Has something happened that has knocked you off your feet? Feel like you are in a wilderness? #prayitup
“Father, I am dry and lonely. I am tired and out of answers. I don’t see how I’ll ever get beyond this and feel right again about anything. But even though I do feel lost and rudderless right now, I believe – by faith – that You haven’t lost me. Thank You for being willing AND able to make this wilderness my next step in a new direction. You will lead me through it and meet me on the other side. In Jesus’ name, amen.” Priscilla Shirer #ElijahBibleStudy #focusup #Jesus

#ThinkOnThis #HeartTOHeart #ChangeItUP
“Yahweh allows the stuff of this Earth to be lacking in its ability to fulfill us so that we have no choice but to look to Him for our ultimate satisfaction. It is easy to feel as if we’re “essential” to God’s work getting done. We can begin to carry a weight that is His alone to bear, then expect the glory that is His alone to receive. I’m not as necessary to the greater work of God, as much as the greater work of God is necessary in me.” Priscilla Shirer #ElijahBibleStudy

#GoodMorningManna
Then the word of the Lord came to him: “Leave here, turn eastward, and hide at the Wadi Cherith where it enters the Jordan. You are to drink from the wadi. I have commanded the ravens to provide for you there.” So he proceeded to do what the Lord commanded. Elijah left and lived at the Wadi Cherith where it enters the Jordan. The ravens kept bringing him bread and meat in the morning and in the evening, and he would drink from the wadi. '1 Kings 17:2-6
“God sent Elijah to Cherith. This was dry, parched, thirsty fallow ground. Even if he’d tried, Elijah knew he couldn’t feed himself there. It was unthinkable. God had put Elijah in a position where no other options were possible no other options than God Himself. Elijah had no choice but to trust God and God alone for His daily bread.” Priscilla Shirer

1277 days without rain #ElijahBibleStudy
“In this season of your life is there something you’ve been fixated on, something you desired in the same way the Israelites desired rain? Why do you want it so much? What has the delay in receiving it given to you or produced in you. What opportunities has this unmet need/want presented? What relationship or encounters has it fostered. What uptick in spiritual intimacy has it facilitated?” Priscilla Shirer
After a long time, the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year: “Go and present yourself to Ahab. I will send rain on the surface of the land.” 1 Kings 18:1

Happy Saturday to you and yours. The best way to start this weekend is with some #goodmorningmanna
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops. James 5:15-18

“I see a man who was unmotivated by cultural acceptance, indifferent to the approval of his peers, uninterested in impressing others with his own ability.” Priscilla Shirer

“During the times when you are weakened, whether physically or emotionally, you must be intentional about girding yourself against the enemy’s schemes. Put on the full armor of God and be vigilant about it. Make sure that you are fitted securely with the helmet of salvation so that your mind remains protected against his lies and attempts to take advantage of you.” #PriscillaShirer #ElijahBibleStudy

“Elijah’s whole life was instructed and informed by the lessons of solitude. God was his companion and trusted friend when no one else was around to engage in conversation. He learned from hard experience that there was no place he could ever be in the whole wide world and not be in the holy, protective presence of Almighty God.” Priscilla Shirer #ElijahBibleStudy
There is so much deception, our mediatic false frenzy has taken over our airwaves and we have no clue at times what true or false. But what we do know is that we KNOW the Spirit of Truth, Jesus, and we don't know what we "think we know"! Jesus is our anchor that will hold us through these deceptive times. Look to Him.

Priscilla Shirer Quote
“First, let’s quit trying to hide our humanity from God, from others, and even from ourselves. Elijah’s humanity his Anthropos was not a liability to God’s purposes. Neither is yours. Being human never prevented God from using yielded servants, like you and I can be, to what He’s called us to accomplish.” Priscilla Shirer #ElijahBibleStudy
