overhated female characters mean the world to me and i will protect them with my life because fandoms have no right to judge them for acting like someone who went through unimaginable trauma and call them annoying for their understandable behavior.

Day 14 - Elite Four
One of my favorite characters (despite appearing only once or are posthumous)
Day 15 - Family
Headcanon of mine is that Serra's natural hair is light blue and she side dyed half of it pink. Bennet inherited her eye colour only.

One of the more interesting minor notes in the more recent Pokémon games is that different characters, such as the Team Star bosses, use different types of Pokéballs. It’s a neat characterization detail. So I thought I would apply to Reborn’s characters.
Also here’s some visual references:
Gym Leaders
Julia-Fast. Only her Voltorb and Electrode actually get the bonus from it. She uses it because it fits best with her pom-poms.
Florinia-Timer. Statistically the most effective ball.
Shelly-Friend. It’s cute and fits with her forest field.
Shade-Cherish. Mysterious and red.
Aya-Poke. It’s the cheapest.
Serra-Premier. A show of aesthetic and (somewhat former) status.
Noel-Poké. He’s basic.
Radomus-Master. Spent half the coffers on it. Also, because grand”master”.
Luna-Moon. Fits her vibes immaculately.
Samson-Heavy. The circus strongman should lift heavy things. That’s like, his job.
Charlotte-Premier. Both cool and easily available.
Terra-GS balls (or at least, standard pokéballs painted to look like GS balls). The ultimate troll.
Ciel-Wing. White and blue, and associated with flying types. Maybe she learned to make them back out in the country.
Adrienn-Luxury. Only the best for xyr Pokémon!
Titania-Net. Completely symbolic, with no practical use. She’s extra like that.
Amaria-Dive. One can surmise that she spends a lot of time underwater. She likely catches her mons there as well.
Hardy-Repeat. Just thinks it looks cool.
Saphira-Dusk. Very effective and also kinda edgy. Her gym emulates a cave.
Sandy-Luxury. Stolen from Craudberry’s collection.
Elite 4
Heather-Jet. A soaring pokéball for a fast-flyer.
Benett-Nest. He definitely raises his bug Pokémon from the first stage.
Laura-Heal. No explanation needed.
El-Legends Arceus normal Pokéballs. Took up crafting sometime after his sight was restored.
Anna-Dream. Due to the dreamsickness and such.
Ame-Safari. Fits symbolically.
Rivals
Victoria-Heal. Imitating Kiki.
Cain-Love. Flirt.
Fern-Great. Once superior, now outclassed.
Cal-Great. Wanted to show up Blake by using a less effective ball.
Meteors
Aster-Quick. The somewhat hasty one.
Eclipse-Timer. The level-headed one.
Ace-Glimmer. Uses a lot of seals.
Sirius-Ultra. No-nonsense kinda fellow.
Solaris-Gigaton. RVTERN to tradition man himself.
Taka-PLA regular pokéballs. Similar to Solaris but extremely half-assing it.
Lin-Cherish. Mysterious ass.
Zero-Ultra. Looks like Umbreon.
Eve-Quick. Statistically the most efficient ball.
Lumi-Level. Had a very high level Glaceon and little other Pokémon, so she figured that level balls were best for their price.
Sigmund-Ultra. For the intimidation factor.
Blake-Ultra. Try-hard.
[POSTGAME FINAL BOSS]-Reborn
Others
Corey-Poke. To further comparisons Elena makes to child champions.
Kiki-Heal. Has a focus on healing and mental wellness.
Craudberry-Luxury. Purely as a status symbol, would actually make them more uncomfortable if she could.
Eustace-Luxury. Both as a status symbol and genuine care for his mons.
Archer-Team Aqua’s Ball
Maxwell-Team Magma’s Ball
Corin-Rouge-Love. Whore
Elena-Jet. Where Heather got hers from.
Zina-Dream. She is all but one.

which characters in the game are trans and which are cis? and which are straight and which are gay? I think its funny that straight cis people seem to be a small minority in the reborn region. is there a reason for that?
The first question is cut and dry enough that I don't really feel the need to list them here, but there are five non-cis characters. The second question is really interesting to me because I think you missed a couple sexualities in there.
But as asked, Cal is definitely gay. And I think he might be the only one, in that he explicitly states he's not interested in the opposite gender. Going by relationship points, we can probably infer that Samson is exclusively straight too.
Probably, I tend to think of characters as being pan until proven otherwise. I imagine that, independent of social factors, most people would be that way too. Anyway, there are obviously a lot of characters who have expressed preferences within that. For instance, Amaria is clearly sapphic but is that to say she would never be interested in a guy? I don't think it's that black and white, and I can't recall anything in game that she explicitly self-identifies as a lesbian despite her obvious proclivity. So is she gay? I invite the player to hold their own opinion of that based on what they see in game. Same with Julia-- she talks about dating, like, at least eight different guys, but does that mean she's exclusively straight? I don't feel the need to make that call.
But your view of sexuality is obviously less fluid, so let's play by your rules. Let's assume anyone who expresses explicit attraction to anyone besides their opposite gender is not straight. Off the top of my head, from characters with unique portraits, that gives us, in the "gay" category:
Cain, Amaria, Titania, Terra, Ciel, Cal, and I'll even throw Taka in because of the boyfriend question still giving a point even if you play a guy. Seven, plus the aforementioned five non-cis characters.
Now let's list characters who are shown engaging in explicitly heterosexual behavior:
Victoria, Julia, Corey, Elena, Radomus, Zina, Taube, Aya, Hardy, Serra, Samson, Laura, Bennett add I forget if it is explicit but I definitely dropped some hints of Lumi crushing on Noel. ... Fourteen?
Twelve vs Fourteen.
And that's by -your- rules.
I think it's funny that it seems to you like only a "small minority" of the population is straight and cis. Is there a reason for that?

everytime i hear about a book/show with an overhated character (usually a main character) i already know i’m going to love them and it happens EVERY TIME.
clarke griffin, meredith grey, sarah cameron, buffy summers, kiara carrera, rhaenyra targaryen, clint barton, lori grimes, elena gilbert, daenerys targaryen, alina starkov, belly conklin, harry potter, laia of serra, bellamy blake, rey skywalker, skyler white, sejanus plinth, arya stark, etc (give me more so I can add to my collection)
some of these characters have made bad decisions and may not be the best of people, but i feel like that has to be compared to the world they’re in and the people around them. some of them literally did no wrong in my mind though, though.

Few action thrillers manage to balance high-stakes tension with genuine character development, but Jaume Collet-Serra's Carry-On delivers on both fronts. From its opening moments, the narrative plunges viewers into a nerve-wracking scenario that unfolds with relentless urgency. Anchored by a stellar performance from Taron Egerton, the story revolves around Ethan Kopek, a young TSA officer who finds himself caught in a deadly game of manipulation and moral dilemmas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KS0XacjMmOc Premise: Set against the bustling backdrop of Los Angeles International Airport during the holiday rush, the film expertly weaves a claustrophobic atmosphere, heightened by the stakes of Christmas Eve travel. The premise—a TSA officer blackmailed into letting a dangerous weapon through security—immediately grabs attention. It’s a fresh twist on the typical airport thriller, mixing elements of espionage, psychological warfare, and action into a fast-paced narrative that rarely lets up. A Relatable Everyman in Over His Head: Egerton brings depth and vulnerability to Ethan Kopek, making him a compelling protagonist. He’s not the seasoned action hero we might expect but an ordinary man thrust into extraordinary circumstances. Egerton’s portrayal captures Ethan’s escalating desperation as he grapples with the impossible choice of protecting his loved ones or upholding his sense of duty. Sofia Carson’s Nora provides a grounding force for Ethan, and while her role as his supportive but strong-willed girlfriend could have easily been sidelined, she is given her moments to shine. Her character’s emotional stakes are woven into the larger narrative seamlessly, adding weight to the unfolding drama. A Villain Worthy of the Suspense: Jason Bateman’s portrayal of the Traveler is chillingly effective. Soft-spoken but menacing, his antagonist is the perfect foil to Ethan’s vulnerability. The Traveler’s calm demeanor belies his ruthlessness, making him a memorable and unsettling presence throughout the film. His ability to stay one step ahead of Ethan and the authorities keeps the audience on edge, wondering how far his web of control will extend. Danielle Deadwyler’s Detective Elena Cole also deserves recognition for bringing gravitas to her role. As the investigating officer, she provides a necessary counterbalance to Ethan’s frantic maneuvering. Her determination and quick thinking add another layer of tension, especially as her investigation brings her closer to uncovering the truth. A Thriller Built on Realism and Tension: Director Jaume Collet-Serra excels at creating a suffocating sense of urgency. The film’s tightly wound pacing ensures that every scene feels consequential, with the stakes ratcheting higher as the clock ticks down. The airport setting is used to maximum effect, with its labyrinthine corridors, chaotic crowds, and security protocols adding layers of complexity to Ethan’s predicament. The action sequences are grounded rather than over-the-top, making them all the more impactful. From intense confrontations in tight spaces to the climactic showdown aboard a plane, each set piece feels meticulously crafted to keep viewers engaged. The decision to focus on psychological tension rather than bombastic spectacle pays off, creating a film that feels both thrilling and plausible. Themes of Morality and Sacrifice: At its core, the film explores the moral dilemmas faced by individuals under extreme pressure. Ethan’s journey forces him to confront difficult questions about loyalty, responsibility, and the lengths one is willing to go to protect loved ones. These themes are explored without being heavy-handed, allowing the audience to empathize with Ethan’s plight without losing sight of the larger stakes. The screenplay by T.J. Fixman deserves credit for its tight plotting and sharp dialogue. While some tropes of the genre are present—such as the ticking clock and the shadowy conspirators—the story avoids feeling derivative by imbuing its characters with depth and nuance. Visuals and Atmosphere: The cinematography by Lyle Vincent captures the bustling chaos of an airport during the holidays, contrasting the festive cheer with the underlying tension of the plot. The cold, metallic tones of the airport’s interiors mirror the sterile efficiency of its operations while amplifying the isolation Ethan feels as he navigates his ordeal. Composer Lorne Balfe heightens the suspense with a pulsating score that complements the film’s pacing. The music swells at just the right moments, accentuating the urgency of key scenes without overpowering them. Minor Flaws in the Narrative: While the film succeeds on many fronts, it’s not without its shortcomings. Certain plot developments, particularly in the third act, require a suspension of disbelief that might stretch the patience of more discerning viewers. Additionally, some secondary characters, such as Lionel and Sarkowski, feel underdeveloped, serving primarily as plot devices rather than fully fleshed-out individuals. The film’s finale delivers a payoff that feels earned, tying up loose ends while leaving room for reflection. It’s a rare example of a thriller that manages to stick the landing, providing a resolution that is both satisfying and thought-provoking. Overall: Carry-On stands out as a tense, character-driven drama that keeps audiences invested from start to finish. Its mix of psychological suspense, moral complexity, and well-executed action sequences makes it a compelling watch. While it doesn’t completely reinvent the genre, its strong performances and sharp direction elevate it above standard fare. If you’re looking for a gripping, edge-of-your-seat thriller to kick off the holiday season, Carry-On delivers in spades. Read the full article

✨ sobre mim ✨
Constanza Salvatori.
Porém, venho me encantando com as narrativas curtas. Me descobri contista, talvez cronista.
Aproveite a leitura, e qualquer coisa, chama no probleminha! Beijos de luz ✨
