EVA Air Excess Baggage Charges and Policy for 2022
Since its founding in 1989 as an affiliate of shipping conglomerate Evergreen Group, EVA Air has expanded to include air cargo, airline catering, ground handling, and aviation engineering services. Its cargo arm, EVA Air Cargo, links with the Evergreen worldwide shipping network on sea and land. Its domestic and regional subsidiary, UNI Air, operates a medium and short-haul network to destinations in Taiwan, Macau and China with its main hub in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. As of January 2018, EVA Air is the 15th safest airline in the world, with no hull losses, accidents, or fatalities since its establishment.
EVA Air operates a mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft, with Airbus A330, Airbus A321, Boeing 777, Boeing 787, and ATR 72 (operated by UNI Air) airliners primarily used on passenger routes, along with Boeing 777 freighter aircraft used on cargo routes. The airline was one of the first carriers to introduce the Premium Economy class (previously called Elite Class by EVA Air), which it debuted in 1991.
Excess Baggage Charges
The checked baggage that exceeds the free baggage allowance will be charged for excess baggage in accordance with applicable regulations.
Weight Concept Excess Baggage Fee Chart
It is divided into FOUR zones (Zone1~4). The excess charge is calculated per kilogram (2.2lbs) on a Zone Basis. If a single piece of baggage is oversized, you also need to pay an additional fee. The baggage fees are collected in the equivalent local currency. Only APPLY when a ticket is shown in KG, exclude any country using piece concept.

Additional Charge for Weight Concept
Under Weight Concept, if the total linear dimensions (sum of length/width/height) of your baggage are over 203cm (80in.), you will be charged an oversized fee USD150。Pets, mobility aids and sporting equipment have other regulations.
Piece Concept Excess Baggage Fee Chart
It is divided into SEVEN zones (Zone1~7). Excess baggage charge is calculated per piece on a Zone Basis. If a single piece of baggage is overweight or oversized, you also need to pay an additional fee. The baggage fees are collected in the equivalent local currency.
Only APPLY when a ticket is shown in PC, to/from the U.S.A., Canada, North, Central and South America.

Additional Charges for Piece Concept
Enjoy special approximately 10% off discount when purchasing on EVA Air website.
Refund without charge. Changeable but same city only. Partial refund not allowed (for example, weight system: purchased 10kg but used 6kg only; piece system: purchased 3 pieces but used 2 pieces only, both cases are not allowed to refund).
Weight concept: May purchase prepaid excess baggage in units of 5kg (in increments of 5kg, 10kg, 15kg up to 100kg in total. Maximum 30kg for each baggage).
Piece concept: May purchase prepaid excess baggage up to 5 pieces of excess baggage (Maximum 23kg for each baggage).
Available after ticket purchased and up till 4 hours before flight scheduled departure time.
Refund applicable after completing the purchase and up till 1 year after the departure date.
