Desktop Computer monthly electricity units consumption | KWh calculation Here is another interesting video about a electricity units consumption of a desktop computer or gaming pc power consumption watts and how much power does a pc consume.
Computer is a basic device used in homes and offices for storing or computing the data so in this video I explain how much power is my pc using or power consumption of a computer.
I used a digital multimeter and digital clamp meter for voltage and current measurement and then calculate Wattage consumption also called electric power. After that I calculate the KWh consumed by desktop computer which is Core i5 3rd Generation 1050ti graphic card along with 500 watts power supply.
If you want to learn all electrical home appliances power consumption or KWh consumption and billing calculation you can watch my video how much power consume our home electrical appliances.

Starting point
In this project I’ll be working with an excerpt of the GapMinder dataset, which includes one year of diverse country level indicators of health, wealth and development.
The codebook for this excerpt is relatively short: only 15 variables are present, so I plan to work almost with all of them. For example, in addition to the typical relations between income and annual consumption or life expectancy, an interesting topic could be (first topic) how the oil consumption per capita influences the cumulative CO2 emission of countries, or (second topic) the effect that the percentage of urban population (people living in urban areas) has on residential electricity consumption.
Regardin these topics, I found really interesting the document: Trends in global CO2 emissions, an 86 pages review from the PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency in 2016, which concludes that after a slowdown in growth, global CO2 emissions stalled in 2015 (keywords used: co2 emissions vs. oil consumption). This is particularly worrying, so it could be nice to detect if the oil consumption is related to these emissions. It is clearly easier to measure the amount of oil sold that the C02 emitted to the atmosphere, so a proved relation would enable us to better estimate this emissions according to the sold oil.
Concerning urban population and electricity consumption, I found this report entitled: Consumption pattern of electricity in rural and urban areas, by Pragyan Dash, which shows that the electricity consumption is higher in urban areas than in rural ones (keywords used: urban areas and electricity consumption). To also reach this conclusion from the GapMinder dataset would be nice, since that would permit us to predict the energy consumption depending on how the percentages of rural-urban population change.

India's power generation increased for the first time in five months in India in early August [ad_1]
India's electricity generation accelerated for the first time after the initial 15 days of August, provisional government data showed, as the country opened up industries and lifted restrictions to control the spread of coronaviruses.
Power generation increased 2.6% in the first 15 days of August compared to the same period last year, a Reuters analysis of daily load dispatch data from federal grid operator POSOCO showed, compared to a 1.8% drop in July.
In the second half of last month, electricity generation declined by 3.1%.
Electricity usage has increased over the past months, when India was under strict lockdown, mainly due to high demand in the northern states and rising consumption in the highly industrialized western states of Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Industries and offices account for more than half of India's annual electricity usage. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has cited the consumption of electricity to show a "green shoot" in the economy.
Seasonal factors, including hot weather, may increase demand for electricity.
Despite an increase in coronovirus cases and more than 50,000 deaths on Monday, most states have resumed almost all industrial activity and lifted restrictions on the movement of people and goods.
In terms of area, electricity usage in India's largest state Rajasthan has increased by 15.7%. Other states including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh also saw a spurt in power demand.
Renewable energy production, which fell nearly a fifth in July, rose 2.3% in the first half of August. Solar-powered electricity generation increased by 19.3%, while wind-power generation declined by 10%.
Electricity generation from coal - India's primary source of electricity - increased by 4.2% in the first fifteen days of August, this figure shows.

Multiple regression
Today is the day for testing multiple regression within the GapMinder dataset. Concretely, we are interesting in analyzing the influence of that the urban population rate and the consumption of oil per person (explanatory variables) of more than two hundred countries has on their residential electricity consumption (response variable). Let’s start with this analysis preparing the dataset and the variables of interest:
Now that the data is ready to be analyzed, fir we center the explanatory variables by subtracting their mean values:
Finally, we perform multiple regression with the code:
Notice that I’ve used quadratic components for both the urban rate and the oil per person. This reports the following summary:
There are many interesting points in these results. First, we can see how the R-squared value is quite high, 0.658, which means that these variables explain more than the 65% of variability of the residential electricity consumption variable. We can also get the following model coefficients:
electricityconsumption = 2509.84 - 7.4689urbanrate_c - 0.2445urban_rate_c^2 + 1802.97oilperperson_c - 166.04oilperperson_c^2
However, taking a look at the p-values, the urban rate related variables get high p-values, which implies that their relation is not statistically significant. To support this, their interval of confidence contains the 0 value (no relation). The interesting thing is that when the study is carried out only with the urban rate variable, the p-value is low (0.0 and 0.032 for the first and second order variables respectively), so it is clear in this context that the urban rate variable is a confounding variable. The other variable, oil consumption per person, keep a low p-value, supporting the initial hypothesis.
Now it’s time to conduct some additional analysis employing graphical tools. First, it is shown a qq-plot with the code:
That plots:
The ideal output would be a straight line formed by the blue points, and we can see that it is not the case. This indicates that we need to improve our model. For example, if we remove the urban rate confounding variable, we get:
The result is a bit better, but we would need to improve it even more! probably adding additional explanatory variables.
Now they are shown the standardized residuals for all the observations through the code:
There are 2 observations with a value higher than 2.5, and 4 higher than 2 or lower than 2. This gives an intuition that the model can be further improved, and suggested by the previous plot (qq-plot)
Finaly, the leverage plot is displayed with the following code:
From this plot we can identify 4 outliers (residuals greater than 2 or lower than -2). We can also check that most points has similar influence, but there is a “special one” with influence closer to 1! It could be interesting to remove it from the model and see how it affects the results.
