#ok but . not to make this about zukka but#the way that zuko fully supports sokka & always listens to him#EXCEPT when sokka is being a self-destructive perfectionist/control freak#so like . at the end of tbr part i zuko is like ‘‘it's your call sokka’’#and it was!! zuko was putting faith & trust in sokka that katara&aang&toph never did (at least out loud)#because that's simply not something that you can say your older sibling!#HOWever. when sokka was being terrified of failure (one of the things he struggles with most)#zuko was able to give the ‘‘you can't quit because you're afraid you might fail’’ speech#which was exactly what sokka needed!! someone who supports him but also is able to call him out when he's being. like that#& this scene is another small example of that#bc zuko is like ‘‘sokka i know you're neurotic as fuck but . chill.’’#zuko helps sokka with his perfectionism both by being like ‘‘i love u a whole lot exactly as you are’’#AND by being like ‘‘dude cut this shit out you don't have to be perfect. you're perfect to Me but ‘perfection’ is unattainable#& it's unproductive to strive for it’’#hhhhhhhng them . .
