CLENCED FISTS LAID FIRMLY AT HIS SIDES , WHILE legs spread out and stanced slightly as he would leer up at her. son goku was rarely cautious, and even rarer unfriendly- with an uncharacteristically serious and sharp expression on his usually soft and round features. but seeing her- with the way she carried herself- her oozing malicious energy, the ever so prideful and arrogant berating of him, and that very familiar brown tail wrapped around her waist.... all he got was a vision many years ago the trio that came to his planet and turned his entire universe upside-down. raditz. nappa. vegeta. two of those name having not crossed his mind in a very, very long time.

HOWEVER , AS ALWAYS , THE ANCHOR THAT WAS son goku was forever unwavering. her barbs directed at him completely washed over him, the smaller saiyan not even reacting. he was sizing her up for the most part- and while he was confident he could take her on, all he could really think of was how disappointed he was of the saiyan race in this universe. would he have become just like this had he grown up on planet vegeta like he was meant to ? nothing but a fight-hungry, bloodlusting, ruthless war lover who wanted to be superior over those like it was his right ? he never asked vegeta about saiyans because he wasn't interested in that sort of history, and it made him sick to his stomach that if choices had been different on that day- he would've ended up just like this.

next time he dies, he was going to thank his grandpa again.

TAKING A DEEP BREATH , HE SHOOK HIS HEAD A BIT in disparagement, before answering back at her finally. ❝ really, i should be the one askin' ya if a fight is what yer lookin' for. that'd make me feel a lot better than ya tryna do any bad ta' my planet. ❞ long tail idly swayed behind the man, though definitely not off guard. the tail itself was like a snake, clearly ready to strike when possible. ❝ my name is son goku, and i'm from the planet earth. but if it means anythin' ta' ya, my saiyan name 'ought ta' be kakarot. ❞
