I’ve been seeing pictures of EEnE characters as humanized animals. And I thought… what kind of critters would I turn them into? So here’s what I have:

Ed: Chicken. The reason for this should be obvious. Ed is a chicken lover. And I’m sure if he had to chose, he’d wanna be a chicken too. Double D: Ferret. Not only do I think it would fit with his color scheme, but ferrets are surprising clever creatures, like Double D.

Eddy: Pig. Eddy’s skin is literally pink. And aren’t pigs often associated with money? He even shape-shifted into a piggy bank that one time!

Sarah: Baby Chick. Since Ed and Sarah are siblings, it’s only right for Sarah to be a younger lil chicken. I can imagine her temper tantrums being referred to as “chicken fits”.

Jimmy: Bunny. Mr Yum Yum is already a bunny, so it’s fitting. And I saw @shriggisick draw Jimmy as one and thought it was adorable.

Jonny: Chameleon. I knew Jonny had to be a weird creature, and whenever he plays “Captain Melonhead” his whole body can camouflage into the outside of a watermelon!

Nazz: Butterfly. Not only are butterflies beautiful like her, but Nazz used to be chubby. Butterflies used to be caterpillars. Caterpillars are chubby. I rest my case.

Rolf: Goat. Pretty everyone who does this draws Rolf as a goat. And yeah, I agree. It fits. Rolf is just as tough as a goat too.

Kevin: Dog. Specifically a pit bull. I was thinking real hard about this one for a bit, then thought of a dog. I knew I had to think of a breed that liked to be mean. And I found pit bulls are very aggressive after doing research.

Lee: Cat. People think that cats are cruel, soulless creatures. Which I don’t think is true. But in THIS case? Oh yeah. Cat Lee is a menace.

Marie: Bat. A blue colored bat seems really cool in retrospect. And I knew it had to be an “edgier“ animal. By the way, I. Love. Bats. And Marie is probably my favorite Kanker, so I couldn’t resist.

May: Rat. Not a sneaky rat at all, but a very ditzy one. And her nasally voice would go well with a snout.

Did ya notice that each Kankers’ animal rhymes? I thought about making them all the same animal since they’re sisters, but then I remembered… they’re HALF sisters. So them being different species doesn’t seem like a stretch.

And finally, Eddy’s bro: Hog. A hog is pretty much just a tougher pig. Enough said.

OK.

Its about time I explain this AU so my art about it isn't just "o woa grace but animals because the artist is incapable of drawing humans" even though thats technically it.

I'll talk about the characters first, then I'll get to the actual PLOT part, but I won't spoil tooooo much.

CHARACTERS:

There are a total of 6/8 characters currently in the AU, those being;

Akkine, a dog. Yes sooo basic I know.(The one at the top of the image. Pronounced Ak-een)

Navvi, a ram. (The one at the very bottom of the image)

Alterguard, a carcal. (The one in the middle of the image)

these three are the main-main characters, though the following are just as important

Exon a black cat. Yes, also basic I know ;-;

Miles. Named and designed after my irl dog, a rat terrier

and Dariah (or Domino) named and designed after my friends dog, Domino.

There are two more characters to be added, but I'll explain that at the end of this.

I'll go over their personalities, and how they died (because y-know, the place where Grace takes place is like- a purgatory? I think- uhhhhhhhh)

Akkine- If it wasn't obvious enough, he hates everyone and everything. Why? Well, he doesn't like to talk about it but we think it has to do with his life when he was living. How did he die? Well.... he won't tell anybody. Only Genesis knows.

Navvi- Just the sweetest girl, shy, cares dearly for her friends, even Akkine, who despises her for being 'too nice' to literally everyone. And I mean every. Single. One. She died to the hands of the people who thought she was 'A bad omen'. For... some reason, she soon ended up being driven mad because of it. Killed a couple of people anddddd boom. They got her.

Alterguard- Always trying to find the easiest way out of things, pretty lazy but will try his best to 'TRY' to do something. He died during a wat between two kingdoms, he was a guard, yet he was found by a guard from his kingdom slacking off. The two argued, and the guard picked up, thew him off of the balcony, and right into the crossfire of the war....

Exon- Tired over everyone's antics, always serious, always keeping Akkine in check, and from getting himself killed over and over, though most of the time she fails. She died by... well.... that would spoil a little bit too much ;)

Miles- Absolutely crazy, does not fear death. Overprotective of the group and won't go down without a fight. Not scared of anything. He died when on a camping trip with his family. Then a bear attacked out of nowhere. His wrath got him killed quickly. (BTW MY IRL DOG IS OKAY LOLLL)

Dariah/Domino- Kind of like Navvi, but less shy and is like the mother of the group. She mostly obeys what the warning notes say and is overall a good girl. She actually was on the camping trip with Miles, though she was a friend, not related. She was able to escape, but her wounds were fatal.

NOW TIME FOR THE PLOTTTTT

Basically, when the main three died, they were actually the first to be in this, Purgatory. So Genesis gave them the choice to redeem themselves for their past sins, and they can get to freedom. They didn't know about the monsters and stuff so they obviously said yes. The other characters just- show up or are found already in the labyrinth. The entities have their own little story too, but I'll save that for later!

For the last two characters, unless I decide to make one up my self, I would like some ideas from you all! So, it doesn't have to be lengthy (unless you want it to, thats totally fine!) just a personality or animal idea and it would help out a lot and show some support!

The name of the story they are in is "I AM NO EVIL" so yes, I do plan to write this, or at least start on it, rather soon tonight or tomorrow!! Where? on Wattpad! (Yes Wattpad, because I refuse to step foot on Ao3)

The AU itself doesn't have a name yet so uhm.... aNy iDeAs?

7. Is there a piece of clothing you think [character] is particularly fond of/that you imagine them wearing a lot or like to draw them in? Hehehe I LOVE these kind of questions! I think about this stuff way too much...For the sake of the question I won't be including their default show clothes because I think those are a given. Ed - I just know dude is wearing that green jacket for as long as humanly possible. It is going to stink so bad and be littered with stains and holes, but he won't be considering any other option until it's an indescribable rag. Otherwise I think he'd stick to comfortable clothing. He probably wears band/pop-culture T-shirts exclusively. I can see him wearing flannel as well. Edd - He dresses like an absolutely embarrassing dork. I think most of the time he just doesn't feel it necessary to put much thought into style and will just buy the same button-up and slacks if left to his own devices. I have expressed before that I like the idea of him wearing sweaters: Turtlenecks, argyle vests...they are so grandpacore and so him <3. @owmylasagna-blog has mentioned stuff about him wearing "outdoorsy" type clothes which I totally see as well. The type of guy you can depend on to have a zippo lighter on him, but don't expect his soft hands to actually be able to light it. Eddy - What can he NOT wear is more the question. Ok, but he is already so malleable in canon with the outfits he comes up with, and the confidence he excudes, I can see him getting away with a lot. I'd say the things I most enjoy having him wear (in my mind or in fanart) are very garish Hawaiian/printed-fabric dress shirts (think Guy Fieri or Ricky from the Trailer Park Boys), or vintage-aligned stuff like leather jackets with a white undershirt, leisure suits. I think he'd be good for anything that gives him as much (hopefully favorable) attention as possible.

12. What's the funniest or craziest AU idea you've ever come up with? I don't know if these are the "craziest" au ideas but, specific to EEnE, maybe the catsona AU I have? lol I hadn't thought about it being an AU before, but I think it fits that definition, even if it is just excuses to draw them as kitties without much actual lore. I've thought about exploring a furry AUs for them (because of course I have) but I haven't gone far in it because I am so conflicted about what animal to make Ed specifically. Also so many people have made cool posts of their furry interpretations for them already. I also have played around with a birdsona au (where all the characters are different types of birds) exclusively because I love birds.

19. What's your favorite thing about [fandom]? I love how friendly and supportive everyone here is to one anothers' ideas for the show, the characters, and beyond! There is so much creativity going around between fanfiction, fanart, podcasts : ) even when I am not as active in a daily sense, I still get so much joy seeing stuff pop up in the tag, and checking in on mutuals blogs. It is rather cozy and small here, but I like that. I've had stints in larger fandoms and things can quickly become overwhelming and crazy. Not that small fandoms are excluded from having issues, but it is a very different vibe that I am finding I tend to prefer within communities <3 love all the friends I've gotten to know through this little space : )

One of these days I really wanna sit down and hash out the specifics of so many more divination methods the cats could use. I already have written about shai-een-shek (my adaptation of poe divination for the haneossia AU) but I also really wanna delve into adapting:

Haruspicy: Divination using the entrails of dead animals. My personal StarClan lore rework particularly emphasizes the idea of a post-mortem transformation into avian form and of physical birds as messengers from StarClan so I'm particularly thinking of bird entrails. Think of it a little like ripping open an envelope from the mail.

Astrology: The very obvious form of divination these cats lack. I'd even argue that in canon they have a form of horary astrology (predicting the future by asking a question and looking up at the sky, such as Spottedleaf did in the Into the Wild prologue). Natal astrology would also be an interesting addition.

Geomancy: Nicknamed "astrology's little sister" for the way European occultists developed this Arab method of divination, I think more than any others it strikes a balance between complicated enough to need specialized study by a meddie but simple enough I can imagine an animal practicing it. Of these three this is the only one I've practiced myself and I find the results it produces particularly interesting.

Lo que hablaba recién con @mar-saturn 🙈🙈💗💗 (gracias linda por leerme, a todos los q se toman ese tiempito gracias). Este es uno de mis au (graciosamente lo llamo el au del au xD. Es uns mezcla entre spyxfamily (un anime) y eene.

Esta situado en un contexto de guerra (aprox siglo XX). Bandos enfrentados de distintos países declarandose la guerra. Los hijos (segundo y único de dos grandes familias de la mafia) se enamoran y casan, generando el enojo del hijo mayor que quería mantener el legado tras la muerte de sus padres (cuando el segundo hijo tenia unos 5/6 años).

El hijo mayor se entera (luego de varios análisis y búsqueda tal como pasa en mi au principal de addwin), el hijo/a único esta esperando un bebé.

Y como motivo de venganza decide secuestrarlo, esperando el día de nacimiento. El día llega y se genera un ataque al hospital, con todos los que iban de visita sufriendolo, teniendo como resultado que todos sufran pérdida de memoria o en consiguiente generando la insersion de memorias falsas (ah si la gente de la mafia cuenta con la gente de la ciencia, tipico). En el caso de edd y eddy el golpe fue tan fuerte (casi muertos, de hecho es lo que en la memoria borrosa de una bebé addwin queda) que no se necesito inserción. Se logra el cometido de secuestrar a la niña y que los padres hayan perdido la memoria y queden separados. Sumado a esto la niña comienza a demostrar ciertos dones, en los que destruye objetos con la mente y se vuelve un experimento, sufriendo el encierro y no teniendo amor.

Aquí es donde aparece la única salvacion: ed. Siendo el único que recupera la memoria y se promete encontrar a todos, en especial a edd, eddy y addwin.

Spoiler: ed lleva una muñeca que es con la que se comunica con addy y ayuda a escapar, metiendola en un orfanato para al menos estar a salvo.

Ah, eddy vuelve a trabajar con su hermano por lo que varias de las infiltraciones o espionaje son mandadas por el (el tener a eddy por todos lados en misiones, impide que descubre que experimentan con gente: addwin). Una de las misiones que le dan a eddy cuando Bro decide tomarse "vacaciones" es que tiene que ser el siguiente líder de la mafia y conseguir una familia de mentiras. Ahí se topa con el orfanato donde está addwin. Como bro esta de vacaciones y dejo a sus ayudantes nuevos con eddy a addwin no la reconocen, además que pasaron meses desde su huida y ed ayuda de alguna forma a cambiar su imagen.

En el caso de Dee es el parte de una familia de científicos del lado contrario de la guerra y que mata por medio de venenos insertados, de ahí el uso de la jeringa. Trabaja como doctora en un hospital y se viste más masculino siendo que en su subconsciente tiene la memoria que el cuerpo de mujer no es suyo por así decirse, como que sabe que nació hombre.

Más o menos ese es el lore.

Weekly Update: 5/8/23 - 5/13/23

Creative Work:

I'll admit it: I just had to drop everything and make fan art of C2ndy2c1d's "Assassin AU" for the Ed Edd n' Eddy series... I'm sorry, when I saw the mother and the Kizuki of the spider family, in Demon Slayer, the puppeteering and cutting threads just reminded me of the alternate Sarah and Jimmy. So, I had to draw fan art of them replicating said slicing and puppeteering. I'm doing the "bases" traditionally, via pencil-sketching, and utilizing my lightboard and glue to overlay cut-out "pieces" for an easier outline completion overall. Trust me, better to draw over illuminated notecards than to sketch overlapping features on other parts...

To be honest, part of me is screaming at myself over not using the "faster" tablet of mine to make the bases instead; but then I scream back at that part how I hate doing sketching digitally, and I only ever wanna digitally draw when it comes to outlines and coloring. I know, I know, doing the sketches digitally allows for easier manipulation and all, but it just feels easier to whip up a pencil "base" and do the fancy-pants digital stuff after scanning it. Perhaps it's the fact that with DIGITAL sketching, I also had to basically draw everything TWICE: not just the basic shapes, but the hair/eyes/etc. as PART of the base, then tracing over it all for the final outline? I dunno, with simple, blank "bases" on traditional paper, I can easily just draw the fancy-pants digital lines only ONCE while outlining everything...

As for Getting Your Goat, the first chapter image is almost completed, too: it simply needs to be colored in and have the appropriate lettering added. That'll be my next priority, once I get that fan art image out of my head and onto paper/file.

I'm also still enjoying some "writing practices" on the side, particularly another EEnE themed one. Honestly, it may technically count as a "series" at this rate, given the consistent factors... The main characters of interest always seem to be Sarah, Jimmy and Claire (You, whenever the 2nd person POV isn't changed); each "entry" has some focus on characters learning an overall theme of being better to others/yourself; and some other things. But still, it's something meant to improve writing abilities for actual "mainline" stuff from me. Still, I'd recommend seeing if you simply enjoy it as a fan fiction fan, if not to critique it.

Personal Life:

So far, I think I'm seeing results from exercising during the weekdays, instead of saving it all for a back-to-back session on the weekend. Of course, that could also be the factory work helping shape those calories into muscles. Nothing like an after-work workout, with some fun cartoons to serve as your "timer" with their overall runtime. Don't forget the 2 minute "rests," though!

I've also heard word the factory plans to switch to a "9-4" schedule: 4 days of 9 hours, with the addition of only 4 hours on Friday. I'm hoping to use that to my advantage, somehow, when it comes to creative work and all. I can already plan ONE idea of how: no more overtime on the weekends~, so plenty of time to do stuff then.

Misc.:

I'm thinking of just getting rid of my traditional monitor and keeping my tablet as the unofficial "gaming/creating laptop," made courteous of my wireless keyboard. Seriously, you find some good stuff at thrift stores-- referring to the keyboard, though, no way you'd find something like the drawing tablet I have now there...

Also, it's amazing how, even as an adult, you'll still feel fear toward certain characters in animation... I don't think I'll fully get over my anxiety of Brak, the space cat pirate, and even Sarah and Jimmy can still be a bit intimidating. ... What? Sarah is undoubtedly stronger, no matter how ripped I'd get, and Jimmy can be a cunning fiend. I'm not ashamed to admit, I felt a bit anxious and terrified the night I went to the wiki for the unnofficial EEnE "sequel," titled "Peach Creek," and read he'd be a rather conniving individual. I dunno what it is, but I've a strong fear toward helplessness, and they can be a duo of outclassing brain and brawn. Those "Assassin AU" versions of themselves up the antae, now that Jimmy's supposed to be as physically capable, and the duo's main gimmicks are puppet strings and equally physically manipulative acupuncture. I know, I just deserved to have an inquisitive eyebrow raised at me, at times...

Why are anons in the lucky charms so damn idiotic? I don’t understand how they say that Percy is following Annabeth because he loves her but Annabeth is being toxic??? Uhmm what? So it’s okay for Percy to be rude and closed off because he’s battling his own trauma but it’s NOT okay for Annabeth to battle her own demons and be rude?? Cuz I don’t see them talkin bout it. idk like u can respect someone and love them and be grateful for them while also fighting and disagreeing it's like. normal. life is hard, coping is hard, grief and trauma are hard! what matters is that they both obviously really love each other and are 100% in it for the long haul so their resolution will come (i promise!) but right now they have another problem on their hands!!

Well, i think...i remember i did a post days (weeks) ago where i said i drew new ocs based on a eene mix nana idea, sooo well they are here: my new babies: kaths!!!!. You can imagine they are as eene versión with nana (it is an anime, is a great anime, watch it!! The drama, comedy and ahhh in my headcanon they end up together!!!).

Well, the idea is: what if dee(fem version of mine: kath) never move on to peach creek?? Soo well katth (fem edd) never met kath(fem ed) snd kathy (fem eddy) so she was always in her academic studies and has not friends and always did what her parents wanted. She graduates and approves her university exam and has to move on to othe City (that is a peach creek style city) and when she is looking for an appartment, she meets kathy who want the same appartment and she argues for that until that appears kath and say if they can share the house, bills can be more cheap and all of them are agree and they begin to live together.

Obviously appear all character of the eds but based on nana story. And this story will have hints eddeddy fem version obviously
