Semester Tua

Eid-Al-Fitr:
History
Rooted deeply in Islamic tradition, Eid Al Fitr encapsulates the essence of five fundamental pillars: Namaz-praying, the Hajj pilgrimage, faith, fasting, and Zakat. The inception of Eid Al Fitr dates back to 624 AD when Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) first ordained its observance. Marking the Prophet's triumph in the Battle of Badr, Eid Al Fitr became a symbol of jubilation, with communities expressing their elation through the distribution of sweets. Since then, Meethi Eid Al Fitr has become an annual commemoration preceding Eid-al-Adha (Bakrid), symbolizing the culmination of Ramadan and gratitude towards Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala)for the Holy Qur’an.
Morning Prayers (Namaz): Attend the special congregational prayers held in the morning, known as Salat al-Eid. These prayers are an integral part of Eid Al Fitr celebrations and serve as an expression of gratitude to Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) for the blessings received during Ramadan.
Exchange Greetings: After completing prayers, exchange warm embraces and heartfelt Eid Mubarak wishes with family, friends, and fellow worshippers. This gesture fosters a sense of unity and strengthens social bonds within the community.
Culinary Delights: Indulge in a sumptuous feast with family and friends. Traditional Eid Al Fitr dishes vary across regions but often include savory and sweet delicacies. Special treats like sheer khurma (vermicelli pudding), biryani, kebabs, and sweets like baklava and gulab jamun are commonly enjoyed during Eid-al-Fitr.
