Sexuality Headcanon: Gay as hell.

A ship I have with said character: Batarou and Genos x Garou!

A BROTP I have with said character: Tareo (obviously). I love the shitty teen squad, and Garou befriending Mumen. I also think Garou and Suiko, and Garou and Suiryu would get along well separately. Suiko and Garou I think would click more immediately, and Garou would view Suiryu as everything he fights against, then grow to appreciate him the way one grows to appreciate getting a pair of socks as a birthday gift. 

Is it something you thought you’d like? No. But they’re here now and for some reason you’re excited about it.

Being friends with both of them means acting as the middleman for them, which Garou is terrible at. He gives up almost immediately and forces them to hash it out.

Him and Mumen is a bit more straightforward: Mumen got his good reputation from being a genuinely good person, not because he always wins a fight. I think Garou could appreciate his scrappiness and good heart. And Mumen sees the best in everyone. I feel like they’d have a big brother little brother dynamic.

Ok one that’s a little more out of left field is I think he and Stinger would get along well. Stinger’s pretty earnest, and out of the heroes—though he’s popular—he’s one of the more selfless ones. Garou knows this too, and used his loyalty to his friends to his advantage. I think the two would actually grow to appreciate one another/actually get along.

A NOTP I have with said character: I’ve seen Garou x Zenko fanart when looking for Murata art for Garou edits and. Hm. Kneecap removal.

Given Garou’s 18, I’m also not super comfortable with ships that involve him and someone 20+.

A random headcanon: I’ve mentioned this previously, but I feel like Garou would be someone who sucks at mediation. He’s just not good at being a passive observer of his own thoughts. He’s been doing a lot of it lately, but he hasn’t gotten any better at it. So he’s moved to self-reflection instead.

General Opinion over said character: I love Garou. There’s something about the idea of a character who decides to be bad because he’s had it shoved onto him his whole life and is convinced that since people think he’s bad, he can’t be good/a character that feels it’s his only choice. I also love how he acts as a foil to so many of the characters in OPM. I’m hoping we see more of him in the webcomic.
