You ever just have media that is so psychologically damaging you end up making the characters in Stardew Valley so they can just,, chill for a bit. They need somewhere to rest and this is where they shall.

Halloween Fun
Our favorite time of the year is back again, and it’s already moving at lightning speed! I celebrated my birthday with very little fanfare (OK by me) but did get a bonus afternoon off, as a gift from my boss.  I ended up getting the oil changed in my car (not so exciting, but felt good to get done) and treating myself to a manicure before the girls got out of school!  Darnell was out of town for work, so I ended up grabbing take-out sushi and enjoying a non-cooking night meal :)
The following weekend we made our yearly visit to the pumpkin patch with the Scott’s.  Darnell did not join us, which was a bit of a bummer but the girls didn’t skip a beat.  It ended up being super overcast (with threats and some actual rain) but we didn’t mind.  In fact, it was great because I think it prevented a lot of people from going.  The kids got to bounce from attraction to attraction with very little wait - it was perfect! We ended up spending nearly 4 hours on the farm, and they got to enjoy every last piece of it!
Daisy got the honor of leading her Brownie troop in a badge (all the girls will do it this year, she just happened to draw the first month) so we had a fun (but busy) time with it.  She chose the “Pets” badge (no surprise there) and it was fun!  It’s meant to be “girl-led” and I tried to let her do it as much as possible, but I was still the one running around town for supplies, printing off sheets, and getting it all organized.  It was fun to watch her in action though.  Although it was stressful (it’s already a busy time of the year) I am glad that we are done!
We took our yearly family photos, and it was a fun experience! We lucked out with the weather (it was cold, but sunny) and the girls cooperated fairly well.

We also managed to squeeze in another tradition (that became tradition without us knowing) with a visit to the local Assisted Living center for their yearly Trick-or-Treating event.  It was fun to get additional use of our costumes, and the girls had fun collecting candy from the residents.
Eleanor hit her 2nd month in Preschool and has really thrived in the new environment (she calls it “Pretty-school”).  Drop-off used to be tough on her (tears every morning) but now she typically is happy to settle in.  It’s fun to hear her sing new songs every day (she LOVES singing). I am loving the new routine and being able to keep consistency for all of us. She had her very first school picture day, and I’m so excited to see the finished product!
We headed back to the Farmstead for a family event coordinated by Darnell’s Auntie.  We walked through the entire corn maze (for the first time in years) and both girls did excellent! Daisy was happy to run ahead with her older cousins, and Eleanor kept up and (for the most part) walked by herself - score!
