Tonight’s dram Bruichladdich Cask Exploration - Sauternes cask (#3460)
Tumblr media
Funky bruichladdich, slightly more oily and coastal and less sweet than expected from the sauternes cask, deep flavour and a long lasting finish. Having tried Dramfool d’yquem laddie, this falls slightly short of that unless you prefer more bitter, spicy whiskies. Still I’d take another bottle 8/10

Bruichladdich 1990 29 year old DramFool.
I would withhold detailed comment as I was tired and so much tonight, but this Bruichladdich healed me sufficiently.

Bruichladdich Lochindaal 11 Dramfool Brand Ambassador’s Cask #1
Review by: Raygun Had plenty of Bruichladdich, but this will be my first Lochindaal. Lochindaal is more heavily peated than Port Charlotte, but much less than Octomore. Named after the Lochindaal distillery, which closed in 1929. Apparently they don’t make a lot of it, because it’s much less common than Port Charlotte. This particular one was bottled by Dramfood as Brand Ambassador’s Cask #1.…

Never come across any other distillery using Rivesaltes casks, but Bruichladdich makes some tasty stuff with them. Rested about 10 minutes. Reviewed from a sample thanks to Whiskery Turnip. Distillery: Bruichladdich Bottler:…

Bowmore 1996 21 year old Dramfool.
I would withhold detailed comment as I drink too much. Bonfire smoke and rich soup stock, plain malty flavor. Less fruity so far for vintage.
