King Djoser
Netjerikhet Djoser was the 2nd King of Egypt's 3rd Dynasty, who ruled for more than 19 years. He was probably the most famous one during this period and his name means "The Divine of body". After reaching the throne of Egypt, he began commissioning his building projects and what really helped him was that he ruled during an age witnessing advances in civilization on the Nile such as the construction of architectural monuments, agricultural developments, trade, and the rise of the cities. Among his most notable achievements, there is Saqqara Step Pyramid which was intended to be a simple mastaba tomb, but it grew under the guidance and design of Imhotep to become the tallest structure of its time and a tourist attraction which drew people from all parts of the land.Know all about King Djoser through our article and see how the Famine Stele from the Ptolemaic Dynasty tells the story of how the king saved his country.

Saqqara Step Pyramid
Djoser's step pyramid is considered the first flame for the construction of the three magnificent pyramids in Giza. This pyramid was mainly built as a burial tomb for Djoser in the 27th century BC. and surprisingly it was, in the beginning, a mastaba but the skillful architect Imhotep "Djoser's Vizier" tried to make it unique and different from other mastabas so he built 5 other steps at the top of one another which resulted in the first & the singular Saqqara Step Pyramid. There is much more information about this spectacular pyramid so know everything from our link and don't forget to share our post.
