Following the 1988 release of Nigel Mansell's Grand Prix, Nigel Mansell's World Championship Racing would be the second video game release using the World Formula One Champions name and likeness.

Nigel Mansell's World Championship Racing features up to 12 cars on track, with races running between 3 and 20 laps. Cars can be customised with downforce levels, gear ratios, tyre choice, and fuel level; in addition, longer races require pit stops.

Nigel Mansell's World Championship Racing was developed by Gremlin Graphics Software, the future Gremlin Interactive, and was released across multiple platforms in 1993. Console-wise, it would be released on the Sega Genesis, Amiga CD32, SNES, and NES.

Driveclub was one of PlayStation's best racing games. Sadly it had a difficult launch and years later, it's developer was closed down.

reminder to myself and whoever else needs it to stop feeding the machine. I'm aware I'm yelling into the void but look at the past couple years of games. They're pushing $70, $80, $100!!! for games that are completely unfinished, unpolished, and sometimes completely unplayable. Yes the game showcases were cool. The doom game looks sick and I don't even go there, but they're shaking the shiny keys to distract you and get you swept up in the hype. They're going to push so much fomo marketing to get you to jump for it full price.

Wait for sales. Wait and buy a used copy. Hell, wait a couple days (even hours!!!) after launch and reviews and breakdowns will start coming out. Our game backlogs are already packed, and mr big AAA studio can deal with some of us waiting to see if they actually delivered what was promised.

5 Star Racing PS1 2003

5 Star Racing is a very basic racing game and one of the classic low budget titles that were common at the end of the PlayStation 1 generation.

Gave the Nightrunners demo another shot.

Gave the car a more period-appropriate color than its original sort of pale mustardy yellow.

Won a couple races, got the money to do some...other things to it.

I'm still not great at avoiding traffic. Maybe turning off the VHS filter would help?

POV: it’s 2019 and “Drive Ahead!” isn’t completely lame yet.

I remember when they added the hot wheels stuff to the game. I remember when they added the beach theme stuff to the game. I remember all of it. Now it sucks ass and I haven’t played it in like 3 years.

I played the online pvp they added and even though they added health and I was at a severe disadvantage I still demolished people. An amazing game that was brutally murdered by its developers.
