Yeah, mum love noodles so we are back at Sarawak Kolo Mee located in Koufu (口福) Food Court at Sun Plaza. No prize for guessing which bowl belongs to mum. She had the Crispy Chicken Kolo Mee (香酥鸡排哥罗面) with no added chilli sauce. The sliced pieces of breaded deep-fried chicken cutlet covered the curly noodles at the bottom with those sinfully yummy fried pork lard at the side. Dry style noodles dish in Singapore is always paired with a bowl of soup.

For my Mushroom Chicken Feet Noodle (香菇鸡脚面), I loaded it with fried pork lard and a scoop of the chilli paste. A pair of fried and then braised chicken feet, braised mushrooms and mince pork over the springy kolo mee. Some people might balk at eating chicken legs, also known as phoenix claws (凤爪) if that sound better to you. But if prepared and cooked properly, they are such a delicacy. Very commonly eaten in China and Asian countries, even dim sum places around the world offered it on the menu.

I was getting annoyed by the length and overall look of my hair so instead of chopping it all off I decided to cut my bangs! what do you think, do I keep them?

We also baked some cookies for the neighbors and spent the evening at their house, it was lovely! and look at my neighbor's collection! He's been collecting these tiny drinks since he was 14, he's in his 60s now and his whole office is covered in them. I asked him if I could take pictures to share and he was elated 😊 now I've made it my mission to get him more of them!

it's the young lady in my icon again!! It's Chrysanthemum. I wanted to update her outfit to have it look more like clothes someone raised by a human would choose, because she never actually met another person of her species until she was a young adult. She also likes sewing and embroidery, and has been making/modifying her own clothes for a long time (out of necessity and also for fun), so her little top and the long, flowy part of her headdress (and her pants in the second sketch) have decorative flourishes.

Pata in the second sketch has lived away from his homeland and in a more multicultural area for a few years, so his actual everyday clothes also somewhat resemble the clothes worn by humans and other sorts of people-- but here he's dressed in a traditional outfit to show both the fashion contrast and height/build contrast between Chrysanthemum and an average adult of her species.

It is just the two of us eating so mum is not cooking tonight. I was tasked to bring home dinner so I went back to the Sarawak Kolo Mee stall at Koufu (口福) Food Court. Picked the same Crispy Chicken Kolo Mee (香酥鸡排哥罗面) for mum and myself. Loaded it with plenty of crispy pork lard and also a scoop of chilli paste for my own bowl. The springy noodles are a plus point as is the crispy yet still juicy chicken cutlet.

I commissioned @littlestpersimmon to draw my favorite character ever, dustfinger from inkheart, and I have not stopped staring in actual awe since he finished it. my coworkers can vouch that I cried in public over seeing it for the first time lol.
