Not a fic; just rambling about Kyra healing from her trauma!!! Take this as an apology for that one angst post of her backstory LMAOO

Kyra has always been hurting. Even if she didn’t know it, even if she didn’t realize she was hurting there was still a part of her deep inside her heart that knew she was a little broken.

Her story is one of finding her place. Discovering who she truly is instead of the person she was forced to become.

She heals slowly, subtly. No one knew that she was ever in pain, or noticed how lonely she seemed when she first arrived. But even so, she doesn’t need them to notice, because it isn’t for them to know.

Slowly, she becomes brighter. More herself. Instead of the forced smile she had grown to be used to, she smiled genuinely. With her entire face, a grin so wide and so charming. With her heart poured out in every beat of laughter that vibrated from deep within her chest.

Throughout her time in Twisted Wonderland she had realized so many things. About herself, and about the people back in her world.

She had realized, she is human.

She, too, lives and breathes. She had blood running hot in her veins, she has emotions and she has humanity. She is human. And she deserves to be treated as one.

It took a lot to realize that. Of course, she couldn’t have done it alone. There were so many people who helped her without them even realizing it. Friends, teachers— everyone she has ever met, good and bad, has taught her something. Every single one had left an impression on her, and for that she is thankful.

She relishes in every interaction, every exchange, positive or not. It all reminds her she is human, and she finds beauty in it all.

In the end, it is her that lets herself heal. While others have helped her, undeniably so— Ultimately it is her that helps herself.

Kyra saves herself. And that is the best part of it all.

She isn’t a damsel in distress, she is not someone to be saved. She doesn’t need a knight in shining armor rushing in to save the day— because when shes faced with her monsters she’ll tear them apart herself, until her hands are raw and her knees are weak and her body is ready to buckle over from exhaustion.

But it wont matter, because she’ll always get back up. She’ll keep moving forward, keep living on because she knows she can save herself, and she is someone more.

Floyd who is spending the night...... waking up because it's just so hot and he can't sleep, so he decides he'll go into Shrimpy's room. Maybe it'll be cooler in there! But then he sees you sleeping without the blankets, dressed only in a thin shirt and your panties, and you look so soft and cute as you twist and turn in bed. He can't help himself. Even though it's unbearably hot, he just has to smother you in hugs. Cuteness aggression wins.

Leona who isn't even fazed by the heat. This is nothing compared to how hot the Sunset Savanna gets. He'll tease you a little bit, but he's mostly admiring the lovely view you've graced him with. That thin shirt isn't doing much, considering it's so see-through. Definitely a feast for the eyes.

I feel like Idia considers building a high-tech AC unit for you just so you won't have to struggle. But then he'd miss out on glorious sights such as this one. Getting to see the kind of panties you wear and what color they are... the shirts you wear to have just a semblance of cover. Maybe you go entirely nude one night. He sees it all through the cameras and it really does make him think about postponing that AC build. ^^;;;

i am so sorry to just jump into your ask box like this with a personal headcanon of mine, but your post about floyd's opinion on azul's physical abilities got my brain thunking and i have a mouth and i must scream

i need to preface that i'm not a fish biologist (but i do know a thing or two about human biology,,)

my personal headcanon is that, azul's heart rate (40-50bpm), much like an octopus, is slower than other people (to put in perspective, humans have a heart rate of 60-100bpm, and any lower is cause for concern). on top of that, just like (some) octopus, his heart just straight-up???? 😭 stops beating 😭😭 when he does intense physical exercise.

another headcanon is that, azul's blood contains hemocyanin instead of hemoglobin. which doesn't transport oxygen as efficiently.

so like, it would make sense that his stamina/endurance is shite because he can't rlly? sustainably run very fast otherwise it will be bad news very fast 😔

p.s. personally, i feel like, it's not so much that azul's strength went "poof" when he assumed human form, and it's more like... he has bones now. KLSDJFKLSD i would assume that an octopus is very muscular because it's an invertebrate, and it has to move somehow (again, not a fish biologist hahahaha).

but now he has human bone structure (at least new ones in his lower half)! and so the musculature of his cephalopod arms sort of, reformed, to be more human to accommodate his now human bones. also i would hope his grip is strong in his octo form, i doubt the suckers on his other arms are for decoration...

tldr; azul's strength in human form being retained is up to personal interpretation, but i hc that his stamina is pathetic because his blood is trash at transporting oxygen, and also his heart literally threatens to stop if he runs too much or too fast.

but also lmao look at me trying to applying real life biology to a fantasy-genre world like twisted wonderland of all things 😂 i just think it would just be so funny that azul is pathetic at pe (and i say all of this as (unfortunately) an azul enjoyer)

Oohh, I see!! If it was Rook, I don’t think I’d worry too much. The worst he could do is compliment me too much lol. On the other hand, Jade always has the same expression, which makes it hard to tell what he’s thinking. I think it would be harder to determine his motive for stalking me, so that would cause for some unease. Rook just becomes a box full of interesting secrets and information that he’s learned from everyone omg!! He definitely learns a lot about you when he catches you reading nsfw. 😂 all of the preferences.

Jade is the type of yan who will smile at you even when you're crying. orz He downplays the situation so much, to the point where you might catch yourself thinking that it isn't so bad. And Floyd!! On their own, both of them are terrifying, but when they're together it somehow feels even more intimidating. Every time I see them beside Azul I can't help but picture a mafia boss with his two most trusted bodyguards. ^^;;;

I adore everything about the ocean, so the Octavinelle trio has a special place in my heart. (∩˃o˂∩)♡ I feel like everything about Octavinelle, from its aesthetic to its dorm leader, is meant to pull you in. It's enticing with its pretty color scheme and comfortable lounge. But beneath all of that there is an unsettling darkness. Something like the depths of the ocean, where the deeper you go the colder, darker, and crueler it becomes.

Diasomnia is also very cool! I have one card from that dorm and it's a Silver card. I'm curious to learn about the others as well, both through the main story and through the card stories! Lilia's design is very cute! His behavior reminds me of Venti. That carefree type who's hiding more than he lets on... I like his personality a lot, though! He's very fun.

That makes sense! With Riddle, if you can use magic, he'll slap that collar on you for disobeying him and that's it. T_T He probably lectures you and expects you to follow through with whatever punishment he's going to dish out (like writing an apology letter or having to do chores). But if you follow all of his rules and act accordingly, then he becomes easy to please (for the most part). One slip-up and he's back to angry Riddle. :( With Scaramouche, there isn't much leniency and he's much more volatile when it comes to punishments. If anything, Riddle's punishments are probably very vanilla compared to some of the stuff Scara subjects you to. ;;;

Despite how it looks, I think it would be very comfortable and fun to live in, even with the ghosts! 

As silly as Grim can be, especially when he’s causing trouble, he’s a genuine friend. His energetic personality definitely helps lighten the mood of being stuck in an unfamiliar world!

And I’m glad you recovered!! It’s always a relief not feeling sick anymore!
