Get to know Sri
Stage Name: Sri
Birth Name: Srihari Venkat
Nationality: Australian
Ethnicity: Indian
Position: Rapper, Dancer, Producer
Birthday: July 9 1988
Zodiac Sign: Cancer
Height: 170 cm (5'7")
Blood type: O+
MBTI: INTP
Representative animal: 🐱(I don't really remember if it is used to represent Lee Know as well, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)
Unit: DanceRacha, 3Racha(Don't really think it'd be 3 anymore tho-)
Facts about Sri
He was born in Brisbane, Australia
Has a younger sister who's 5 years younger than him
Came to Korea to train when he was 18
He had very little training in dance (the training being the dance classes he had joined when he was 7/8 years old for a few months) before he was recruited
Although He had been learning Carnatic music ever since he was 3, he stopped learning at the age of 14 (so about 11 years of experience)
He auditioned to be an idol out of spite for his dad
He had been doing his bachelor's degree and masters in architecture while being an idol as he 'wanted to have a back-up plan just in case'
He has a mole on his right cheekbone
He was a trainee for about 2 years
Nicknames given by STAY: Chan's wife, Nicknames given by the members: Eomma, Venki
He treats English as his first language. He can speak Japanese fluently, Tamil (his mother tongue), and Hindi to a decent extent. He can also speak French and Mandarin but no one really knows that he can speak those two languages
He can draw and paint quite well when given a reference but he says he lacks the creative skills to just visualise something and draw it
As per the members, he has quite a laid-back personality and is a comfort figure to all of them. They also say that he's quite good at giving advice even if he hadn't been in the situation himself
As per Chan, Sri struggles to express his emotions as he fears that he'd be burdening others by telling them about his struggles. And even if Sri does express his emotions, he struggles to frame and tell others about how exactly he feels about something
He has double-jointed thumbs and elbows
He has a driver's license and enjoys going on long drives with his members
When he isn't driving, you can always spot him wearing his headphones and gazing out the window
His favourite season is Spring and he loves rainy and stormy weather
He actually is a vegetarian and does not eat any type of meat
He is extremely introverted when it comes to social interactions with people he doesn't know quite well but is also one of the most upbeat when around the members, kinda like another member Han
He has very strong opinions and will not hesitate to express them. This trait of his has gotten him into quite a few scandals
His favourite colour is purple
He doesn't really have a favourite food, he will enjoy anything that is mentioned to be spicy but he actively avoids most fruit, his least favourite being strawberries and any kind of melon except watermelon
He prefers producing songs rather than songwriting
He has a pet dog named Cosmo back in Australia and also owns two cats in Korea, named Blossom and Buttercup, Blossom is a ginger cat and Buttercup is a black cat
As per the members and STAY, Sri is a caring person, prepared for almost any situation that comes his way. He seems to always put the members before his own needs. In the first one Kid's Room, he said that if given a choice to protect either himself or his loved ones, he'd always pick to protect his loved ones as he'd rather not live than imagine living a life without his loved ones
He is the typical 'mom friend', always having something or the other in his bag for any situation, earning his nickname 'Eomma'. You're hungry? Sri has a snack bar in his backpack. You got hurt? He's got a first-aid kit somewhere in his bag, You need anything ranging from a charger to a makeup product? Sri's always got something in his bag
He loves dad jokes and puns
He lives true to his MBTI, trying to see logic even when it isn't required.
He shares his dorm with Chan and I.N
He is SKZ's handyman being able to fix most things that the others break. That being said, he is the one who ends up breaking most things due to his clumsy ass
He tends to seem quite calm under pressure although he most probably is panicking internally
He is a major perfectionist and will redo his autograph multiple times during fan meetings and signings, just so that it's 'perfect'
Although Sri would much rather cook and bake alone as doing it alone gets him in his 'zone', he enjoys baking and cooking with Felix and Minho as well
He often tricks the other members into eating vegetarian food and then just lets them guess the 'meat' that was in the dish when in reality it's either cauliflower or some form of soy. He does this just to prove a point to them as most of them have this general notion that vegetarian food is bland
He often goes to the gym alongside Chan and Changbin
He usually helps Chan with leading the members on days when Chan is too exhausted to do it himself
He is friends with Hongjoong, San, and Mingi from ATEEZ
He is often seen hanging out with Yeji and Ryujin from ITZY

Secondary Dorm; Octavinelle (if she had magic)
Friends; Deuce, Ace, Trey, Grim
Other Information~
The "Yuu" for Heartslabyul's chapter.
Yusra is the first "Yuu" to be teleported in TWST, which panics her brother Prem back at home (more on him later). She adapts quickly though, and Deuce reminds her of her brother, so she befriended him right away. She's also friends with Ace and Grim, although she really doesn't know why she decided to keep those two headache inducers around. Oh right, those three are a package deal.
Yusra's family is Bengali, but immigrated to Brisbane, Australia; that's right, Bengali-Australian MC. She had to deal with large spiders and the occasional snake; what's magic to that? She is self-assured in her abilities, but she also does keep an eye out for her friends. Somewhat blunt with her words, but her emotions can be easily read.
The mirror would have sorted her into Octavinelle if she had magic, as she is at her core, generous. Not a generous winner though, especially during strategy games; likes to be smug when she beats Azul. Terrible when it comes to luck-based games, but oh well, as long as she doesn't come in last place. (Frenemies with Azul, polite with Idia for the most part)
She tends to get out extra stress - be it due to being in a different dimension, her new friends, or everything in between - by cooking family recipes. And she befriended Trey when she was cooking one night, and enjoys spending time with him when she's not busy. He's calm, and she likes that... even if his puns are terrible. But bad puns is better than putting out another fire.
She likes lighter fabrics, as they allow for more movement. She HATES itchy fabrics as it irritates her skin. She ADORES pastel colours, and she only has pastel clothes in her closet back at home; not a fan of the NRC uniform but she makes do with pastel hijabs. She tends to decorate her hijab with pins; usually a pink heart or the blue pearl pin gifted to her by Prem. She also wears bright bands in her braces.
She loves cats, and likes to stay behind whenever she has time in Professor Trein's class, petting Lucius and learning more about Twisted Wonderland. Lucius reminds her of her one cat back at home, Berlioz. Whereas Grim reminds her of Toulouse, her no-brain-cell-having orange cat. She finds Headmage Crowley... incompetent.
Bonus fits!
#twst oc#yusra bashar#twst yuu#majority of my yuus are going to be ace and/or aro btw#I got 2 ocs whose nicknames are Yu and Yoo but you won't see Yoo until later#also adding a bit of other disney movies into their lores; so yusra & prem's is aristrocats!#prem will be next

Thank you!
1) where do you think class of 07 takes place? do you think the school is posh enough to pull people from different states or would they all pretty much be local?
2) what kind of beer is most associated with aussie rednecks (and is "bogan" dated slang)?
okay so
the show takes place in New South Wales. The co-ordinates that Zoe gives out on the Radio (south 34.4100, East 150.3037) show it to be south of Sydney, and about 1.5 hours drive away. Generally boarding schools cater to in-state kids, different states have different end of year exams and education standards, so I assume all the student, bar Sandi, lived in New South Wales for their whole childhood, however characters like Teresa have moved inter state; in her case to Queensland to live in Brisbane. Based on how close the town lights are in the first episode I assume there are also day school girls as well and boarders. So they would be largely state locals but from a mix of Rural and Urban backgrounds
Bogan is still used, generally it's a pretty broad term, more a reclaimed label rather than a pejorative imo. Beer wise there a lot of state pride in your local mass market beer(I live in Western Australia and my dad loves Emu Export). The common beer in NSW is Toohey's New.
feel free to ask any thing else that you want clarity on

Today marks thirteen years to the day and almost hour since I was discharged Brisbane's Mater Children's Hospital psychiatric ward following a few attempts that luckily, for the ones who know and/or love me, failed. So, I thought why not for a second year in a row highlight and put the focus on one of the good things that have come out of me continuing to survive despite it all.
This is a special shout out to the OG best friend, one of the most beautiful humans I know to have ever appeared on the face of this planet and one of the people you can thank for me being here today. You know who she is, the one and only Britta.
So, our friendship hasn't always been smooth-sailing on account of my idiot self for mucking things up, but what I can say is we currently present in each other's lives. As our inception goes, we met in high school. I think it was the study of religion where we connected and I remember the moment she asked me if I thought we could be best friends. It was only after a few classes and, of course, having never had best friend before I wholeheartedly accepted the offer. Turns out it would be one of the best decisions I would ever make.
She arrived at the right time. She made me feel safe and loved, seen and heard, so it didn't take me long to share with her some of the things I hadn't really shared with anyone at the time. My mental health struggles had been long, but it wasn't until I was best friends with Britta that I got the help I needed.
In the initial stages of the getting-the-help-I-needed journey she burst out in tears, one of the few times I've ever seen her cry, in fear of my reaction to her reaching out to high school-related resources about my situation. Of course, I wasn't mad, simply scared, if anything. And there began the beginning of my attempt to mind my head.
She did what no one before her had done and gotten the right people involved. I guess it's because she didn't want to lose one of the most valued people to her at the time. Months would pass and she was my literal shoulder to cry on more times than I could count throughout. Then, things were okay between us until they weren't.
There was a time I grew distant and more troubled and lost sight of what mattered most to me, which led to a misunderstanding on a fire-drill Wednesday and ultimately formed the catalyst for me to make attempts on my life. Of course, I should mention, what happened between us wasn't the sole reason behind why I made the attempts that I did as attempts tend to be multifaceted. But I spent the following Thursday and Friday at home making attempts so I did not have to face another day experiencing this little life of mine.
Evidently, my plans did not see through, so when I returned to school the next week, that did not stop me from trying again. I tried something at lunchtime on the Monday (or was it the Tuesday) and spent the rest of the afternoon clammy with the feeling that I was going to pass out at any second. That was the last of my attempts before I relayed everything to my occupational therapist on the Wednesday, which only happened to be the second session with him, where I eventually found my parents driving me to Mater Children's Hospital in Brisbane later that night for a stay of an unknown amount of time. For the record, I stayed nine days.
I am unsure as to what went on inside of me, but I felt different towards Britta from that time onwards and not in a positive sense. Unfortunately, I never spoke a word to her about how she was making me feel, which did not give the opportunity for discussion and healing if something was definitely off. And something was off. Something was off and I was hurting. So, during another lunchtime I finally made a fool of myself and drove that wedge between us. We hardly interacted after that. And I spent the rest of the year a little lost and confused and feeling as though I didn't belong anywhere. Then, before we knew it, it was our high school valedictory dinner.
I did not think about it then until recent times, but that could have been the last time I ever saw her. Maybe that's why, at one point in the night, I grabbed her by the arm as she was walking away and pulled her back for a hug. She was so gracious as to even whisper an "I love you," in my ear.
Fast-forward many years later and I finally found the courage to message her and say sorry for how I left things, but she dropped off the social media sphere altogether, soon after that message was sent, for reasons I did not find out about until she reappeared another few years later. But, yes, that meant we eventually reconnected.
Perhaps it was the universe's work as I once in the bathroom wished upon a loose eyelash that she would come back into my life, but whatever it is that brought us back as friends, I am glad and grateful for where we are now. She even visited me back in 2019 and we hope it does not take another eight years to see each other again.
So, what did I learn after all this? Well, as the saying goes, I learnt to: "Never ignore someone who loves and cares about you. 'Cause one day you may realise you lost the moon while counting the stars." I also learned that Britta is more than enough and will always be one of my favourite people.
So, I pledge to spend the rest of my little life making it up to her whilst synchronously finding the space to forgive myself for what happened between me and my dear friend. I love you always and forever, here and beyond, my Britta. I hope you know how much you mean to me. And there is no other I would have dedicated my first poetry book to… 🖤

How Much Does Laser Eye Surgery Cost in Brisbane?
When discussing the laser eye surgery price, it’s essential to understand that costs can vary widely. Factors such as the type of procedure, the surgeon’s expertise, the clinic’s location, and post-operative care all influence the final price.
Different types of laser eye surgery, such as LASIK, PRK, and SMILE, each have unique costs. LASIK is one of the most popular choices due to its quick recovery time and high success rate, but it may come at a higher price compared to other methods. PRK, though typically less expensive, involves a longer recovery period. Similarly, the newer SMILE procedure offers advanced technology but can also affect the cost.
In Brisbane, the competitive market means you can find high-quality services at a reasonable price, but it’s crucial to prioritize safety and expertise over cost alone.
The Average Cost of Laser Eye Surgery in Brisbane
When exploring the laser eye surgery cost Brisbane, you’ll find a range of options depending on the clinic and the procedure. On average, patients can expect to pay between $2,500 to $3,500 per eye for standard LASIK. Advanced procedures like SMILE may cost slightly more, with prices ranging up to $4,500 per eye.
While these figures might seem steep, it’s essential to consider the long-term benefits. Many people spend thousands on glasses and contact lenses over their lifetime. By investing in laser eye surgery, you could save money while gaining freedom from corrective eyewear.
Why Costs Differ Between Clinics
You might notice significant differences in the laser eye surgery price between clinics in Brisbane. These variations often stem from differences in technology, expertise, and additional services offered. Clinics that use state-of-the-art laser systems may charge more due to the precision and safety these devices provide. Additionally, the surgeon’s experience and reputation can greatly impact the price.
Some clinics offer package deals that include pre-operative consultations, surgery, and post-operative care. While these might come at a higher initial cost, they ensure comprehensive care throughout your journey. When comparing prices, it’s crucial to ensure that the quoted cost covers all aspects of the procedure, avoiding hidden fees later on.
Financing Options for Laser Eye Surgery
The laser eye surgery cost Brisbane may seem daunting, but many clinics offer flexible payment plans to make the procedure more affordable. Financing options allow you to spread the cost over several months or years, reducing the immediate financial burden.
Some health insurance providers may also cover part of the cost, especially if your vision issues are severe or impact your quality of life. It’s worth consulting your insurer to understand the coverage options available.
Is Laser Eye Surgery Worth the Investment?
For many people, the benefits of laser eye surgery far outweigh the cost. Beyond the financial savings on glasses and contacts, there’s the priceless benefit of clear vision. Imagine waking up every morning without the hassle of searching for your glasses or dealing with the discomfort of contact lenses.
Moreover, improved vision can enhance your quality of life, boosting confidence and making everyday activities like driving, reading, and exercising more enjoyable. For residents of Brisbane, investing in laser eye surgery is an opportunity to embrace these benefits while enjoying the convenience of world-class clinics in the city.
Tips for Choosing the Right Clinic in Brisbane
Finding the right clinic is crucial when considering the laser eye surgery cost Brisbane. Start by researching clinics with a strong reputation for safety and success. Read patient reviews and testimonials to gauge their experiences. Scheduling an initial consultation is a great way to ask questions about the procedure, costs, and the technology used.
It’s also wise to choose a clinic that emphasizes personalized care. Each patient’s eyes are unique, and the best clinics will tailor their approach to meet your specific needs. This ensures the best outcomes and minimizes risks during and after the surgery.

At the Railway’s Mercy
Nearly everybody including me, who lived beyond Brisbane’s boundaries, relied on trains for transportation. Trams didn’t run outside the city’s perimeter. Whilst motor vehicles had increased in number since the fifties, regional roads were still built for horse and cart traffic. This reliance made the Railway a powerful organisation. Such monopoly, its’ executives believed would continue forever.
The Railway treated its employees, passengers and freight customers alike with condescension. It transported almost everything everywhere on its own timetable: the living, their animals, the dead and anything these needed for their existence and business. It brought mail from all corners of the state to the General Post Office in Brisbane for sorting and onward travel. People accepted their deliveries would arrive whenever and in whatever condition these eventually did, having passed through multiple pairs of hands.
The Railway’s lines crisscrossed the length and breadth of the state. Even tinpot communities of a few hundred people had stations manned with staff and permanent track maintenance crews. The Railway’s costs to operate as well as to maintain its infrastructure and to build more greatly exceeded the normal person’s comprehension. Notwithstanding its volume of traffic, it didn’t earn a profit with the deficit of thousands of pounds footed by the taxpayers. They didn’t complain. Accordingly, the Railway saw no reason why it should change its antiquated, inefficient practices.
Every week day, I joined the thousands of its passengers. Those days that I began my journey at Bethania Station, I waited for a suburban rattler pulled by a PB15 steam engine to arrive at 6.25 am. Usually, the train came on time as it should have given that the station was its first stop. I stepped up from the low platform on to a carriage’s running board and grabbed the metal handles to climb into one of the train’s six second class carriages.
Inside, I looked for the least dirty seat and brushed the coal dust from it. Some people sat on the advertisement section of their newspapers. I wasn’t sure which was worse on one’s backside, a coal smudge or an advertisement for unmentionables. A few men smoked cigarettes and pipes even though the carriage may have been designated as nonsmoking. Smoke was both outside and inside; there wasn’t any difference. At least the nicotine smell cloaked the unwashed smell of some passengers. The ticket snapper soon came along with the hope I was a fare evader. This was not so and never so! The guard leant out from the rear carriage and waited for the station master’s hand signal. Upon receiving this, he waved his green flag and blew his whistle. The engine driver released the mighty steam engine’s brakes and engaged its drive wheels. The train lurched forward and began its slow thirty-two kilometre journey to South Brisbane Station.
As a child, I loved train rides to Brisbane. As a young man, the opposite applied. The route rarely varied so the daily scenes outside the carriage window didn’t either. After thousands of journeys, I barely glanced at them anymore. The constant clicky clack of the train’s steel wheels numbed my mind into a state of lethargy. I usually battled to stay awake as one never knew what crooked characters were passengers too. Everybody generally was suspicious of everybody else unless they knew them. Consequently, I didn’t engage in conversations with strangers. Whilst some people hid behind their newspapers, I didn’t take out a text book from my bag. The train’s constant noise and movement as well as passenger interruptions made concentration difficult.
The journey was like a trip through history. The train chugged through open country, over the Logan River and across the biggest bridge between Brisbane and Bethania. Supposedly, steam engines faster than the PB15 were too heavy to cross the aging timber bridge. The train stopped for a passenger at Loganlea sometimes. This small farming hamlet existed as it did last century. Onwards, the train steamed into the current century to Kingston, the area’s commercial hub where a prosperous butter factory operated and a once illustrious gold mine had existed. Despite the fixed gold price, the mine hadn’t turned a profit. Rumours lingered from its heyday that the miners themselves had pocketed the gold and become rich. Alas, they left behind an environmental debacle for the politicians to resolve. Next, at Woodridge, the train filled up with workers. The place was posh in name only. The government had encouraged migrants to settle there; yet had failed to plan a town or services for them. This failure would condemn it and its residents to future impoverishment.
I absentmindedly watched more stations flit by. At Runcorn, the foundations of the wartime military warehouses were still visible. Later, the Bradford Kendall heavy machinery foundry would be built on them. During World War Two, the surrounding suburbs had been the military’s manufacturing hub for equipment and armaments. Onwards, the train chugged to Rocklea which perennial floods attempted to wash away. It then picked up speed and ran express to South Brisbane. At Moorooka, I glanced at the interstate goods yards, colloquially called Clapham Junction, where a long line of retired Bayer Garrett steam engines had been parked on a track indefinitely. During the war, troops had erected a tent city close to here. As the train passed Park Road Station, Boggo Road Gaol loomed above with its gloomy Victorian architecture, home to the perpetrators of heinous crimes. At least, they saw the sunlight whilst working in the gardens.
The steam train thundered through the only tunnel on the route. Anyone who forgot to raise the rattly glass windows beforehand ended up covered in soot and coal dust. After nineteen stations, the train screeched to a halt at South Brisbane Station and disgorged hundreds of passengers. A mass of bodies charged down the stairs to the street. People boarded trams to the City or walked instead past the fish board, along the polluted Brisbane River and its docks then across Victoria Bridge. The smell was nauseating.
Unfortunately, the whole return journey awaited me if I wasn’t at college that night. I couldn’t believe that people endured this monotony for the duration of their working lives. I wasn’t yet eighteen and had already decided I didn’t like adult life or the big city very much. I also yearned for some respite from the Railway’s and its schedule’s control over my daily existence. My childhood romance with it was waning.
