En mi infancia durante los 70s-80s supe ser un entusiasta lector de cómics (historietas, en esos años). Mi lectura se basaba en las aventuras de Batman y Superman, de DC Comics, aunque también llegaban a mis manos las del Hombre Araña, Iron Man, Hulk y Thor, de Marvel. Muchas eran traducidas y editadas por Novaro, una editorial mexicana especializada en colecciones de libros de bolsillo, literatura juvenil y cómics. En la contratapa de estas historietas siempre aparecía el aviso del Método de Tensión Dinámica de Charles Atlas en el que se prometía “un cuerpo de Atlas en 7 días”. En la publicidad aparecía el propio Atlas luciendo un diminuto traje de baño de leopardo y una viñeta con la historia de un flacucho que es humillado en la playa por un bravucón, pero que gracias al famoso método obtiene un cuerpo musculoso que le permite vengarse del agresor.
