These were actually incredibly influential to my current painting process and style--instead of a sketch, this is how my paintings usually start nowadays. I find it much easier to think in shadow and form from the beginning rather than trying to translate those things into lines and then back again as I render. Plus, these were super fun to do! I've been trying to remove the parts of my process that I find tiresome.

I wish I could remember which artist I got the idea from--it was someone on youtube...
