Dark humor galore - YES YES that's her yeS! Major bonus points for her expressing her own twisted sense of humor in the most dorky-asf ways, always!! 🌟

Sexy bully - yeahh imho this is a hard no when it comes to humor styles to use often (if at all) with her, ESP when irt what her own sense of humor is..

That "mess with them" comment is one I'm not a fan of either tbh bc it's confusingg like you say, and also 'cause the most straightforward answers to what it probably means are.. pretty... Dumb? "Ooh, you thought I was this gender but actually I'm THIS gender haha get rekt gets em everytime" just... sucks 😭 so personally I think the best way to read it regardless of whatever it's ~supposed to~ mean is like, "Anyone who'd get super flarfed up over this honestly deserves it and I think that's funny *proceeds to be authentic gnc self* if your stupid head explodes then it explodes lmao go ahead & die about it!"

DEFINITELY her love for riot grrrl includes the fact that it was a punk feminist movement - going off her writing in the show and stuff that's been shared by woy crew behind the scenes, I think it's correct to say that she's a riot grrrl herself (but the fact that she's a feminist is easy to overlook bc being as self-centered as she is def clashes with an ideology that's inherently about caring to look out for others in addition to yourself, aka "she's this but she's not great at it bc of who she is") hence her song's intro, how she hates being "typecast as The Girl", etc.

"Personal boundaries over her body" + "pride that would prevent her from being intensely vulgar & 'degrading' her self in her view" + "No sense of sympathy for others, she just wants to destroy those puny little faces (Cute aggression over 9,000!) And it's bleak! Yeah! ...and, lonely. Woops." I believe ALL hit the nail on the head with her... with probably a piiiinch of "not caring what people think abt her or her body bc ofc she's already perfect, she's HER" mixed in for good measure! 🤏

Sexuality is not something I would have her be unhinged with because I think veering into that realm would have the unfortunate side-effect of creating some uncomfortable implications/vibes about the character. (......Side note: I'm just now realizing that I may have been using "sexy bully" to mean something dissimilar to what you first meant with it [femme fatale / weaponized feminine wiles trope™ vs 'those female anime characters that are uH...um 😨😭'] SO IF THAT'S THE CASE THEN Uh HOPEFULLY ALL OF THAT STILL MADE SENSE I dont think there's anything in what I wrote that I'd retract aside from usin that term wrong... I'd just like to add an extra, "yEAH NO SHE IS NOTTT SUPPOSED TO REALLY BE THAT, NO" for good measure hrbzBDNDMGBFVN)

Back to what I mentioned earlier about the Sexy Bully archetype not really fitting her: as cringe as much of its execution was (*stareshardatTheBattleRoyale*), the only times we ever see that trope being applied to her in-show is when it'd be the most appropriate way for her to give her enemy a false sense of security/accomplishment and/or the best way to totally humiliate them when she up and wrecks them just seconds later. She's often shown to NOT enjoy playing the part, (given her subsequent irritation towards said enemies and their feelings for her that she used against them, how she'll only ever keep up the ruse for a very short amount of time, and how she never weaponizes her feminine wiles against them ever again once she drills it into their head that she feels the total Opposite and wants to destroy them), so it's not the specific ruse itself that she favors using, rather it's that she loves crushing people's hopes so much that she'll opt to personally give somebody hope that they're going to get what they want just so she can shatter it only a moment later, just for the sadistic cruelty of it. Dominator is a character who cares a lot about being authentically and unabashedly herself, and since the Sexy Bully thing is so opposite her authentic self, it doesn't seem right to label her as being that archetype, especially when it isn't a go-to by any means, even though the trope does get used with her in bits. The fact of the matter is that she can always accomplish her victories and the inflicting of terrible harm without ever resorting to these methods... but using them capitalizes on the hope-crushing, it makes her victory-in-progress even more assured... yeah, she doesn't NEED all this, but Dominator is an overkill kind of guy, so even when the situation annoyingly calls for her mode of manipulation to be: Using The Sultry Act To Play Some Fool, she goes for it. And she pulls off that sweet, sweet bullying overkill by honestly putting the least amount of effort necessary into using her feminine wiles to preemptively salt a wound because she's not gonna apply her love of overkill to the very execution of This Thing That She Kind Of Hates Doing (it's just the fruits of the labor that she loves), no, she'll only floor it with the stuff she loves to enact (the power of incredible violence!), because there's nothing more important than what you love doing, right?

I wrote WAY more than I meant to here 😅 the TL;DR is that She's very much the "get under your skin and twist the knife" type, but when it comes to the sexy bully trope specifically, it's not something that she'd go far with, so anything that'd make you go, "hm... that's rather vulgar..." would probably be ooc I think, whereas most anything else wretched of her, she will VERY MUCH go far with, because she'll be like that with stuff that feels true to herself, and only with that kind of stuff!

ALSO I JUST REAL QUICK WANNA SCREAM ABOUT HOW COOL IT IS TO SEE SOMEBODY ELSE WHO INTERPRETED HER "WHAT— EW. NO!" AS IMPLYING HELLA PERSONAL BOUNDARIES AND ALL THAT!! BC I HONESTLY THINK SHE HAS A P DECENT AMOUNT OF THEM. IT'S HARD FOR ME TO PUT TO WORDS / EXPLAIN EXACTLY WHY, BUT YEAH! So I'm trying to write out some ideas for Dominion au scenes and I guess I'm questioning what kind of humor fits Dominator? She's definitely comically evil + mean spirited so there is dark humor galore (Plus with kid cosmic using death as a punchline, lmafo it makes for some dark opportunity),

but if.... sighes, If the writers really were trying to go for the "she doesn't belong in the show" anime-op-badass "sexy bully"(<<<gags I hate this approach i hate sexy bully) archetype, I have to wonder if she's conscious of herself in situations or not. In Q&A they say she loves riot grrl but she's also fine with using a guy persona to "mess with people"?? Mess with them how? Make them double take and awkwardly scramble to treat her differently? Or make them not judge her as a (gender) but as a badass foe first and foremost regardless, and being a woman is just the cherry on top? I have to wonder if her love for the riot grrl genre includes the fundamental girl empowerment (proud to be a girl), or the "don't judge me just because I am a girl! I belong here too!" aspect. Is her perspective that she is proud to be a badass woman, or does she feel she's a badass who happens to be woman therefore women must be great? She seems to use whatever tools she has at her disposal, but also has a comedic self care routine of fluffy towels and pink guest bathrooms. So she's all out evil villain, but also has sensitivities and seemingly personal boundaries with "me-time" which doesn't read entirely as the all out off the wall destroyer, but a quirky lethal evil conqueror. It matters because like, would she be a "sexy" bully that has personal boundaries over her body, or is it all in, make the others squirm and yelp? Is she vulgar and unhinged? or does she have some kind of pride that would prevent her from "degrading" her self in her view by flirting with people she sees as losers? We have characters that have a sense of pride or a sense of boundary, which can make for good kind spirited humor too, but if Dominator really doesn't belong, it's hard to discern just how far her actions would go. basically it's one of the two: A) she embodies the "intensely evil little girl" all grown up into a fearsome villainess, playing godzilla with living toys. This is within the same vein to Hater's "spoiled brat emo prince" all grown up into a manchild rockstar tyrant personality. This means she would have some personal boundaries and sense of pride, meaning she would toy with others (flirting, teasing) but not be intensely vulgar. Fits the setting of WoY pretty well, though? Is... being pretty and mean enough to be a sexy bully archetype? Ugh Man, I hate this trope lmao. It feels gross. B) She embodies the "evil no matter what" and just happens to be a woman. she relishes in bullying others and making them squirm, wanting to destroy everything in her path. She's super unhinged and even self-destructive if not careful. No sense of sympathy for others, she just. wants. to. destroy. those puny little faces. (Cute aggression over 9,000!) And it's bleak! Yeah! ...and, lonely. Woops. This means she would be very vulgar, and not care what people think about her or her body because of course she's already perfect, she's HER. This to me reads as more so the sexy bully archetype, but ignores some semblance of her softer sides like her "...friend?" moments with Sylvia or her funny reactions to things like "what? Ew--no." which imply personal boundaries. I'm writing a whole damn essay about this because I don't want to make her too vulgar if it's ooc. But... it's seriously hard to understand what the hell the writers even meant by "sexy bully" because is that just a hot mean girl? Or a get under your skin and twist the knife just "to break your heart and watch you cry" kinda thing??? HOW FAR DOES IT GO, idk idk. Frankly I wish canon Dominator was not fanservice sultry and only sporadically "maniac pixie nightmare girl" like the VA's videos implied, because that stuff was hysterically fitting for WoY. Unhinged and unfitting of the WoY universe, but in a light goofy turning instantly heavy and dark humored way.
