

                 “We’ve got them downstairs- Lonnie and Madden. They betrayed us and jumped ship. You want me to sit with her while you handle them?  FP said you have complete authority over their punishment.”  Sweet Pea grinned.  Finally, an opportunity to do what he does best and let off some steam. He looked back at Callie and reached for the doorknob.

                 “Yes, if you don’t mind.  I’m going to enjoy this.” He was halfway out the door when he hesitated and added, “If she wakes up, come get me.  I don’t care what I’m in the middle of, okay?”

                 Toni agreed and he bounded down the steps eagerly. The entire bar was waiting in anticipation around the two Serpent Traitors tied to chairs.

 .            “Hello, assholes,” he boomed, reveling in their discomfort as they flinched.  “Ready to have some fun?”

Welcome to Riverdale (Fangs x Ellie x Sweet Pea)

Chapter 1: Sunny Side

It had been 4 months since Ellie had moved to Riverdale to live with her dad, FP Jones, and her brother Jughead. Ellie was the product of another one of FP’s flings (making Jug her half-brother but that didn’t matter to either of them). So, when her mother found out she was pregnant, instead of telling FP, she packed up and moved to London. She didn’t want to live there anymore and she had always wanted to go there so why not? However, when she got there, things became less than satisfactory for her. She had the baby but ended up going into extreme debt forcing her to do...other jobs to support for Ellie. However, things soon got the best of her forcing Ellie back to Riverdale at the age of sixteen.

Since moving back, Ellie had joined the Southside Serpents, her dads local gang. However, Ellie saw it as more than a gang. Like the other members she thought of the Serpents as family. They gave her a place in the community and blessed her with her best friend, Fangs Fogarty. When Ellie arrived in Riverdale, she was overwhelmed with all of the thinks that were going on, Jason Blossoms mysterious death, the begrudging of the serpents, her dad being thrown in jail for a murder he didn’t commit, and to top it all off, the wrath of Riverdale Highs “it-girl” Cheryl Blossom, Jason’s twin. Cheryl hates the fact that Ellie was a serpent and FP’s daughter. All she knew was that FP had killed Jason and that Ellie was responsible for it even though she didn’t even know Jason.

Fangs and Ellie connected as soon as she came to live in Sunny Side Trailer Park. When FP introduced her to the rest of the serpents he immediately knew that he had to meet her, talk to her, get to know her. He ran up to her after the speech and introduced himself.

“Hi I’m Fangs. I see that you need some...let’s say assistance I’m getting to know how things work. Let me help.”

He was beaming so she couldn’t help but say yes. Over time, her and Fangs began to get closer. They were best-friends to say the least and were inseparable. The only problem was Sweet Pea.

Sweet Pea was Ellie’s age but was tall, and broad. He would often be at the Wrym, shooting pool or silently judging from the corner of the room. He and Fangs were long time best friends but he didn’t like Ellie. He felt like she was a “fake” serpent because she wasn’t from the Southside. He would never even give her the chance to prove herself because he had some crazy vendetta against anyone who wasn’t from the Southside. Ellie often ignored him but a few times her and Sweet Pea would get into it. Yelling in each other’s faces, pointing fingers, blaming one another for something completely irrelevant to why they were actually arguing. Fangs hated it but he couldn’t change either of their stubborn minds.

It was a Friday night so most of the Serpents were at the Wyrm either drinking or playing pool. Ellie say at one of the corner tables, drink in hand, watching Fangs as he got demolished in a game with Sweet Pea. They were laughing, carrying on, and having a good time so Ellie didn’t want to disrupt with her presence. She felt her phone buzz only to reveal a text from fangs asking if she was okay over there and that he would be done soon. She smiled, sending him a quick reply, only to go back to watching the game from a far.

It seemed to go on forever so Ellie decided to play games on her phone. She had became so engaged in the game that she didn’t even notice Fangs walking up to the table.

“Hey cutie!” He said as he pulled out the seat in front of her. Startled she jumped, proceeding to laugh as she couldn’t imagine how he walked up and she didn’t notice. She turned off her phone, putting it into the pocket of her Serpent jacket, then crossing her arms on the table.

“Hey Fangs! I saw you getting your ass kicked by Sweet Pea in that pool game over there” she smirked, nodding her head in the direction of the pool table on the other side of the room.

Laughing Fangs shrugged. “Guess he’s just better than me” He glanced back at Pea and back to Ellie. “I wish you too got along. It would be so fun to hang out with the both of you at the same time you know” he chuckled.

“Yeah I know. I honestly really want to get along with him too but he won’t even talk to me” she looked at Sweet Pea as he beat yet another Serpent in a game of pool.

“That’s true. Hey, do you want to go grab some food at Pop’s, get outta here so we can actually talk without all this commotion.” He asked, hopeful that she would say yes.

“That sounds great!Lets go.” She grabbed her things and walked out to Fangs motorcycle. She grabbed his helmet and put it on, knowing that he would yell at her if she didn’t. She got onto the back of his bike and wrapped her arms around his waist. Fangs started it up and took off in the direction of their favorite spot in town.

They pulled into the diner and noticed that it was relatively empty for a Friday night. Only one booth was full and all the others were empty. Getting off his bike, she strapped his helmet to the handlebars and made her way into Pops. Walking through the door she scanned the space, looking for the booth she wanted. Instead, her eyes landed on a familiar group of friends; Jughead, Betty, Veronica, and Archie. While they weren’t as close to her as Fangs, she still saw them as good friends of hers so, she made her way to the booth.

“Hey guys! I didn’t know you all would be here.” She said, smiling like always. They all looked towards her, grateful to see that it was Ellie and not Cheryl Blossom.

“Hey Ellie, how have you been” spoke Veronica. Veronica, unlike what people like to say about her, is one of the sweetest, most genuine person Ellie had ever met.

“I’m great, just here with Fangs.” Fangs approached the booth and wrapped his arm around her neck. “I’ll leave you guys be. See you around!” She walked to the booth in the back of the diner, her favorite booth because no one tended to sit anywhere near there. They always sat at the bar or in the middle. Never the end.

Ellie slid into the booth, Fangs on the other side, and told Pop Tate what she wanted that night. When he walked away, Fangs was the first to speak.

“I have a question for you” He interlocked his fingers and sat his arms on the table.

“And what would that be?” Ellie asked, confused about his serious tone. However, before he could answer, they were interrupted by Pop Tate.

“One mint-chocolate chip for Ellie, and a burger and fries for Fangs. You two kids enjoy” he said with a smile as he turned and walked back up to the front.

“Well, back to my question, why did you move back here Ellie? We have known each other for months and you still haven’t told me” Fangs picked up multiple fries and shoved them in his mouth. Curiosity lingered in his eyes.

“I would rather not talk about it Fangs.” She sighed. She noticed the look of hurt in Fangs eyes. He knew that something bad must have happened but he was her best friend, she should be able to tell him. “I’m sorry Fangs, I know I should tell you but I don’t really think I can. They only people that know are my dad and I and I want to keep it that way.” Fangs decides not to ask her again.

They continued eating and made conversation until they had both finished. They paid the bill and walked outside to Fangs motorcycle. Waiting on Ellie to put on the helmet, Fangs leases against the bike and crossed his arms.

“Do you want to come to my place and watch a movie or something before you go back home?” He knew things were still tense from the bomb he dropped on her earlier in the night and all he wanted to do was ease the tension between them.

“I’m actually really tired Fangs. I would love to go but I really need some sleep” She was exhausted from a night of studying last night and needed a reboot. Fangs nodded and got on the bike to take Ellie home.

The ride seemed like it lasted forever. However, when he pulled up to the Jones’ trailer, he wished that it would last longer. Ellie got off giving Fangs the helmet.

“I’ll see you tomorrow Fangs. Goodnight” she smiled and walked up the steps to the door.

“Goodnight Ellie.” He smiled as he put the helmet on the handle and walked the bike to his trailer.

Fangs knew what he had to. When he watched her walk away, he knew that he needed to figure out what happened to her that was so bad. What was so terrible that she wouldn’t even tell him about it? Was it because it would change the way he thought of her?

He took out his phone and dialed the number of Jughead Jones, hoping that he was still with Betty. The phone rang three times before Fangs got an answer.

“Hello Fangs, is everything okay?” Jughead asked confused. Fangs almost never called Jug unless there was trouble.

“Yeah, yeah, everything’s fine. Are you with Betty?” He needed both of them together because he didn’t want to risk Ellie finding out in case Jug was home.

“Yes...why do you ask?” Jugheads confusion was building. Why did Fangs need Betty?

“I need your help. Both of you. It’s about Ellie.”

Star Crows return, Giants rush back key tall

ADELAIDE has been bolstered by the return of star midfielder Rory Sloane and All Australian defender Rory Laird for Saturday's must-win clash against West Coast at Adelaide Oval.

STAR midfielder Rory Sloane makes a welcome return from a foot injury for Adelaide's must-win match against West Coast on Saturday. Sloane (foot) will play his first game since round four, while Laird resumes after missing the past two matches with a broken hand. Lock-down defender Luke Brown returns from an ankle injury, while first-year forward Darcy Fogarty, midfield bull Cam Ellis-Yolmen and Curtly Hampton round out the Crows' six inclusions. Superstar forward Eddie Betts (hamstring), Andy Otten (Achilles), Sam Gibson (hamstring) and dumped trio Patrick Wilson, Rory Atkins and Myles Poholke make way, while link-man Tom Lynch will spend at least another week on the sidelines after suffering a mild concussion at training on Wednesday. Brendon Ah Chee and first-year midfielder Brayden Ainsworth come in for the Eagles who have lost veteran sharpshooter Mark LeCras to a wrist injury and axed dashing defender Jackson Nelson. Superboot Matthew Suckling (Achilles) is back for the Western Bulldogs' Friday night encounter against Geelong at Etihad Stadium, while defender Brad Lynch will make his AFL debut. The pair come in for Mitch Honeychurch (omitted) and cult figure Caleb Daniel (knee soreness). Star defender Harry Taylor and Cam Guthrie come into the Geelong team for their first matches since rounds nine and three respectively, while Quinton Narkle will be the club's sixth debutant this season. Hard-nosed midfielder Brayden Sier will make his debut in place of gun Collingwood midfielder Adam Treloar who will be sidelined until late August after injuring both hamstrings in the 20-point win over Carlton last-start. Ruckman Jonathon Ceglar returns from a quad injury for the Hawks who will be without champion Shaun Burgoyne (hamstring) for the next month.
