I’ve been seeing pictures of EEnE characters as humanized animals. And I thought… what kind of critters would I turn them into? So here’s what I have:

Ed: Chicken. The reason for this should be obvious. Ed is a chicken lover. And I’m sure if he had to chose, he��d wanna be a chicken too. Double D: Ferret. Not only do I think it would fit with his color scheme, but ferrets are surprising clever creatures, like Double D.

Eddy: Pig. Eddy’s skin is literally pink. And aren’t pigs often associated with money? He even shape-shifted into a piggy bank that one time!

Sarah: Baby Chick. Since Ed and Sarah are siblings, it’s only right for Sarah to be a younger lil chicken. I can imagine her temper tantrums being referred to as “chicken fits”.

Jimmy: Bunny. Mr Yum Yum is already a bunny, so it’s fitting. And I saw @shriggisick draw Jimmy as one and thought it was adorable.

Jonny: Chameleon. I knew Jonny had to be a weird creature, and whenever he plays “Captain Melonhead” his whole body can camouflage into the outside of a watermelon!

Nazz: Butterfly. Not only are butterflies beautiful like her, but Nazz used to be chubby. Butterflies used to be caterpillars. Caterpillars are chubby. I rest my case.

Rolf: Goat. Pretty everyone who does this draws Rolf as a goat. And yeah, I agree. It fits. Rolf is just as tough as a goat too.

Kevin: Dog. Specifically a pit bull. I was thinking real hard about this one for a bit, then thought of a dog. I knew I had to think of a breed that liked to be mean. And I found pit bulls are very aggressive after doing research.

Lee: Cat. People think that cats are cruel, soulless creatures. Which I don’t think is true. But in THIS case? Oh yeah. Cat Lee is a menace.

Marie: Bat. A blue colored bat seems really cool in retrospect. And I knew it had to be an “edgier“ animal. By the way, I. Love. Bats. And Marie is probably my favorite Kanker, so I couldn’t resist.

May: Rat. Not a sneaky rat at all, but a very ditzy one. And her nasally voice would go well with a snout.

Did ya notice that each Kankers’ animal rhymes? I thought about making them all the same animal since they’re sisters, but then I remembered… they’re HALF sisters. So them being different species doesn’t seem like a stretch.

And finally, Eddy’s bro: Hog. A hog is pretty much just a tougher pig. Enough said.

-Invader Zim, i had a askblog of my ocs from a different timeline (diana got a nice redesign, green is so much better), i came back to it when the movie came out. I... dont want to interact with a lot of the fandom anymore with that. But i love my oc's and frankly my iterations of things are much better for me. Also made a nice personal AU that no one sees except if u squint on ym artfight. (and also jthm/ifs but more enjoying the comic) Pokemon SUn and Moon honestly i love that game so much. i lvoe to see el's comics on it <333

Fusionfall is forever and partly why im everywhere with cartoon netowrk cartoons to degree (it was Ed edd n eddy that got me into the game from an artist) i met some good friends and mutuals with fusionfall rp and art this way!! -EENE, may kanker is my baby girl i love her and yes i will defend this 11yr olds problematic behavior. -KND IS A BIG ONE YOU KNOW ITS BEEN YEARS OF MY LIFE not somehting id throw away, i enjoy a lot of my older art and memories i have of the fandom and people who ive met. Steve and Moonbase trio and 10- theres a lot i didnt get to cover actually and the topic of decom is very heavily in things because Memory. -PPG, this one is subtle but again i dont interact with the fandom only close friends. I ahve a very specific headcanons on the powerpunk girls i love them very much and i dont like a majority of what i saw and sometimes see. so theyre my babies now. not to mention my one oc who ive had since 9th grade. (This includes the anime PPGZ!) Anyway theres also current like undertale and DCA/TSAMS stuff! so there ya go a sort of timeline. And now i dont wanna talk about the Lost Interest things too much, but stranger things is on that, southpark which i never want to return to, onceler (yes i was there, it wasnt as bad as people claimed. lots of askblog stuff, swagler... for years they were a mystery)

7. Is there a piece of clothing you think [character] is particularly fond of/that you imagine them wearing a lot or like to draw them in? Hehehe I LOVE these kind of questions! I think about this stuff way too much...For the sake of the question I won't be including their default show clothes because I think those are a given. Ed - I just know dude is wearing that green jacket for as long as humanly possible. It is going to stink so bad and be littered with stains and holes, but he won't be considering any other option until it's an indescribable rag. Otherwise I think he'd stick to comfortable clothing. He probably wears band/pop-culture T-shirts exclusively. I can see him wearing flannel as well. Edd - He dresses like an absolutely embarrassing dork. I think most of the time he just doesn't feel it necessary to put much thought into style and will just buy the same button-up and slacks if left to his own devices. I have expressed before that I like the idea of him wearing sweaters: Turtlenecks, argyle vests...they are so grandpacore and so him <3. @owmylasagna-blog has mentioned stuff about him wearing "outdoorsy" type clothes which I totally see as well. The type of guy you can depend on to have a zippo lighter on him, but don't expect his soft hands to actually be able to light it. Eddy - What can he NOT wear is more the question. Ok, but he is already so malleable in canon with the outfits he comes up with, and the confidence he excudes, I can see him getting away with a lot. I'd say the things I most enjoy having him wear (in my mind or in fanart) are very garish Hawaiian/printed-fabric dress shirts (think Guy Fieri or Ricky from the Trailer Park Boys), or vintage-aligned stuff like leather jackets with a white undershirt, leisure suits. I think he'd be good for anything that gives him as much (hopefully favorable) attention as possible.

12. What's the funniest or craziest AU idea you've ever come up with? I don't know if these are the "craziest" au ideas but, specific to EEnE, maybe the catsona AU I have? lol I hadn't thought about it being an AU before, but I think it fits that definition, even if it is just excuses to draw them as kitties without much actual lore. I've thought about exploring a furry AUs for them (because of course I have) but I haven't gone far in it because I am so conflicted about what animal to make Ed specifically. Also so many people have made cool posts of their furry interpretations for them already. I also have played around with a birdsona au (where all the characters are different types of birds) exclusively because I love birds.

19. What's your favorite thing about [fandom]? I love how friendly and supportive everyone here is to one anothers' ideas for the show, the characters, and beyond! There is so much creativity going around between fanfiction, fanart, podcasts : ) even when I am not as active in a daily sense, I still get so much joy seeing stuff pop up in the tag, and checking in on mutuals blogs. It is rather cozy and small here, but I like that. I've had stints in larger fandoms and things can quickly become overwhelming and crazy. Not that small fandoms are excluded from having issues, but it is a very different vibe that I am finding I tend to prefer within communities <3 love all the friends I've gotten to know through this little space : )

One of these days I really wanna sit down and hash out the specifics of so many more divination methods the cats could use. I already have written about shai-een-shek (my adaptation of poe divination for the haneossia AU) but I also really wanna delve into adapting:

Haruspicy: Divination using the entrails of dead animals. My personal StarClan lore rework particularly emphasizes the idea of a post-mortem transformation into avian form and of physical birds as messengers from StarClan so I'm particularly thinking of bird entrails. Think of it a little like ripping open an envelope from the mail.

Astrology: The very obvious form of divination these cats lack. I'd even argue that in canon they have a form of horary astrology (predicting the future by asking a question and looking up at the sky, such as Spottedleaf did in the Into the Wild prologue). Natal astrology would also be an interesting addition.

Geomancy: Nicknamed "astrology's little sister" for the way European occultists developed this Arab method of divination, I think more than any others it strikes a balance between complicated enough to need specialized study by a meddie but simple enough I can imagine an animal practicing it. Of these three this is the only one I've practiced myself and I find the results it produces particularly interesting.

In my EEnE as pets au, should the kankers be cats or snakes? Cats is the easy answer, and my first idea, but snakes would be even more weird and different and scary yknow? That contrast would be cool (plus, I could draw them coiling around the eds all creepy and shit)

Maybe I can have them be different animals, I guess out of them Marie would make the coolest/creepiest snake, though it would be difficult to get the hair in there yknow? Plus, snake and rat is the ultimate predator-prey dynamic, fits nicely

But also they're sisters, so it makes the most sense for them to be the same species

I think cats is the canon choice, but I'll draw the snake idea if I feel like it lol

Lo que hablaba recién con @mar-saturn 🙈🙈💗💗 (gracias linda por leerme, a todos los q se toman ese tiempito gracias). Este es uno de mis au (graciosamente lo llamo el au del au xD. Es uns mezcla entre spyxfamily (un anime) y eene.

Esta situado en un contexto de guerra (aprox siglo XX). Bandos enfrentados de distintos países declarandose la guerra. Los hijos (segundo y único de dos grandes familias de la mafia) se enamoran y casan, generando el enojo del hijo mayor que quería mantener el legado tras la muerte de sus padres (cuando el segundo hijo tenia unos 5/6 años).

El hijo mayor se entera (luego de varios análisis y búsqueda tal como pasa en mi au principal de addwin), el hijo/a único esta esperando un bebé.

Y como motivo de venganza decide secuestrarlo, esperando el día de nacimiento. El día llega y se genera un ataque al hospital, con todos los que iban de visita sufriendolo, teniendo como resultado que todos sufran pérdida de memoria o en consiguiente generando la insersion de memorias falsas (ah si la gente de la mafia cuenta con la gente de la ciencia, tipico). En el caso de edd y eddy el golpe fue tan fuerte (casi muertos, de hecho es lo que en la memoria borrosa de una bebé addwin queda) que no se necesito inserción. Se logra el cometido de secuestrar a la niña y que los padres hayan perdido la memoria y queden separados. Sumado a esto la niña comienza a demostrar ciertos dones, en los que destruye objetos con la mente y se vuelve un experimento, sufriendo el encierro y no teniendo amor.

Aquí es donde aparece la única salvacion: ed. Siendo el único que recupera la memoria y se promete encontrar a todos, en especial a edd, eddy y addwin.

Spoiler: ed lleva una muñeca que es con la que se comunica con addy y ayuda a escapar, metiendola en un orfanato para al menos estar a salvo.

Ah, eddy vuelve a trabajar con su hermano por lo que varias de las infiltraciones o espionaje son mandadas por el (el tener a eddy por todos lados en misiones, impide que descubre que experimentan con gente: addwin). Una de las misiones que le dan a eddy cuando Bro decide tomarse "vacaciones" es que tiene que ser el siguiente líder de la mafia y conseguir una familia de mentiras. Ahí se topa con el orfanato donde está addwin. Como bro esta de vacaciones y dejo a sus ayudantes nuevos con eddy a addwin no la reconocen, además que pasaron meses desde su huida y ed ayuda de alguna forma a cambiar su imagen.

En el caso de Dee es el parte de una familia de científicos del lado contrario de la guerra y que mata por medio de venenos insertados, de ahí el uso de la jeringa. Trabaja como doctora en un hospital y se viste más masculino siendo que en su subconsciente tiene la memoria que el cuerpo de mujer no es suyo por así decirse, como que sabe que nació hombre.

Más o menos ese es el lore.

First, disclaimers: we all know Ed Edd n' Eddy doesn't belong to me, and the "Assassin AU" of the series is by "C2ndy2c1d". Secondly, it's recommended you zoom into the image for better quality, however possible. For more about this piece and my thoughts, click the "read more" below.

If you're wondering how some animal hybrid, like Claire, exists in this world, I came up with an idea that could make sense. I'd imagine any organization running a business involving assassins would want to craft something that'd make their jobs easier: hybrids that combine humanistic and animalistic abilities, "werebeasts". At the very least, it certainly helped me come up with one idea for a more original series based on assassins.

Just think about how handy it may be, if you could have a servant/partner that was un-dyingly loyal to the point of dying in your place? Plus, the human body would make for an easier time of protecting you and assisting you in tasks, while the animal senses/parts are pretty easy to guess the usefulness of.

Back to the comic itself, I had some issues here and there, like the upper perspective toward the forest ceiling at times. Also, I'll be honest: this AU version of Sarah and Jimmy freaks me out, so that was a mental obstacle to overcome, via getting myself into the Zen of looking at and drawing them. What? They wear masks, they call themselves a creepy-sounding duo name of "Dollies," their main method of weapon is acupuncture and thus means they prefer controlling your body-- don't even get me started on some fan art portraying them as puppeteers, by as simple as their hidden strings being drawn from their fingertips... If that wasn't enough, I've seen how cunning and manipulative these two could be in the actual EEnE series: "If it Smells like an Ed" and "Run Ed Run," and I'd imagine they'd be 10x more clever and conniving, possibly having honed those skills as assassins.

Even creepier, I just know those two would realistically have a field day with Claire, since her small size and animal features would probably make her look like a living doll/teddy hybrid in the duo's eyes. I doubt they'd actually hurt the poor, terrified thing, but I still do not envy her being a likely target of their fun: the teasing, the ability to push her around, the ability to manipulate her smaller body-- even without the puppet strings and acupuncture... Geez, it's like Claire has her own Kanker Sisters, except there's no "lovey dovey" stuff involved-- but I can't decide which is worse!

I also had a bit of trouble with the drawn motions, and I'm not especially proud of the movement in Claire zipping into Ed's arms up there. But, at the very least, I think we can all agree it looks better to use lines and draw SFX, than to do some sort of "overlapping" effects and what else could hide the expressions/etc.

Celle qui rêve d’un Etat binational revendique «une égalité de droits», sans l’associer «à une logique anti-israélienne». «Il n’y aura pas de solution à deux Etats», écrivait-elle dans une suite de messages sur X le 5 novembre, où l’emploi de l’expression «From the river to the sea» lui a valu de nombreuses critiques. Dont celle d’Emmanuelle Ducros, journaliste à l’Opinion, à laquelle elle a notamment répondu par un emoji de loutre – un animal qui peut vivre dans la mer ou les rivières. Le slogan «est un appel à la liberté, aux droits de l’homme et à la coexistence pacifique, et non à la mort, à la destruction ou à la haine», soutient aussi Rashida Tlaib, élue à la Chambre des représentants des Etats-Unis d’origine palestinienne, sur X. Dans un article rédigé en 2021, l’écrivain américano-palestinien Yousef Munayyer soulignait, lui, qu’il ne s’agit que d’un moyen de s’exprimer en faveur d’un Etat où «les Palestiniens pourraient vivre dans leur patrie en tant que citoyens libres et égaux, ni dominants ni dominés par d’autres». Et dès 2018, l’historienne Maha Nassar, spécialiste du Moyen-Orient, estimait que ce slogan s’inscrit «dans le cadre d’un appel plus large en faveur de l’établissement d’un Etat démocratique laïque dans l’ensemble de la Palestine historique», où coexisteraient Palestiniens et Israéliens avec les mêmes droits.
