remembered this very old au concept i’ve had since i was tiny watching ninjago for the first time… it completely unravels everything i enjoy about zane in the early seasons and i refuse to think of the necessary rewrites atm but i needed to make at least this one scene exist. can an au be naught but a single panel that makes me Sad?

DAY 3: Day of Devotion!!!

Oughhh I really like this one. Something about Kiran Day of Devotion alt makes me feel things.

This one also comes with some bonus sketches/unfinished wips, because I've actually been playing with the idea of a Kiran and Anna duo alt for a while! Just never refined them into a more complete illustration, you know? But now feels like a good time to share!

Look at those wips! Might one day come back around to them who knows.

I LOVE how you draw Papyrus, Would it be possible to get a tutorial or smth on how you draw him?

preferably with classic or swap, since I'm having trouble getting down how neutral or negative expressions would work with their kind of face

Sorry it's not exactly a tutorial, but just a rough step by step. I generally start with the eyes, then I do the overall face shape. I go fixing it as I draw in the mouth, then do the rest of the head and other details.

As for expressions, it might help if you draw it on something more familiar first. I'm more accustomed to drawing anime style people, so I'll use that as an example. Pay attention to the shape of the eyebrows, the eyes, and the mouth. It'll become easier to translate that into the way you draw these guys!

I don't know if Izzy was ever the 'brings the captain a plate of food and some coffee and water because he's been at the helm for nine straight hours' type. But I think he THINKS he's that type.

It's just that somewhere along the line (or possibly the whole time) bringing Blackbeard a sandwich so he doesn't pass out at the wheel turned into yelling about how "BLACKBEARD DOESN'T NEED TO EAT."

It's like the evil version of being protective of your captain.

Now I'm sad that Ed may not have had anyone to do the "did you eat?" "yes, did YOU eat?" "Yes" "OKAY" check in with on the QAR :(

When you see emotions expressed, are you uncomfortable? What is your relationship to it? Are some emotions ok and others not? Why? Next time you judge someone for expressing themselves, are you not just uncomfortable with your emotions?

My interpretation of Serpentine!Jay, I love this man so much and want to give him a massive hug. T^T

I have a silly headcanon that elemental masters that are infected by the fangpyre go through a different transformation than a normal human would, and instead of eventually aligning with a serpentine tribe on a biological level, they kinda become their own thing and don't resemble any specific serpentine species. They're also a lot bigger than average and have tails instead of legs like the generals- for example, my Jay stands at about 8' tall at full height, though he prefers to slouch to look less intimidating.

I cannot draw and this took me hours, but I'm happy with him. I kept seeing him so vividly in my mind and I needed to be able to physically look at him.
