What Far Cry 5 should have been

Has anyone else noticed how the citizens of Hope County seem to mainly treat John like a nuisance? Like they are TERRIFIED of Jacob and Joseph and they fear Faith. But John seems like he’s more just an annoying fly at the picnic. Poor John tries so hard to be intimidating and most everyone’s gut reaction is annoyance rather than fear

I think this whole shitshow could have been avoided if all members of the Seed family just started YouTube channels instead of taking over a county. They all would’ve been too busy defending their shit takes online to actually do anything irl.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of one of my favourite games of all time, Far Cry 5. This game is an absolute comfort, and I always find myself returning to it. I know Hope County like the back of my hand, but it always manages to surprise me.

Over the years I’ve created and recreated a number of props and other items from the game, and I see myself continuing to do so for years to come.

Hope County will always be home to me 🤍

Weirdly specific things I think would win you resistance points in farcry 5

Calling any of the brothers a little meow meow (especially John)

Hacking outpost speakers to play baby shark on loop

Talking over any of them or repeating what they say mockingly as they monologue

Befriending a judge

Getting John wet, this could be anything from trying to baptize him to spraying him in the face with a super soaker

Spraying Jacob with Febreze

Flashing any of their security cameras

Graffitiing cult trucks with hot pink spray paint

Making a your mom joke at any of them (especially Joseph)

Getting hot sauce or bbq sauce on Faith’s dress

Making a ligma joke at John

Whatever the results of giving Sharky coke and illegal fireworks would be

Imagine if Far Cry 5 took place in 2024 and Faith, being 24, is now part of Gen Z. She would be sitting around the table with the 3 Seed brothers and Joseph and Jacob have no damn clue what she’s saying meanwhile John’s like “I think I can translate” because he’s only slightly older than Faith

Jacob: one of my soldiers is as stubborn as an ass and refuses to follow orders! If he doesn’t smarten up I swear I’m gonna feed him to the damn judges

Faith: Bet

Jacob: the fuck is that supposed to mean?

John: she’s agreeing with you

Joseph: so, what did you guys think of the sermon I delivered tonight?

Faith: you slayed tonight Father!

Joseph: uhhh

John: *sighs* she means you did well Joseph, not that you killed someone
