#EXCEPT FOR THE WEIRD PARKING CONTRAPTION BUT I GIVE YOU A PASS FOR THAT

I HAD MANY DREAMS LAST NIGHT BUT HERE IS THE BEST ONE:

I was back home (and I guess back in the past, too?) starting a new semester of college. I’m sitting in front waiting for the class to start and BOOM. In walks Lily Collins. She sits next to me and we chat the whole class (I forget the content but it was GOOD and WITTY and also in class we were doing some sort of group activity so it was okay to talk damn get off my back) and then when we walk out, I'm nervous because I still want to talk with her so I start to ask her some stupid question about class. But as I’m asking that, she asks if I want to get some coffee. (Then, yes, it got a little weird because we went to her car, which was parallel parked, and she pulled out this giant remote-controlled thing from the trunk and used it to pull her car out of the space, and then I picked up the thing to show off that I COULD pick up the thing, but at least when I put it away the dream went back to wow-this-could-be-real.) We spent the rest of the dream just chatting and we drove around and got coffee and it was nice.

Anyway, all that matters is that my dreams finally didn’t cockblock me. I can’t tell you how many times my stupid brain has pulled the rug out from under me while dreaming. My 2016 brain would have had her just walk a different direction after class. 2015 brain wouldn’t have had her sit next to me at ALL. If this was 2014, I’m pretty sure the room would have been filled with some sort of acid and she'd be watching from a safe platform above and laughing and texting Emma Watson about how LAME I am as I scream and die a slow death.

But no. This year, it’s different. 2017 is gonna be a GOOD. It’s gonna be LIT. It’s gonna be WHATEVER KIDS SAY THESE DAYS TO INDICATE SOMETHING WILL BE REALLY NICE.
