Can we also talk about the pose that you used for nico because oh my god he's waving at someone here isnt it? I'm choosing to intepret this as nico waving hello to lewis (is it reciprocated? Discuss.) The way you placed the ring so prominently in view of the audience too!!!! Right over his guts. Hmmm. HMMMM

(Also going nuts with your choice of using the same colour for nico's wedding ring and lewis's pinky ring. Its brilliant technical wise w the color contrast and ALSO narratively)

Awroghh the literal flaying....... thinking about how everytime he says anything abt lewis, its going to be dissected to the bare bones by everyone online .... the emotional flaying of showing his vulnerability but also covering it with his trademark charm but its also far too strong that you can still peer through the flesh of it all (which is also reinforced by the text on the watch)

Episode 8

Starting off the episode with Hooty. She was already invested.

So uh as much as she loves Hooty she still was weird out by him... swallowing King

"What is Hooty eating???" Cuz King was covered in some stuff.

Alright! Imma TRY to put down the Raven Mom talk for a second to talk about this scene. (Freakin RAVEN MOM THOUGH!)

This was an AMAZING occurrence! She DID IT! She unlocked her Harpy Form!

She took my breath away with how beautiful she looks! And that smile when she transforms is radiant… she looks so….free… so at PEACE.

Now there was a lot of mixed emotions when I saw this too. It didn’t quite HIT me the way it was supposed to.

First reason being I was still lowkey recovering from that (you know what) moment prior to it, but second being I could not help being a tad bit disappointed we didn’t get to see her unlock it.

Disney really screwed us over. If we had more time in the series we would’ve gotten Harpy Lilith ALOT sooner and would’ve seen her actually use it in combat along side her sister. Had her fight in the throne room with the Owl Family! Maybe even take Amity with her to fight along side her girlfriend!

Amity and Lilith should’ve been in that throne room! I’m incredibly bitter!

Plus I wanted to see how she did it… was it through the same method as Eda or was it something more intense. Did she struggle unlocking it? Does she have a bird spirit of her own?

I have a few theories on how she unlocked her new form (which I will post next week)

The point though is, we didn’t get to tag along on Lilith’s journey to this level. It was an important occasion for her life and we MISSED IT… still though… we got to see it at all. I guess I should be grateful for that… but there’s NOOO doubt in my mind Lilith was the main victim of the cancellation of The Owl House.

It is what it is… there’s nothing we could do about it…

Painful periods

amity has a really bad period and ends up slipping. Luz is very kind and cares for her.

It was a fine morning for Luz. She had woken up feeling energized and happy. She and Amity had a couple classes that day which always made her feel excited. Eda hadn’t woken up yet and it was almost time to leave for school so Luz decided to walk. After eating her nutritious breakfast, she began her journey to Hexside.

As she made it to the front doors, she saw her friends hanging out in the front. 

“Hey, Luz!” Gus greeted her. Willow waved.

“Hello, friends!” Luz hugged them because of course she would. However, she noticed Amity was nowhere to be found. That was strange because she usually hung out with the group. Ever since the whole expulsion, Amity was starting to break out of her shell and become friends with the Hexsquad. So it was strange not seeing Amity there.

“Hey, where’s Amity?” She asked the group.

“I don’t know. She's usually always early,” Willow points out.

It was pretty strange that she wasn’t early. Maybe she just got held up? Luz tried not to worry about it too much and went to her homeroom. She had Abominations in the morning and Plants in the afternoon, so she should see Amity in her classes.

However, when she made it to her homeroom, she did not see Amity in her usual designated spot. But after a couple minutes later, the green-haired girl finally came, stumbling through the door right before the bell. She took her seat next to Luz and got out her stuff. Luz noticed her eyes were looking very tired and they didn’t have their natural glow they usually had. 

During the whole first period, Amity was making small expressions of pain. Her eyebrows furrowed, or she would grit her teeth. This worried the latina. So she slid Amity a small note, asking what was wrong.

Amity read it and wrote down a reply.

“I’m fine. Just woke up late,” 

Luz knew that wasn’t the only thing bothering her. She saw how every time Amity had to get up to do something, she made a face as if she were preparing herself. So she decided to confront her during their passing period.

“Hey, I know something’s up. Why won’t you tell me?” 

“Tell you what?” Amity played dumb

“You look like you’re in pain, Amity!” Luz got straight to the point. 

“I’m- I’m fine, Luz,” She assured her. However, as she tried to walk away, she couldn’t help but double over in pain.

“Amity, please tell me what's wrong!” Luz came up to her side. But, instead of a response, she got a whimper.

“It hurts…so bad,” She managed to get out. She was in so much pain that she didn’t even care about being vulnerable with Luz.

“It’s alright, Ami, you can get through this,” Luz patted her back and tried to give some sort of comfort. A couple minutes passed and Amity seemed to be okay.

“What happened?” Luz asked as she began walking her up to the nurse.

“Cw- cramps… bad ones,” She whispered, feeling embarrassed. She was the top student, for titans sake! How would people react if they found out she was practically crying about a stomach ache.

"Oh, Amity… I'm sorry," Luz said with sympathy. She rubbed her back in order to provide some comfort.

"You don't need to pity me… I'm weak for dis…" Amity mumbled, unknowingly heading into little space.

"Amity, you're allowed to be in pain. It doesn't make you weak. Come on, let's go to the nurse," 

"Nooo! I don't wanna go…" she whined.

"Why not?" Luz questioned.

"Cuz I'd m-miss school 'nd.. 'nd" another bad cramp waved over her. She whimpered and sat on the floor, her lip quivering as a few tears spilled out. It was lucky that this happened in an unpopular hallway.

Luz kneeled down and pat her back. 

"It's okay, Ami. I think you're slipping, sweetie," she explained softly. 

Finally, Amity let her guard down. She let herself be in pain. She let herself slip and be small. But most importantly, she let herself be taken care of.

Luz picked her up and carried her to the nurses office. Amity was feeling too nervous and in too much pain to speak, so Luz had to explain the situation to the nurse. Luckily, the nurse understood and let Luz take Amity to the owl house, as she thought it would be a bad idea to take her to the Blight Manor.

Amity continued to cry during the walk back to the owl house. She was in a lot of pain and discomfort. Luz had to carry her most of the way.

“Its okay, we’re here now,” Luz comforted her when they walked through the door. But she continued to cry. Luz decided it was probably best to change her into something more comfy. Before she did, she asked her how old she was feeling. Amity held up 2 fingers, so a pull-up or diaper and sleeper would probably be best to use. 

Amity was very fussy during the change. She couldn’t be in the fetal position so she felt really uncomfortable and hurty, especially since Luz was the one changing her. She was okay with Ed and Em doing it, but didn’t know how it would be with Luz.

“Its alright, sweetie, i'm just helping you get changed. I’m not judging you for anything,” Luz reassured. After cleaning up the blood, she attached the padded disposable underwear over Amity’s waist till it was nice and snug. Luckily, Amity seemed to become more relaxed once the padding was secure. Amity found it really comforting and safe. It helped distract her from the pain for just a little bit.

“There we go! All done!” Luz announced when she finished putting her in the sleeper. She tickled Amity a little, trying to make her feel a bit better, but she just whimpered instead. 

“Ah, sorry, Ami,” she quickly apologized once she realized Amity did not want to be tickled.

“How about some cuddle and movie time?” Luz suggested. The girl nodded.

“I wan paci,” she babbled. Luz dug through some of the little gear before pulling out a lavender pacifier and handed it to Amity to take. She helped Amity get comfortable on the the mattress and sleeping bag. Then she grabbed the crystal ball and put on some cartoons to distract amity for a bit. While she was distracted, she went to fill up a hot water bottle, hoping Amity wouldn’t mind being away from her for too long.

When she returned to the room, she saw poor Amity, curled up and whimpering.

“Baby, whats wrong?” Luz asked softly, slowly coming closer.

“It huwts…’vrywhewe” Amity whimpered.

“Sorry, sweetie, I have something that could help, though,” Luz kneeled down next to her. Amity looked up to see Luz with the hot water bottle.

“Here, you put this on your tummy,” She explained. Amity listened and put it on.

FINAL PART EXPLAINING MY REACTION TO S2 EP8 BECAUSE AHHH

Okay i have been writing all my feelings down on a piece of paper whilst watching this episode because last episode's reaction was REALLY weird so i wanted to be organised and have all my reactions available to write here, and so I have been just copy and pasting all what I wrote into these posts

Owl House Finale Rambles 🦉

Now that the episode is finally posted and I've finished it, I'd like to ramble about it and how much of the show I appreciated and loved for what it did💖

Spoilers below:

•Everything about this finale was perfect. From beginning to end, it left me on a rollercoaster of emotions.

Oh so we're starting Luke that huh--

We still got to see the guilt that Luz and the others had from their experiences from the collector, belos still manipulating him and using him for his own plans.

It's actually sweet that we get to see Luz show the collector her own stories with eda and king to give him a more humane point of view than what he thinks about playing his games. It's nice to be reminded that the collector is just a kid who was abandoned by his siblings. It was really sad seeing what happened to him and everything wasn't even his fault in the first place.

•God this show is such a wonder that I got to see through for three years now. For me and my friend, it pretty much got us through tough times, especially when we had a long distance friendship. The ideas and world of the show inspired me for my own stories and every character and work put in just made me love the show with every episode. There wasn't a cartoon that had put me on the edge of each big moment like The Owl House. Thank you, Dana and the crew, for a show I wouldn't have thought I would ever experience from all the other shows I've watched.💖

After Raine and eda have there first biological child Raine has a nightmare where they are in the castle in there coven head clothes/uniform and they look down and see there child in there arms they try to settle there baby as they walk around trying to find and exit well a Vine follows them around that's growing/sprouting two certain flowers

Snapdragons and the flower terra used in there brainwashing tea they find a door they think is the exit but it's the throne room the baby begins to cry and do a grabby motion and Raine trys to settle the baby telling him/her "don't worry your Baba's here"

Then the emperor appears and says give him/her to me whispers

Raine trys to say no and run away but belos grabs the baby Raine trys to run at him with there violin but they get restrained by belos's goo/tentacles and hit in the wrist to drop there violin they watch as belos walks over to the throne with there baby who's crying and trying to get back to them trying to grab them

Belos takes off the mask smiles Raine trys to scream out "nooo" then they wake up there wrist hurting (the same one they had a sigil on)

And there baby crying Raine runs over settles the baby and gets in the nest trying not to cry only to feel something goopy touching there hand they hear a voice
