The Death of Marci Wiseman The sisters at St. Willow Boarding School sent Marci Wiseman home as soon as she started showing symptoms associated with the Smallpox epidemic. Due to the close quarters shared by all of the students and faculty, they could not risk the disease spreading through the large halls of the prestigious boarding school. This was a very wise decision because it had not been a weeks time after her arrival to her childhood home before Marci took her last breath. She was surrounded by her mother, Ella, and father, Luca, at the time of her passing. Unfortunately, her brother Vincent arrived the following day.
