EXO Conquered Malaysia Once Again with a Sold-Out “EXO Planet #5 - EXplOration in Kuala Lumpur 2019″.

KUALA LUMPUR, 14th December 2019 – Starting the Saturday night in Axiata Arena with their explosive hit song, “Tempo”, South Korea’s representative boyband, EXO promises an unforgettable concert experience for their Malaysian fans. The now six-member ensemble (members Xiumin and D.O are currently enlisted for mandatory military services and member Lay is promoting in China) needs no introduction to Malaysia as this is the group’s fourth visit to the country for their worldwide concert tours and this time for their fifth concert tour, “EXO Planet #5 - EXplOration in Kuala Lumpur 2019”.

Although the weather was rather rainy since the afternoon, EXO fans, affectionately known as “Eri” (a shortened form of EXO-L), did not seem to be deterred by it as they cheered the loudest for their beloved stars during “Transformer” and “Gravity”. What’s unique about this concert edition, fans can now use their official lightstick for a mesmerizing light syncing feature alongside the artists’ performances making the concert experience much more fun and meaningful this time around.

Known for his unique vocal colours, member Baekhyun took the stage with his solo R&B track “UN Village” alongside powerful fan chant from the concert audiences creating a beautiful sight to behold. The concert continued with a wonderful performance of “24/7” accompanied by an impressive “floating-like” light performance in the arena. Not to forget, EXO also teased with the sensuous performance of “Love Shot” leaving fans wanting more from the group!

During the talk segment of the concert, EXO expressed their happiness and gratitude in returning to the country for another concert. Recognising the dress code for Malaysia’s stop - cosmic latte, also an ode to their “Universe” EP, member Chen nodded to the fans’ creativity in dressing up for the concert.

“I really like Malaysia!”, member Sehun also exclaimed during the segment making Malaysian fans cheered loudly for the singer.

Now showcasing their individual charms, the charismatic leader of the group, Suho performed a sensational silhouette-like stage of “Been Through”. Meanwhile, member Chen brought a different vibe to the stage with a haunting vocal rendition of “Lights Out.” Sehun and Chanyeol of EXO-SC then amped up the atmosphere again with an energetic and lively stage of “What A Life” and “Closer to You”, both songs taken from the group subunit’s first mini album.

With the group’s ‘dance-line’ turns to shine on the stage, member Kai, known for his exceptional dance skills began with an incredible performance of “Confession”, a yet to be released song. Taking the reign of the stage next, the youngest member of the group, Sehun continues to dazzle fans with a solo performance to “Damage”. Counting to almost seven years since the group’s official debut, EXO returned to their root with a medley of their earlier hit songs such as “Growl”, “Overdose” and “Call Me Baby” much to the delight of their longtime fans.

The boy group then returned to the stage for a playful encore performances of “Unfair” and “On the Snow”. During the encore ment, as fans started chanting to the group’s recent comeback song “Obsession”, EXO can’t help to grant their fans’ wish by performing a short and impromptu version of “Obsession” live without the background music for the first time in this concert tour showing the strong love between the singers and their fans. The passionate night ended with EXO wishing their fans an early Merry Christmas greeting and the last song on the concert set list, “Smile on My Face”, knowing that fans surely will leave with a wide smile after the concert!

With the fifth edition of its concert tour, EXO once again proved their power and determination to conquer the stage even with less number of members. Till’ the next sold-out concert in Malaysia, we hope EXO will continue to be the forefront of hallyu wave around the world!

In 24 hours, over 95% of the tickets are all snatched up, leaving only limited Rock zone tickets available for sale.
