- Canonly we don't get to see a whole lot into their relationships with other characters besides some snippets between them and Ghost and the Pale King, so I'll go for fanon relationship instead

I LOVE and ADORE slow-burn fanon sibling bonding content between them and their sister, Hornet. I love seeing two of the most emotionally repressed and traumatized characters having a found family bond filled with lots of bumps and hiccups along the way that make it more relatable and personal. Hornet and Hollow sibling relationship is just hhhh I'd die for them, your honor

Also honorable mention to my self indulgent x OC ship full of even more emotional constipation and angst because I have no self control and I'm proud about the slow burn hurt/comfort agony that I made to both torture and comfort myself with

12. what i like about the way the fandom portrays them

- I love how the HK fandom as a whole has unanimously decided that Hollow is a BAMF and the strongest character. They held a whole ass god inside them for who knows how long, had next to no kind of a life outside of being treated like an object, and undoubtedly have the worst mental health in the world but they held on and went through with the vessel plan probably knowing full well it'd eventually fail. And then at the end of it all they come back to kick the Radiance's ass personally in DNM/walk out of the temple to freedom dragging literal broken chains behind them in ETV. They are "I won anyway, bitch" personified. I also like how we all agree they get to have slice of life indulgences afterwards and wear pretty dresses because it's the W they deserve

-The only things I can think of are when people infantilize them and gatekeep ships for them

Hollow is definitely our beloved scrunkly who must be loved and appreciated, but they most certainly are not "baby" in the sense that "this character needs to be infantilized and put in bubble wrap because they are helpless and sheltered" which is...augh

They are not only a fully grown adult character, but also an ascended god and a dangerously capable trained knight and we see this explicitly in canon through their PV fight and the stubbornness they possess to hold onto the Radiance for so long. They aren't a child and they are fully deserving of being treated and respected like an adult. And I don't mean that drawing them lounging in a nest of stuffed animals or watching cartoons are examples of this, because adults can and should enjoy whatever makes them happy and if that's hugging a stuffed kitten or picking flowers and braiding wreaths then that by no means makes anyone less of a grown adult worthy of respect and independence. We need to normalize adults enjoying comforts that make them happy and still respecting and treating them like adults

This also doesn't include them having to be cared for with their near fatal post-canon injuries and absolute shit mental health. We stan caretaking. But they are still an ADULT. They don't need to be thought of as completely helpless and shielded from the world as though they've never been and would never be capable of defending themselves and others or being respected for the dangerous eldritch god-knight that they are

-Most of the shipping discourse I've seen kinda falls back into this with the handful of examples I've seen mostly being people throwing hands that they're too "baby" to be "ruined" with shipping and it's like...not only is shipping discourse in general extremely chronically online behavior but its taking a whole ass adult character and going out of your way to tell people their personal headcanons and indulging in shipping a canonly adult character is "ruining" the character because you've bubble wrapped them into this image of infantilized "purity" when this is a wholeass grown ascended god who could and would beat your ass into the ground if you glanced at Hornet disrespectfully in front of them xD

I'm always on the fence about the ETV endings because i can't decide if the rage the God of Gods has is from the Knight or from the void sea... is it the knight that is that angry, that the rush of power of ascension leaves them looking for more to drown in shadow? Some hurt like a flood that cannot be stopped, not even by their own rationality? You playing as the Knight can be kind, but it only seems to trap The Shade Lord in the void-casted dream world. it does nothing to halt their rage. or does it result from all the passive grudges of the sea, is that anger instinct? all the vessels drawn back into the void culminating in the being-that-used-to-be-the-knight lashing out against all of reality?

Right person wrong time all the way. I love me some tasty angst, I love all the variants of what can the "wrong time" entail - is it an outside factor, or is it an inside state of one of the characters? Doesn't really matter to me whether the trope stays a tragedy with a bad ending, or if they meet again after and manage to claw their happy ending out. Hornet's shocked but happy to see Hollow survive - they avoid her and are aggressive/unwilling to communicate in any way. Ghost has killed Radi - Hollow hates them for that, for taking that away from them. Hornet tried to kill Ghost and killed who knows how many other vessels - Ghost absolutely despises her for that. She sees them as a threat in return. It's all hanging on by a thread, everyone has so much things to work through. One huge mess.

The first one I could think of off the top of my head is "GREEN" by Ada Shih. It's in Mandarin but it really encapsulates what I feel about so many asshole creators whose content I used to enjoy, except the "cheating on your romantic partner" part is metaphorical.

Yes, I did look through my playlists to answer this... "Yellow Flicker Beat" by Lorde, except I keep feeling it's overshadowed by "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and maybe someone should make an animatic to that song as well.

Also, "Silver Moonlight" and "Blue Eyes" by Within Temptation. I was introduced to the band by another fandom and IT ABSOLUTELY SLAPS, OKAY?

29: A song that you remember from your childhood

"Life's Too Short", a cut song from Frozen. It was the only song I knew and liked from the movie (that wasn't even in the movie, as it turned out) because I didn't care about what was popular.

Also, "Gangnam Style". I HATED it when I was in Primary 3 when the song came out because all the boys in my class were dancing to it, but I realized as I grew older that I didn't really mind it anymore. Maybe I just grew up, maybe it's because people aren't screaming it everywhere, I don't know.

There's also a whole lot of Cantonese children's songs and nursery rhymes from when I wasn't so chronically online or straight-up didn't know how to use a computer yet. Or the fucking ETV (educational TV) intro songs because I binged those a lot when I was a kid and it's basically in our local collective memory at this point. (The fact that ETVs got phased out after like, early secondary school is a CRIME.) I'll talk more about Cantonese songs from my childhood if anyone asks.

2000 Stockholm - Number 14 - Kate - "Verevend"

You didn't think I'd forget Kate did you? EuroLaul's ever present Estonian folk queen is back and at a new high of 14. She's got a hurdy-gurdy accompaniment this time too! Sporting a new blonde look and a slightly harder edge to her singing this her final appearance a EuroLaul. She tried four times in a row finishing as high as second place, but never made it. Eurovision doesn't know what it missed.

She has made it into my top 26 for all four years and this is the highest ranking I've had for one of her songs. Verevend (Blood Brother) is all about having iron in the soul, and blacksmithing. As the the percussion begins to incorporate the sound of a hammer beating iron on an anvil, Kate sings about blacksmith who can't sleep, works all night, silently at the forge. Despite his labours and stoicism, things in the world only continue to get worse. He cannot hammer away the feelings.

It's a bit of a downer, although I love that one of the backing singers' lines compliments him on the strength of his metacarpal bone.

The song is written by Kate's long-time song-writing partner Aivar Joonas, with the lyrics again being provided by Estonian poet Villu Kangur. The same year as this, she released a best of album Kõik Mis Tehtud (Everything Done). There have been four more albums of music since then in collaboration with others. Fan Ethnography

In a conversation a few days ago, my best friend, Rose, asked me what should have been a very simple question. “What fandom do you plan to focus on for class?” 

I knew Rose’s answer before they told me, our fandom discussions have been a highlight of my life every few days for going on four years, and I knew that mine—as it seems so many of my answers in life tend to be—was much less concise. “It doesn’t feel right to pick one, but I already know my lens,” I tell them in an Instagram voice note, an on-going “whenever you’re around” conversation that after about a year of use must amount to hundreds of hours worth of discussion, nearly all involving our fandoms and fan culture at large.

I have identified as a “fangirl” for as long as I can remember, long enough that I still can’t always bring myself to use the more widely accepted term of “stan”, long enough that although I was officially too young for an account I have vivid memories of 2013-15 tumblr culture, long enough that despite only being twenty-one I have earned the term “fandom elder” entirely on accident. Maybe I was six? When my older sister Abby introduced me to a song called Fearless, only for me to be paying out the nose to see Taylor sing it live fifteen years later on the Eras Tour. I might’ve been eight, when this madman in a bow tie lit up the hospital room where I was getting cancer treatments. I definitely couldn’t have been older than eleven, though, by then I had a tumblr account, a rotating cast of dedicated fandom OC’s, and a t-shirt reading “Booknerd” with the classic Harry Potter-Percy Jackson-Hunger Games “Big Three” logo right beneath. By the time I entered middle school I was a self declared expert on the television shows Doctor Who, Glee, Star Trek, and Criminal Minds, and had read (or rather listened) to the Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and Lord of the Rings series’ over a hundred times through, etv. There’s not much else to do when you’re a chronically ill child, stuck in bed, alone, and desperate to live without having to leave the hospital.

Although it is arguably the least interesting branch I hit while falling down the tree of intersectionality, as the child of lesbian parents, as an ethnically Jewish person, and as a someone who was born—and has spent my entire life—chronically ill and disabled, my identity as a woman has always been the one that has effected my fandom experience the most. (I must acknowledge here that I can only speak to my experience as one cisgender white woman, and that the experiences of those who are women of color, trans, nonbinary, and/or not attracted to men, are invariably going to be not only much different, but in many ways much more difficult than my own.)

For as long as I can remember, I have navigated the world with a hyperawareness of gender-based violence and discrimination, I think it’s impossible not to do so when growing up in an all-girl family, much less one where both my moms had experienced said violence, and where they both used fandom to cope themselves. If there was a time I did not, it was before the age of ten, when I was a victim of CSA at the hands of the medical system and the men who run it; to this day I can’t listen to the particular Lord of the Rings audiobook I had playing when it happened without bursting in to tears. It is imperative, in my view, to understand my hyperawareness of misogyny, to understand my experience with fandom. I came in to fan communities, and spent much of my formative time in them, in the proliferation of the peak NLog (not like other girls) years.

Who run the world? I mean not my family of girls...but it would be cool if we did

Bombarded with memes, texts posts, and a general atmosphere that the only “correct” way to exist as a girl, and especially a young girl (specifically one who was twelve pretending to be fifteen), was to not be like other girls. I must not be “shrill”, overly argumentative, disdainful of the casual sexism that lurks underneath the surface of many fan spaces, I must not bad-mouth venerated male creators (bad mouthing, of course, including questioning why it is so unreasonable to wish for a television writing team with more than a single woman), I must not overtly enjoy things like makeup, but I must still be effortlessly pretty (preferably with blue “orbs” and a red messy bun), I must not like pink (purple is usually fine though), and I must not actually say I am not like other girls, but must look upon their love of Taylor Swift, Gossip Girl, One Direction, and Twilight with disdain all the same.

This avalanche of expectations, reinforced by my online companions in fandom communities, as well as by my “enemies”, those who sent anonymous messages that I should kill myself for committing the great sin of writing a Doctor Who Jack/Nine/Rose “Makeover” one shot, caused an inordinate amount of cognitive dissonance, and was often deeply isolating. In my “real life” girls who shared my interests in clothes, makeup, sewing, and my nearly decade-long membership in Girl Scouts were not interested in talking about X-Men comics, Star Trek Expanded Universe novels, or the latest episode of Doctor Who. In my online world I could get my head bitten off in an instant simply for saying I thought it was unfair “girly girls” were usually portrayed as vapid and dumb in series like Percy Jackson and Harry Potter, and god forbid you have the audacity to like Molly Hooper on Sherlock or worse, Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones.

Over the years my involvement in fandoms have waxed and waned, I’ve been bullied out of three (including anonymous death and rape threats in two and getting doxxed at the tender age of thirteen over one), Doctor Who, Marvel, and Taylor Swift. All for different reasons, but all really coming down to the idea I like “traditionally feminine” things too much, whether that be “pretty” actors like Matt Smith, “feminist” heroes like Captain Marvel, or “girly” albums like Lover. And yet, I keep coming back, I came back after the Game of Thrones finale (and have two over 100k viewed fanfics on AO3 to show for it), I came back for the thirteenth and fourteenth (no, I will not call him fifteen) Doctors, and have even tentatively poked my head back into the Avatar the Last Airbender and Percy Jackson fandoms with their respective renaissances.

It’s easy to ask why I continue to subject myself to the “fandom experience”, and in turn to chalk it up to the chemical processes involved in my ADHD, my desperation for a community I can participate in despite my chronic pain and fatigue, or simply the fact I got involved so young I don’t know how to live without them. I think it’s a lot simpler than that, though, I think it’s because I process the world through writing, and because above else I love to write. Whether it be fan fiction, meta, or original works branching off from the questions the media I love continually invites me to ask, writing is my great passion, and the fandoms and franchises I fall in love with are the ones that spark my motivation to write; whether I’m analyzing Taylor Swift lyrics, breaking down the celebrity culture I’ve watched for over a decade in my original novel, or writing fan-fiction where once in a while I still love a good makeover montage. Fandom introduced me to writing, writing became the way I process the world, and in the circular nature of life, writing is what will always bring me back to fandom.

They get so little screentime in game so the absolute bad bitch energy of "I win and there's nothing you can do about it" in both of these endings made me go feral and I (accidentally) slammed my Xbox controller down during their two seconds of (half) onscreen time in ETV and the poor controller still makes a rattling sound to this day lol. The fact they gave us a canon ending where Hollow lives and actually staggers out. Yes I know DNM is more popular but ETV is the cope I needed mentally for the "you thought you'd seen the last of me! Surprise! I survived through all this shit and will live while the gods responsible roll around in their graves" and will gladly grab and run with it like the feral little rat that I am

-Ghost: shade lord Super Saiyan transformation complete with happy meal snacking Radiance and then Godseeker as desert because she talked so much shit. Something about the entire ETV ending timeline where Ghost looks at the other solutions and says "nah" and goes through so much so they get to smack the Radiance around like a squeaky dog toy is my favorite thing for them. I literally yelled "YES GET HER ASS! YOU TELL HER!" when they go for Radiance and then I just dissolved into ungraceful incoherency when they snatch Godseeker up like the last Pringle chip in the can. Ghost got what Ghost deserved lol

12. what I like about the way the fandom portrays them

Ghost- I like the specific flavor of fandom Ghost where they're this absolute force of (controlled) chaos. A bundle of fully-capable-of-mass-destruction God wrapped neatly in this tiny potato form and they are quiet and observant, giving little ability to read them as they observe the world. An enigma. They give off this older-than-time-and-knowing-beyond-comprehension feel and yet at any moment they want to they're going to whip out the nail and smash some shit to see what it does or buy an overpriced new lantern or charm they don't need because it's sparkly and looks cool. I love the carefully calculated balance between "This is an ancient force capable of swallowing gods and unleashing hell upon the unfortunate and it's face and body language gives nothing away" and "this is a shiny button that says Do Not Press and I'm going to press it anyway because I can and ooooo is that a rotten egg? I need it right now"

13. what I don't like about how the fandom portrays them

Ghost- ehhh probably when people make them TOO overly emotional and openly expressive. So little is elaborated about their backstory that there's nothing that really bothers me too bad, though I like when they have a careful balance of some childlike wonder in the world, mixed with this muted sense of an ageless otherworldly creature with a quiet way of doing things. Ghost is kinda an enigma in that we don't really know WHY they are the way that they are. They seemingly hatched with Hollow and are a clutchmate so they're definitely not a "baby" in that sense, but physically Hollow matured into adult form whereas Ghost apparently didn't. Is it because they needed something external to promote growth into an adult molt that they were deprived of? Are they even Hollow's past hatchmate or just the Shade god of the abyss condensing itself into a form tied to the Hollow Knight's greatest regrets to allow it to move more freely? Either way they clearly have a will and certain desires, but it's muted in such a way that just really seems to fit with their mysterious persona and when people make them too openly clingy and visibly expressive in their motivations it kinda turns me off. "What are they doing and why?" As they do things with little elaboration and explanation fits better for them imo

 O filme se trata do primeiro jogo, a noite onde tudo começou. Tendo como personagens principais, Freddy, Bonny, Chika e Fox, os antagonistas são Willyan Afton, Michael Afton e sua família.

Five Nights At Freddy's (FNAF) - English Starting as a mobile, computer and video game franchise, Five Night At Freddy's hits theaters on October 27th, right around Halloween. 5. What's a fic idea you've had that you'll never write?

Oooooh. I've had so many of these. I'll give you one for HK and one for non-HK fics.

So HK would be an idea of a post-EtV ending, Hornet and Hollow centric, where they'd have to deal with the fallout of Ghost ascending. Ghost would've threatened the entirety of Hallownest in that scenario & of course, there would've been the consequences of Hollow being very recently freed from the Temple.

Non-HK would be an idea that was originally set in the World of Warcraft universe, OC centric. In the main roles would've been several mages from Dalaran, and I tried to explore the fourth type of magic (runic, in addition to fire, frost and arcane).

The thing that all my "will not write this anymore" fics have in common is that they either got too out of hand to be a fic (as is the case for the second one I mentioned) or they got recycled and used as a bit different idea in another fic.

25. Have you ever upset yourself with your writing?
