i cried my eyes out during welcome to the black parade. from only hearing that song "live" during emo nites to hearing the band play it live 5 times now.

i'm so grateful for mcr. i know their future is uncertain rn & i'll be devastated if they leave again. i'm so fortunate to have had so many opportunities to see them since they came back.

this band is in every fiber of my being. i love them so dearly.

my favorite live song is mama. screaming "you should've raised a baby girl/i should've been a better son" will never not be cathartic. the way the crowd sways all together at the end. it was also my first favorite song by them growing up.

thanks to tonight i've now seen all my favorite songs by them live. the sharpest lives, house of wolves, boy division, i never told you & thank you for the venom. honorable mentions are demolition lovers & vampires.

music is all i have in this world. the only thing that can truly understand me. i don't know what or who i'd be without it.

It is weird to think about that most people don't see someone act out or have sudden strange behavior & immediately think "well what is happening/happened to them" to make them behave that way. Not as an excuse but more of understanding to help them out. But idk maybe I've just studied people & their behavior my entire life that I like connecting the dots so I can understand people.

Like for example I was talking to someone awhile ago & they said they don't have empathy for homeless people when they act "crazy" in public & I had to explain that they're mentally ill & probably completely unaware that they're behaving that way, along with all the systematic problems that probably led them to that point & they had just never thought of it that way. & like I'm glad I was able to change their mind but it's weird how people don't ever think deeper into other human beings & will just right them off as "bad."

I'm not saying I've never been judgemental either & there's a limit to how much you can tolerate & people are responsible for their own actions but also, I care & want people to be better despite their circumstances. It doesn't take much to care about others.
