duuuude that sounds SHITTY. and yeah summer heat is miserable. i am a couple of twigs bundled together in a meat suit and yet the heat still sticks my toothpick-looking-thighs together. cannot imagine having more insulation on my body in this heat (although probably better in winter).

imo chameron is always doomed because of cameron's huge quantity of commitment issues + her not being super into the idea of dating chase in the first place combined with chase's huge quantity of daddy/mommy issues making him desperate for any shred of affection and probably a bit clingy/needy and obnoxious to have as a romantic partner unless said romantic partner is a fan of that, which i don't think cameron is ever really shown to be. she's the empathetic one but she also runs from emotions. i think chase could only work with someone who runs on neediness (like wilson. i don't ship that, but i think that for chase to have a romantic relationship that isn't doomed to failure he needs a partner who is more like wilson. wilson is too hung up on house. throuple hilsonase wouldn't work in this verse but in other verses sure) (sorry if i spoiled the divorce for you!)

some fics i've read feature omegas going into distress. is that a thing in your mgv? when i read fics with that i have mixed feelings. on the one hand, i love non-sexual instinctual elements in fics. on the other hand, often it ends up too close to victorian notions of female hysteria.

i think just saying "omega in distress" and leaving that as the the problem is definitely just another flavor of female hysteria. which is why some mgv fics can really get under my skin as they (intentionally or not) are just restating irl notions and replacing the role of women with omegas. and that's just straight up uncool.

anyone in the mgv is capable of hitting a point where you can say they're a little feral for a minute. but those moments are more like short outbursts than a prolonged episode. like wilson pulling out the alpha voice when house is grating on his last nerve (it's not mind control, just makes the other person more willing to listen; if the listener and alpha are on good terms, the listener will usually be more inclined to do what the alpha asks. even still, pulling the voice out on someone is extremely rude)

likewise, someone in heat or rut is definitely more instinct-driven just as a rule of thumb. that's just how it is. growling, hissing, nipping, bunting, scenting, all of it's fair game.
