😈 Has there been a point in a story where you did something just to be playfully mean to your readers?

Not that it was my intent starting out, but I think all of More Devils Than Shoulders so far is this and a sizable chunk of remaining plot before we get to the ending continues the trend 😅

🎉 What leads you to consider a fic a success?

Unironically, actually writing the damn thing down enough to edit it, and/or editing it to the minimum level of coherence that it can be posted and read. So that it doesn't follow me around haunting me like the spectres of every time I ever disappointed myself lmao

Once published, if one person says they liked it, I know all my hard work isn't in vain. If someone likes it enough to spread it (links, reblogs, recs etc) then I know I've really made something enjoyable.

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

Moments that imply a fucktonne of history between two characters in a single image/moment/few sentences. Like in Love Is a Battlefield when Rebel!Obi-Wan says, "Back to back, like we practiced." THEY PRACTICED GOING OUT TOGETHER IN A LAST DESPERATE STAND. And later in the same chapter when it very briefly mentions he gave this version of Anakin the eye scar.
