Summary: Ibis’ childhood cont

At 11 Ibis got his first girlfriend, a girl from his class named Anna, because his older siblings got in relationships too and that made it cool. Uene inadvertently told Ibis that the house rule for girls was that they (he and Katra) had to meet them first before they could spend time over. Kiki couldn’t stand her so she was happy when they finally broke up later.

Another trip! This time the family went to Monte Vista. Both Ari and Eti now had boyfriends who also tagged along in this trip. Ulene rented a big house for the 11 of them. They met an old fae, Agatha, who recognized the pink hair. They discovered that she was related to them, sort of, she identified herself as the adoptive mother of a Lewis Notte, which was the family’s last name in Bridgeport. Lara changed it and then adopted Deadwyler after marrying Alan. Lewis didn’t have pink hair but his wife did and Agatha had a picture of them. Also during this trip Ibis met Francesca, who believed him to be 15 instead of almost 13. When Ulene found out he made him tell the truth which obviously meant she didn’t want to see him anymore. Before the trip ended Ulene and Ibis had a little chat about the responsibility of having a Pink haired heir.

Ibis’ more rebellious years begin. Before he’d broken rules and gotten punished but now he started taking things to new extremes. He got his piercings, eventually got his tattoos, started smoking, and making more drinks and the drugs him and his friends (Kiki and Pubert) would smoke. He didn’t care that he was breaking his mom’s biggest rule of absolutely no drugs or smoking. He also tried to date Kiki, and they hooked up for a bit, but when he wanted to take a step further she said no and everything ended.

10th grade and over the summer Ibis came up with a ridiculous plan that would end with him getting laid. His friends laughed when he told them and assured him they’d help but it wasn’t going to work. “No girl would fall for something so stupid!”. Well, one did. Ibis started ‘tutoring’ girls, first having lunch at school, then taking them home for dinner with the family so everyone would get a chance to meet, and finally ending in his room where he did everything he could to not open a book. Taia fell, hard, for him, and so their non-relationship relationship started. Saylor, Taia’s best friend, was vocally against this and even intimidated Ibis with her half-demon powers, but he took it in good stride because he had no intention of causing any harm. Because he lied he got grounded and punished, but he kept sneaking around to see her, and the whole thing started a vicious cycle. His mom was also on his ass for smoking which also kept extending his punishments. At the end of the year his school work had suffered so much due to absences that he had two choices, all boys military school, or Yinera Ealin Academy for genius occults. 

He chose the Academy. He boarded there in Moonlight Falls for the last two years of high school\, where he made new friends and ‘dated’ new interesting girls. His roommate Kayne (and his brother Kale) became his new best friends, along with twins Emma and Grace. Emma was a frequent visitor of Ibis’ bed while Grace dated Kayne. Ibis also secretly ‘dated’ prom queen, class president, and actual fairy princess Ella, and a bunch of other girls, much to her distaste.

Ibis returned home to a Graduation party where everyone, even from neighboring towns, attended. Benny finally sealed the deal with girlfriend Gen, Timmy found some courage and did his first magic show performance in front of a crowd, Blaze and her new buddies escaped town after killing a guy right outside the venue, and Ibis hooked up with Taia after not having seen her for two years. Then it was off to college for Benny and Timmy, but off to travel the world for Ibis. With either friends (Kayne mostly) or family (his grandma Lara) he went to many cities around the world and had fun. He even visited his siblings in college.

Ella had come out of apparently nowhere and shoved Emma away from Ibis. The small fairy got up in Emma’s face and yelled. “Step away right this instant!”

“Are you kidding me?” Emma replied back, standing her ground. “No!”

“Do it!” Ella pushed her with all her might causing Emma to step back some feet.

“I will not, bitch.” Emma pushed her back. The fairy wasn’t expecting Emma to be so strong so she ended up further back than Emma had been. Still, she flew and again pushed her.

Eventually the pushes became punches and the words and swearing became plain screaming and random bursts of magic from both witches.

Ella came out victorious after using some fairy trick that momentarily paralyzed Emma. Ibis grabbed Emma and took her to a room upstairs where there was no one and they could talk.

Other rooms work too...

Everyone has their own laptop/cellphone/tablet/holo-computer so no one uses this room unless it’s for a class.

Tonight as part of the magical training witches got, they got to practice dueling. Ella had decided to show up and was winning against everyone...admittedly using fairy tricks. Every time the teacher noticed she lectured Ella.

Ibis was sitting down waiting for his turn to duel. Emma came around and sat next to him. “Ugh, I soooo hate her. She never plays fair. It’s all about winning with her.”

Ibis chuckled. “I suppose.”

She exclaimed with disgust. “Right. I forgot. You’re fucking her.”

“Careful. People aren’t supposed to know.” He said with a fake warning tone. He personally didn’t care if people knew but Ella had been clear about keeping things under wraps. Her own ‘friends’ weren’t privy to the details of their relationship. Officially they only knew Ibis as Ella’s drug dealer and a guy willing to do dirty works for her. Some suspected there was more going on but didn’t dare to ask. Of course, Kayne, Kale, Gracie and Emma all knew.

“Idiot.” Emma rolled her eyes.

They adjusted their clothes in silence once they were done.

“Don’t forget to give me what I asked for.” She reminded him.

“Right.” He searched his pockets and dug out a couple of bags. He quickly assembled the pack she’d asked for and handed it over. Then he took out his phone and noted the time. “Whoa! I’m super late for class.”

“Don’t worry. I’ll excuse you.”

“I’m sorry, I wasn’t aware you were the school’s new principal.”

“You underestimate my talents.” She went over to the door and knocked in a specific rhythm. “Leave now, the excuse will arrive shortly.”

The same fairy from before opened the door and let Ibis out.

He was pleased that the curtain Ibis had put was doing its job. He couldn't see or hear anything going on the other side. If it hadn’t been for the text Ibis had sent him earlier, Kayne could've sworn the room was empty. Well that and the fact he could feel the curtain.

On the other side of the curtain Ella jumped at the sound of the door. Even though Ibis assured her they had their privacy she still insisted she should leave. Quickly she got dressed and turned back into fairy form, leaving the same way she had come in.

Ibis made his way to Ella who had her arms crossed and was tapping her foot. “Finally!” She said when he was there.

“What do you want, Princess?” He asked with the smirk he always did when he made her irritated.

“Are you pleased with your schedule? I arranged it myself.” Before any warning she took the paper from his hands to inspect it.

“Oh yeah, I wanted to ask, what's that about Student Council? It's eating away my chill time.”

“It's mandatory, idiot. You're part of my team. I'm thinking about adding one-on-one meetings but we'll discuss those later…” She finally handed over the schedule.

Ella had texted Ibis earlier to make sure he was alone in his room. After a confirmation she’d flown in through the window on her small fairy form. Ibis gladly received her ready for some fun time.

Kayne didn't want to go in the room, so far he had successfully managed to avoid being there while his roommate got busy. He thought about staying up all night studying and just coming in late. Sadly it was almost midnight and it seemed Ibis still had the “guest” with him, and Kayne was tired. Reluctantly he opened the door and headed to bed.

Ibis was in the debate room, waiting. They were about to announce the student president winner and Ella had gone off to oversee the counting in person. He was fine just hearing the result through the speakers. The door unexpectedly swung open and in came Ella running.

“I won! They just finished counting! I WON!” She exclaimed happily.

Ibis had his arms extended to give her a congratulatory hug but she surprised him by instead jumping on him and kissing him. He immediately grabbed her and kissed her back.

After the initial kiss she stepped back down again. He looked at her, expectantly. The fairy took a step forward, pushing him backwards onto the table. She then climbed over him, holding down his hands and kissing him again.

Right before elections were to take place, all candidates would address the class with one final speech. As Ella’s campaign manager, Ibis stood, not in the audience, but at a corner of the amphitheater*. He’d been practicing like never before for what he was about to do.

When coming up with ideas on how to make Ella victorious a series of plans came up. The seemingly obvious one was to have Ibis mentally convince everyone in the voting room to vote for Ella. It was a rather simple vampire mind trick that, as Ella said, Ibis should be able to do in his sleep. However the voting station was being guarded by principal Foss himself to avoid tricks like those.

Ibis knew the only trick he could use was the unusual thought insertion he possessed. An ability so unique not even all vampires knew it was possible.

As the first candidate took the podium and placed his printed speech in front of him, Ibis prepared himself. The goal was to make him deviate from what was printed and had him say something embarrassing, disgusting, or outrageous. Whatever would cause his followers to suddenly not give him their vote.

“Have you considered my offer?” Ella was suddenly on Ibis side, asking.

“Yes.” He looked at her straight in the eyes.

“You do know being my campaign manager counts as student council participation, right?”

“Do you have like a bug in the principal's office?” Ibis had literally just come out of the meeting. It was kind of outstanding how fast this fairy found out about things.

“Not yet. Anyway think about it. You'll be able to check off that requirement and I'll keep everything else I know you've done to myself. But in order to do that…”

“I have to accept your ‘campaign manager’ position.”

“And perhaps some other positions but we'll discuss those later. What do you say?”

Other positions? He really hoped it meant what he think. “Yes.”

“I need your help.” Ella said after dragging Ibis to a nearby closet. He’d been happily minding his own business when her hand grabbed his sweater and pulled him in.

“Finding your G spot?” He joked.

“You wish.” She countered. “As you know I’m running for school president.”

“I think I’ve seen some of the promo.” Honestly, he’d seen her head in so many posters around school it was impossible to miss.

“Well, I want to win. That means I’m going to win. And you will make that happen.”

“Why would I help you out when you hate me?”

“Because if I'm president I can help you out.” Ibis pondered for a second and then she added “Or I could spell your expulsion.”

“What do you mean?”

“How do you think the administration will react about the substances you make?”

Ibis didn’t know if to believe her or not. That wasn’t enough to actually get him expelled, right?

“Are you really going to test me?”

“I’ll think about it.” He finally told her and left.

Ibis told Ella the effects of many of potions he had on hand. He also described others he could do while encouraging her to try some of the benign ones like the ‘No smell of sense’ one. She rolled her eyes constantly but was actually amazed by some of his inventions. She was surprised of how well the potion she had just tried worked.

“So where is your roommate?”

“On a date.” He was looking for a particular box

“So we have the room to ourselves.”

“Yes.” He smiles and shows her the content of the box. Inside there were an assortment of baggies or other little jars filled with things that looked like spices. They were actually the fillings of his blunts. “I also make these. Most are smokable versions of the potions I showed you. Some are opiates.”

"Ibis!” A shrill caught his attention from down the hall. He turned around to see Ella. “You owe me something!” She reminded him.

“Yeah yeah. I’ll get it to you later.”

“Good. Don’t forget!”

In order to plan their revenge Ibis and Ella had been meeting in secret. This time she had reluctantly agreed to meet in his room.

“Seriously?! This is the room they give to a King?” She scoffed.

“I didn't pick it. Else I would have a room for just me.”

“That's how my room is.” She flipped her hair and cautiously sat down on his bed.

“Sorry Princess. If you prefer we can go there.”

“Nevermind. Your potions are here so go ahead, start showing me what you can do.”
