The bracket is here! I had A Time fitting everything on one page, but it should embiggen so that all the names are legible. Thank you to everyone who submitted! I'll try to have the polls up soon.
Also, feel free to submit propaganda or images for any of the ships. By the nature of the bracket, it might be kinda hard to find stuff lmao.

I find it very fascinating that Robert belongs to the small circle of actors /actress' who managed to portray two iconic/well known characters in a relatively wide time span.
Katey Seagal is Peggy Bundy for the older generation but Gemma for the younger.
Sandra OH is Dr. Christina Young for the older generation and Eve for the younger.
Ed O'Neill will always be Al Bundy for the older generation and Jay Pritchett for the younger.
Brian Cranston will always be Malcolm's Dad for the older generation and Walter White for the younger.
A lot of actors /actress' aren't even able to score one iconic role, so having two is absolutely amazing and I am so happy that Robert achieved that too.
He will be Nathan and Darren for the older generation and Klaus for the younger. Actually he managed to be known for three iconic characters, which is even more awesome.
Yeah that’s true! Especially depending on the country the viewer is from. Alas, in the US Love/Hate was not on my radar and I had only heard of Misfits, so I didn’t see them until recently. But it is awesome that he has these iconic roles.

Universo: Terra-1 | Nova Terra
A Noite Mais Densa:

On March 5th 1790, Flora MacDonald, the Jacobite heroine, died.
Flora is still one of the most romanticise figures in Scottish history, much has been written about her helping Charles Edward Stuart after his escape from Culloden when he was the most hunted man in Scotland.
Flora Macdonald was born at Milton, on South Uist, where you can still see the ruins of her childhood home. She grew up in the household of the chief of the Macdonalds of Clanranald, who firmly supported the Jacobite cause. When Bonnie Prince Charlie escaped following the Battle of Culloden in 1746 he went into hiding, depending on supporters to shelter him and hide him from his Hanoverian pursuers led by the Duke of Cumberland. At length, he arrived on the island of Benbecula, where it was decided that he should move on to Skye.
The island was under travel restrictions, and the prince could not take the risk of being spotted. A Jacobite supporter and distant kinsman named Captain Conn O'Neill asked Flora to help Charles escape. Macdonald herself did not support the Jacobite cause, but she was moved by the plight of the Jacobites after the Battle of Culloden, and at length she agreed. She later said that she acted from charity, and would have helped the Duke of Cumberland had she found him in a similar situation.
She obtained permission from Hugh Macdonald, commander of the local militia and her stepfather, to leave Benbecula. She was allowed to take two servants, and a crew of six sailors. Bonnie Prince Charlie was dressed as an Irish spinning maid named Betty Burke, and in that guise he sailed with Flora to Skye on 27 June 1746.
Unlike the scene made famous in the popular 'Skye Boat Song', the Prince did not leave baffled foes standing on the shore, and managed to make the crossing unchallenged. From Skye, he made his way at length to Moidart, where he boarded a French ship and escaped to refuge in Europe.
When Flora Macdonald's role in the escape came to light she was arrested and imprisoned in the Tower of London. Though she had committed treason by helping Bonnie Prince Charlie, the public, even staunch Hanoverians, regarded her as a heroic figure, primarily because she was a woman, I have little doubt if it had been a man that helped the Prince in a similar way, he would have been executed.
She was released from the Tower in 1747. She married Allan Macdonald of Kingsburgh in 1750 and settled at Flodigarry on Skye, where she raised a family. In 1774 the couple and their 5 children emigrated to North Carolina. Her husband Alexander joined a regiment of Royal Highland Emigrants in the American War of Independence, where he was captured. He was released in an exchange of prisoners and took up a command in Nova Scotia.
In 1779 Macdonald returned to Scotland, braving an attack by privateers on the way, and settled on Skye where her husband joined her after the war was over. She died in at Kingsburgh in 1790 and was buried in the graveyard beside the 16th-century church at Kilmuir. Tradition says that she was buried in a shroud made from a bed-sheet used by Bonnie Prince Charlie.
Given her popularity as a Jacobite heroine, it is not surprising that a large memorial was erected by her grave, which became a popular destination for tourists. The original monument to Macdonald was destroyed in a gale in 1871. It was replaced by a new memorial designed by Alexander Ross in 1880. Ross's design includes a 28 foot high Celtic Cross of granite, rising above a slender rectangular chest tomb, also of granite. A marble plaque was added in 1922.
The epitaph reads, 'Her name will be mentioned in history and if courage and fidelity be virtues, mentioned with honour'. It was written by Dr Samuel Johnson of dictionary fame, who met her during his famous tour of the Hebrides with James Boswell.
In 1884, just 4 years after the monument was erected, the Skye Boat Song was published, and the popular ballad ensured that Macdonald's fame would not fade.
Here is a less well known song about not just Flora by Brian McNeill, you can tell through the song that Brian has not got a high opinion of the Prince, but holds Flora in the highest esteem as a strong woman.
Pics are of Flora's grave and the statue of the lady herself at Inverness Castle that I took in 2014.
There's a moment of your story That has always haunted me When you set out in yon open boat To help the poor man flee Was Charlie Stuart's future Already plain to see Did you know he'd be a waster on his days
If you did, I'd give the world to find A single tear you cried From the Cuillins tae the Carolinas You showed us one and all The courage you could call From the tears that would not fall From your eyes
And after thirty years After all that you'd been through us been marriede haven' been a Just a memory to rue As you watched your husband putting on His coat of scarlet hue To go and fight for German Geordie's crown
But you never tried to hide behind The dreams of days gone by From the Cuillins tae the Carolinas You showed us one and all The courage you could call From the tears that would not fall From your eyes
And there's times I think I see you When I find that kind of face When a woman's independence Has kept a woman's grace Where confidence and pride Refuse to know their place Or hide behind the easy tricks of beauty
For to me your lights are like the chimes Across the stormy skies From the Cuillins tae the Carolinas You showed us one and all The courage you could call From the tears that would not fall From your eyes
From the Cuillins tae the Carolinas Strong women rule us all With the courage that they call When the tears refuse to fall From their eyes

Second Opinion at Mayo Clinic Changes a Nurse’s Destiny
New Story has been published on https://enzaime.com/second-opinion-mayo-clinic-changes-nurses-destiny/
Second Opinion at Mayo Clinic Changes a Nurse’s Destiny
Distressed by the news that she had an inoperable brain tumor, Jessica Kenser sought a second opinion and received life-altering treatment from Mayo Clinic neurosurgeons.
December 2016 brought an end to an eight-day period in Jessica Kenser’s life that was bookended by events both devastating and astounding. That span of days began with the news that she had an inoperable brain tumor. It ended with that tumor being completely removed by Mayo Clinic neurosurgeons. Throughout the long week in between, there were many moments Jessica credits for the stunning change of events.
The first came just two days after Jessica, who is a nurse, learned she had a brain tumor deemed too deep to remove. While she was doing online coursework for a doctorate of nursing degree, an advertisement for Mayo Clinic appeared on her monitor. The ad spurred her to action.
Jessica called Mayo Clinic’s Rochester campus to request an appointment. She received the welcome news that she could get appointments the next day with physicians in Mayo Clinic’s Department of Neurology and Division of Neuro-oncology.
“Talk about by the grace of God,” says Jessica, who, with her husband, left her home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, immediately after that phone call and spent the night in Rochester to be ready for her 7:30 a.m. meetings.
Another life-changing moment arrived when her Mayo Clinic neurosurgeon Terry Burns, M.D., Ph.D., informed Jessica that her tumor could, in fact, be removed, and the tumor’s location actually made surgery a promising treatment option. On Dec. 30, just two days after meeting a team of Mayo Clinic neurosurgeons, Jessica underwent surgery. The tumor, a low-grade noncancerous growth called a pilocytic astrocytoma, and its surrounding tissues were successfully removed.
Six months later, not only has Jessica recovered with minimal side effects, but she says the experience has deepened her faith and an increased her desire to spread goodness in the world.
“Had I not sought another opinion, eventually this tumor would’ve changed into a higher grade and grown enough to cause permanent damage, and it could’ve killed me,” Jessica says. “God literally answered all my prayers. I prayed that my tumor would be operable, that it would be low grade and that I would be healed.”
Frightening findings
Jessica discovered she had a mass in her brain in May 2014. An MRI, ordered by a primary care physician who was concerned about symptoms Jessica had experienced, found a 10 millimeter spot in her right temporal lobe. That’s the part of the brain responsible for processing and integrating memories with the senses of sight, sound, taste and touch.
Because the spot did not feature signs of having its own blood supply, her neurologist told her it was likely scar tissue.
“I said, ‘Wait. Is there a possibility that it’s a tumor of some sort? Let’s just get it out!'” Jessica recalls. “But he said nobody would even attempt that because of where it’s located deep in the temporal lobe. He said, ‘We’ll monitor it.'”
Accepting her physician’s advice to monitor the mass, Jessica underwent twice-yearly MRIs to check the growth. For two and half years, Jessica’s brain mass showed no change. But in late 2016, a test revealed that the growth had developed a blood supply. Terrified of what the change could mean, Jessica demanded to know if it was cancer.
“Had I not sought another opinion, eventually this tumor would’ve changed into a higher grade and grown enough to cause permanent damage.” — Jessica Kenser
“My doctor said, ‘No, we’ll just monitor it a little closer now,”‘ Jessica recalls. “And I said, ‘I want this out of my head.'”
Her physician’s response: “No one will touch it.”
Devastated by the news, but lacking another option, Jessica began praying, and she immersed herself in her work — until she saw the words ‘Mayo Clinic’ flash across her computer screen.
“Of course I’ve heard of Mayo Clinic, but I’m not from Minnesota. I’m from California,” Jessica says. “So when the ad went on my screen, I was like, ‘Mayo Clinic’s here!’ I literally called down to Mayo right then. They got me appointments with my neurosurgeon and my neuro-oncologist 12 hours after I called.”
Immediate intervention
When Jessica arrived at Mayo Clinic, she didn’t know — and her physicians, including neuro-oncologist Brian O’Neill, M.D., couldn’t tell using the MRI scans alone — the type of tumor that had taken up residence in her brain. But Jessica’s team was confident they could remove it, and they wasted no time proceeding to treatment.
“I was there on a Wednesday, and Dr. Burns said, ‘How about Friday morning?’ I was in surgery less than 48 hours later. That’s unheard of.”
Despite her savvy in the health care field, Jessica had never required surgery and admits being unnerved by what was before her.
“I’ve always been extremely compassionate, but I’ve never been the patient before. I didn’t fully get how real that fear is,” she says, adding that her nurses took extra care to allay her worries.
“The nurses down there were phenomenal,” she says. “When I first talked to Dr. Burns, I was just a wreck, and I was crying. His nurse Lucinda cried with me and held my hand.”
“I was there on a Wednesday, and Dr. Burns said, ‘How about Friday morning?’ I was in surgery less than 48 hours later. That’s unheard of.” — Jessica Kenser
The nurse who wheeled her to surgery was equally comforting and soothed Jessica throughout the trip to the operating room.
“I told her how scared I was, and she said, ‘I got you,'” Jessica says. “All the way she held my hand and was mouthing to me. ‘It’s all right.'”
After nearly seven hours in the operating room, Jessica’s tumor and much of the surrounding tissues were removed. When Jessica woke up, her thoughts immediately went to the code word she and her husband had chosen to indicate she was OK.
“I remember going into surgery. I remember waking up,” she says. “I have zero lapse in memory.”
Rapid recovery
Less than 48 hours after waking, Jessica was discharged from the hospital. Eleven days after that, she resumed her studies. Over the course of the next few months, she achieved three As and one B, and completed 150 hours of clinical work. In February, as soon as her driving restriction was lifted, Jessica returned to her job working with patients in need of respiratory therapy.
There were some difficulties along the way, though. Jessica says she struggled with anxiety and fear immediately after her operation. And although she could previously remember her many professional and familial obligations, she must now write things down to keep her busy schedule organized. But on the whole, Jessica says she feels her life has shifted for the better as a result of her ordeal.
“My husband asked me if I could go back and not have the brain tumor, would I? And I honestly can’t answer that because my faith and appreciation for life is so different,” she says. “My outlook on life is that I am blessed to be sitting in traffic. I’m blessed to be here. The little stuff does matter, and every day I wake up with a positive attitude. My whole goal is to make someone happy today.”

The Four Doctors in Fiona Cumming’s Who career
(This interview was conducted in October 2013, for the Daily Record's Tartan TARDIS supplement. At the time she was retired and living with her husband Ian Fraser - another Doctor Who alumni - in Dumfries and Galloway, in the south of Scotland. Sadly, Fiona passed away in 2015. This interview is presented in full, with quite a lot that was cut from the print original)
Tumblr media
FIONA Cumming has a Doctor Who CV to be proud of, boasting credits with the First, Second, Third and Fifth Doctors.
Indeed, when Peter Davison made his debut as the Fifth Doctor in 1981, it was Fiona, who grew up in Glasgow and Edinburgh, who was directing the story. She went on to direct three more stories with him.
But Fiona's involvement goes further back than the 1980s, having first worked on the show in 1965 as an assistant floor manager on William Hartnell tale The Massacre.
Fiona, said:"I had applied to the BBC in 1964 when they were getting ready for BBC2, and I had been accepted - but they lost my file and because I had a teaching degree, I came back up to Glasgow and started teaching at Bellahouston Academy. I can remember in 1963 when the kids came in, talking about this brilliant TV show they had seen the Saturday night before, and I said, 'What do you mean, it's set in a police box?'
"Then in 1964 I went to the BBC as a relief assistant floor manager, where you were slotted into various programmes. I was doing the twice-weekly soaps Compact and Swizzlewick, and the first time I was moved on to something different it was Doctor Who.
"I was put onto The Massacre in 1965 - so it's now 48 years since I first worked on Doctor Who. Peter Purves was William  Hartnell's assistant at that time and the director was Paddy Russell, who had such a great reputation.
"In those days, working in television was like working in a teaching hospital - you learned from the person above you, and in turn you passed it on to the person below you when you moved up the ladder
"There was a feeling of passing on knowledge, but I think now that's not that way, because people are too busy looking after their own backs, and keeping their cards very close to their chest. In those days, there was a generosity of spirit, which was quite remarkable."
A couple of years later, Fiona worked on Patrick Troughton's second adventure after succeeding William Hartnell.
She said: "By 1967 I became a Production Assistant on The Highlanders with Pat Troughton which was one of the lost stories but there is a relic which I think I've still got. It was a piece of film in a tin and in the BBC, you get moved arond from office to office, and then one day someone forwarded this to me, along with a note, saying it was ridiculous I was leaving archive material behind! What they didn't realise was that it was just me with the clapperboard!
"I loved working with Pat Troughton and teamed up again in 1969 with The Seeds of Death. I had worked on Dr Findlays Casebook with him and admired him as an actor greatly.
"In 1972 I worked on my next Who, when Jon Pertwee was the Doctor in a story called The Mutants. That was around the time they had started using CSO, and I remember Katy Manning, who played the assistant, sitting in the middle of what seemed like a lot of custard, with the yellow colour they were using. She was pretending she could see all sorts of things, but really, it was just in the middle of this yellow part of the studio."
"The next years were varied but I'd started Directing and after cutting my teeth on Z Cars, Angels and other programmes in the Drama Serials department."
Fiona was delighted when she returned to the worlds of Doctor Who, launching Peter Davison as the Doctor in 1982 story Castrovalva.
But she didn't think that the show's new star was bothered with the level of expectation being thrust upon him after succeeding Tom Baker.
She said: "With Castrovalva, I think the pressure was on me because until then, I had been doing an awful lot of classical stuff - I was used to directing people in crinolines and long skirts.
"David Maloney had offered me an episode of Blake's 7 and I felt the writer Tanith Lee had done a great script, Sarcophagus, and I thought she was a writer who  could work beautifully on Doctor Who. I sent a copy of the completed tape to John, and he did try her but it didn't work out, but out of that came his offer to direct Castrovalva.
"Because it was the first story of a new Doctor, and because it was an area that I hadn't really worked in for so long, not having done a Doctor Who since 1972, that was quite a long period of time.
"The other thing was that by that point, in 1980, the cult that had developed around Doctor Who was underway, so you were quite aware of the mantle of Doctor Who by that time.
"It wasn't so much being the first story of a new Doctor, but the pressure, I felt, was on me coming back to it.
"Peter was absolutely terrific, a real joy to work with, and we kept the feeling of family on the show, which was extremely important as well.
"I thought at that stage, and at all the times I worked with him afterwards, that Peter would have made an excellent director. He had an eye for the right kind of things and knew what was right for the programme. I thought he might go behind the scenes, but instead he perfered to stay as a performer.
"He had been doing particularly well on All Creatures Great and Small, and he already had a big following, and I thought it was a brilliant piece of casting to take a younger man and make him the Doctor.
"Nowadays, it's far more common with the likes of David Tennant and Matt Smith as the Doctor, but back then it was very unusual to have a younger Doctor. Until then he had always been an older man, with Bill Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker.
"He showed it worked.
"I was very lucky with my scripts - it was nice to be able to delve into them.
"I actually got a letter from a man who had not allowed his children to watch Doctor Who, but for some reason he let them see Castrovalva and he jumped on to the fact we had featured the art of MC Escher. He found it so interesting that a children's programme like Doctor Who was looking at Escher.
"JNT (producer John Nathan-Turner) was always very good about casting his crew, as it were. He always good a good combination - he rated me as a director, but he wouldn't have put me onto something that had metal monsters - he worked to the strengths of the crew."
Fiona was back directing two stories in the show's 20th season, the first being Snakedance, which featured the TV debut of Martin Clunes. She laughed: "Doing Snakedance was lovely - I had been to Morocco and was very aware of the scenes we had in the souks, as I wanted to get the Moroccan feel for them.
"I was very lucky as John would give me carte blanche for casting, although he always kept an eye on things, but I was able to bring in people like Collette O'Neil and John Carson and leave them to do their thing as I've worked with them before and knew I can trust them, and that would leave me more time to spend with people like Jonathon Morris and Martin Clunes who were both working in television for the first time.
"I had found Martin just by flicking through the pages of The Spotlight. They used to have a dedicated to students who were just leaving their various courses, and I saw his face looking back at me. I knew the character of Lon would only work if you could equate him with being a spoiled brat who was totally self-centred, because of his extreme youth. You didn't want to dislike him, but he was totally objectionable! And Martin hit the spot, beautifully!
"The other performance I really liked was Brian Miller - I don't think I could have got anyone better."
Later that year, Fiona directed another story, Enlightenment
She said: "When I did Enlightenment, I think, at the time it was the only Doctor Who which had been written solely by a woman.
"I had originally cast Peter Sallis, but we lost him when we had to remount the story after a strike, and I brought in Keith Barron, who played it very differently.
"Peter arrived and asked, 'Where do I sit?' I told him he was the master of the ship so he would have to stand, but he said, 'No, I only do sitting parts!' I eventually convinced him the master of the ship was a standing part - but I think he was sending me up rotten!
"As a director, you have a company of actors you use regularly, and you develop a shorthand in terms of working, but if they've never done a telly before, they need to be led into it.
"When I did the remake of Enlightenment for DVD, I was able to take out what was the best in the original with the story, the acting and plot, and then go forward. I felt the model shots we had done back then really creaked and groaned to such an extent that I wanted to update them with computer graphics. I had the full box of tricks at my disposal, some 25 years on, and I was really pleased as I felt I was able to get the best out of it."
Fiona's next outing took the Doctor overseas for 1984's Planet of Fire, which was shot in Lanzarote. The location came about by chance after Fiona sent producer John Nathan-Turner a postcard from a family holiday.
"We were on holiday in Lanzarote and had the children with us. I sent JNT a postcard saying, 'Location fabulous, troglodytes willing - how about it?' I took some pictures without the children in them, just vistas, and out of that came Planet of Fire.
"In the heat, it was quite punishing, and we were trying to make sure everybody was drinking enough weather. It was not the most comfortable shoot!
"Poor Nicola (Bryant) was rolling down the jaggy rocks, and it was her first job straight out of drama school - I think she learned pretty quickly that it wasn't all glamour when you were making TV!
"But we all had a fantastic time - because we were there on a package deal, everyone was there together.
"On the days he wasn't filming, Peter Wyngarde would spread himself out on the beach, and I noticed he was always listening to music. I said to him one night, 'What's your choice of music?' He looked at me and asked what I meant. When I explained I'd seen him with his earphones on, he said: 'I'm not listening to anything - I just put the plugs in my ears so no-one disturbs me!' It's now something that I do myself if I'm on planes or whatever, if I don't want someone disturbing me.
"I went back and did a remake of Planet of Fire for the DVD release - it was interesting because I realised that they wouldn't let me into any of the areas which I'd previously worked on.
"We couldn't make it in the same way now, as the footpaths we had used back then were now just for the scientists working there.
"I liked being able to add volcanoes and fire to the long shots and to get rid of the music and just get the sound of the fire in - I appreciate it, but I think some of the fans didn't."

First Appearance: Hawk and Dove Vol 2  #1 (October, 1988)
Tumblr media
Powers
Danger Sense Transformation: When in the presence of danger, whether to herself or others, Dawn Granger can call out the word "Dove" and be transformed into her Dove form. She does not need to be aware of the danger for the transformation to take place, so if she happened to say the word while unknowingly being in danger, the transformation would take place. The transformation only reacts to actual danger, so if Dawn incorrectly believed that she was in danger she would be unable to transform into Dove. The transformation wears off a short time after the danger has passed, unless Dove has received serious injuries which would kill Dawn, in which case she would remain as Dove until the danger from the injuries has passed. On high magic worlds she can remain as Dove for extended periods regardless of whether there is any danger present.
Hyper-Vigilant: As Dove her natural aptitudes are enhanced, such as her ability as a good judge of people and situations allowing her to read people and objects in a situation, within seconds, and know how they will act and react.
Flight: The transformation changes Granger into a minor force of Order and she gains some brilliant avian physical characteristics, which are usually hidden under her costume.
Superhuman Agility: Dove can dodge almost indefinitely, multiple times from multiple sources of action. She's dodged punches, swords, bullets and more multiple times.
Enhanced Durability
Concentrated Radiance: On high magic worlds her powers are enhanced, she can concentrate her radiance into a blinding beam of light. Likewise, during the Blackest Night, Dove was able to channel the White Light of Creation to destroy Black Lanterns with her aura.

Origin
During the Crisis, Dawn Granger was in London with her mother. Her mother, a diplomatic courier, was at the American embassy when terrorists took it over, and threatened to blow it up. Unable to get help from the police, who were too busy with the panic caused by the Crisis, Dawn was contacted by voices that offered her the power to deal with the problem herself. She agreed, was transformed into Dove, and easily subdued the terrorists.
While she initially assumed she was one of a number of Doves, she later learned that the other Dove had died during the Crisis, and was concerned that he had died because she had taken his power. She traveled to the memorial service for the fallen heroes, where she managed to identify Hawk in his civilian identity, and followed him to try and discover who he was. She followed him for a while, seeing him become increasingly unstable, but lost him when she had to go into action as Dove.
Tumblr media
Hawk and Dove
She eventually tracked him down in Washington, where both she and Hank Hall, were students at the Georgetown University. She deduced that the original Dove had been Hank's brother Don. While Dawn became part of Hank's circle of friends, Dove approached Hawk, although he was aggressively opposed to working with her. She helped him against Kestrel, an agent of the Lords of Chaos, who was trying to turn the increasingly erratic Hawk into their agent before the new Dove could act as a calming agent. Dove managed to calm Hawk down before he was completely transformed, and the Lords of Chaos, disappointed by this, destroyed Kestrel for his failure. Hawk accepted Dove as his new partner.
They took part in the resistance to the Invasion, where Dove first came into contact with other members of the superhuman community, then settled down to fighting crime mainly in the Washington area, where they fought such foes as Gauntlet, Azure, the Untouchables, Shellshock, Copperhead, Sudden Death, the Madmen, Velvet Tiger, and the Female Furies. She also began a relationship with Detective Brian Arsalla, head of the Washington Special Crimes Unit, both as Dove and as Dawn.
They were contacted by Barter, a very old trader, who offered them the identities of the mystic benefactors, if they would retrieve an old bible for them. They acquired it, from the Count St. Germaine, an old adversary of Barters, and he met his side of the bargain, by giving them the names of their benefactors, Terataya and T'Charr, Lords of Order and Chaos, respectively. When asked for more information, Barter insisted that a further service would be required for the additional information, and they declined.
Kestrel was recreated, and managed to gain possession of Hanks girlfriend Ren, in which it attacked Hawk and Dove, before traveling to another dimension, challenging them to follow. They contacted Barter, who agreed to arrange passage in exchange for the True name of the dimension, which Kestrel had told them. When they arrived on Druspa Tau, Hawk and Dove found their powers increased by the greater amount of magic on the plane, and that their costumes could now be removed. Doves form is faintly avian, constantly emitting a calming light. Dove joined the forces of Order, who peacefully ruled the world, while Hawk was convinced to join the forces of Chaos, led by the Lord of Chaos M'Shulla, who were seeking to overthrow Order. The two came into conflict, and battled to a standstill as the forces of Chaos overthrew the existing Order. T'Chaar and Terataya, who had been worshiped on this world, before M'Shulla had used magic to obscure the residents memory of their names, were eventually summoned, and fought M'Shulla. M'Shulla won, and T'Chaar and Terataya retreated to a nearby cave to die, summoning Hawk and Dove to them.
T'Chaar had been a Lord of Chaos, and Terataya a Lord of Order, who had fallen in love and become outcasts from both their houses. They had combined into a unity, to prove the potential of Order and Chaos working together. Their creation of Hawk and Dove had been a part of this experiment, which was to result in a child, who would be extremely powerful, a child of both Order and Chaos. As they died, T'Chaar and Terataya transferred their essences into Hawk and Dove, making the spells that empowered them permanent, and increasing their powers.
Responding to a mysterious message that her father was in trouble, Dove, along with Hawk and other former members of Titans West, went to his S.T.A.R. Labs workplace, and discovered that researchers had opened a portal to a Limbo where dead souls waited before going to the hereafter, and that they had lost a research team inside it. The group went in, and discovered a group of dead villains, including the Iron Major, the Top, and the Icicle, trying to escape. With the help of the reformed Icicle, and General Jeb Stuart, they stopped the villains. Before leaving, Hawk had considered trying to find his brother, and return him to life, but had been convinced that Don was in a better place, and had left nothing undone that he would need to come back for.
Hank was contacted by someone he was convinced was his dead brother, asking his help to return. Hawk agreed, and followed the instructions of his "brother", even stealing a gemstone from a museum, and abducting an already dead body from an accident, that of a family friend, Senator Tommy O'Neill. When the ceremony was completed, he discovered that the soul brought back from the dead was that of Roscoe Dillon, The Top, who claimed to the police that Hawk had tried to kill him. Realizing his mistake, Hawk went after O'Neill again, only to be stopped by Dove and Uncle Sam. While Uncle Sam convinced O'Neill to give up his seat in the Senate, Hawk gave himself up to the police. He was released to his parents custody until trial, and barred from becoming Hawk.
Tumblr media
Monarch
Shortly before this, they had been visited by the being known as Waverider, and had sensed him reading their futures, although they could not see him or view the futures he saw. He had come from a future time, where the world was under the domination of the hero-turned-dictator Monarch. Waverider had the abilities to travel through time, and to read the futures of others. When reading the futures of Hawk and Dove, he found that in all their futures he could see, they ended up opposing Monarch, and they were the only one so scanned that did survive to oppose him.
Before Hawks trial could take place, while she was camping with Det. Arsalla, both she and Hawk were abducted by Monarch, who had traveled back from the future following Waverider, and Arsalla was killed during her abduction. Monarch seemingly executed Dove, and revealed himself to be an older Hank Hall. The younger Hank slew the older, took his armor, and became Monarch.
Dove had not actually been killed by Monarch. Mordru had used his magic to make it appear as though she had died. Mordru, a being of energy, needed a body capable of handling the powers of both Order and Chaos, so he drove Hank insane, turned him into Extant, then possessed him, and got Dove pregnant. Before Mordru could inhabit the body of their child however, the soul of Hector Hall was drawn to it. Mordru disguised Dove as the comatose Lyta Hall, in an attempt to weaken Hector's psyche, and she was only awakened from this as Mordru gained control of the body again. She helped the JSA defeat Mordru, allowing Hector to regain control of the body, then departed, claiming that there was a new Hawk out there that she needed to find.
Tumblr media
Teen Titans
After reuniting with her estranged sister Holly, they became the new Hawk and Dove. Soon after, they helped the Teen Titans take down Dr. Light.
Later on, Cyborg formed a new team of Titans with Hawk and Dove on the roster. They were almost immediately attacked by an unknown assailant, and all were gravely injured. However, Hawk and Dove both made full recoveries.
Tumblr media
Blackest Night
When Nekron attacked and the dead began rising from the grave, Dove's old partner, Hank, returned to life as a zombie.  While he could not hurt Dove, he did manage to kill Holly. Dove later found that she was able to emit a mysterious white light from her body that could hurt Nekron's ring-wielders. She went on to be a great asset in taking down Nekron's followers. When Nekron was finally defeated, and the White Light was safe, a small group of heroes and villains were returned to life. Among that group was Hank Hall, who took back up the mantle of Hawk in place of Dawn's sister, Holly.
Since Hank's return from the dead, he has been really aggressive, even for him. This has lead Dove to grow increasingly concerned for him.
Some time later, Dove and Hawk joined the heroes of Gotham to fight off the Seven Men of Death and they kept them away from getting to their target, Vicki Vale.
Tumblr media
Fun Facts
It is unknown how close to the danger she needs to be to transform.
The costume is normally irremovable while on Earth, but if it receives sufficient damage, it can tear and reveal part of her true form, which shines with the light of order, emitting a constant golden glow.

DEATH OF A SALESMAN is a play written by Arthur Miller. It was the recipient of the 1949 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The play tells of the life and decline of salesman Willy Loman, his wife Linda, and his two adult sons, Happy and Biff. The play incorporates flashbacks and ghost characters.
The play premiered on Broadway in February 1949, running for 742 performances, and winning a Tony Award for Best Play. It has been revived on Broadway four times:
1975 starring George C. Scott
1984 starring Dustin Hoffman
1999 starring Brian Dennehy (see below)
2012 starring Philip Seymour Hoffman
It also premiered in London in 1949 starring Paul Muni.  There was a London revival in 1979 starring Warren Mitchell, and another revival in 1996 starring Alun Armstrong.
In 1951 a film version was nominated for several Oscars. The play was adapted for television in:
1957 (UK TV) starring Albert Dekker
1958 (Canadian TV) starring Albert Dekker
1966 starring Lee J. Cobb
1966 (UK TV) starring Rod Steiger
1985 starring Dustin Hoffman, based on a Broadway revival
1996 starring Warren Mitchell
2000 starring Brian Dennehy, based on a Broadway revival
The play is in constant production by educational, regional, and community venues worldwide.  It is considered to be one of the greatest plays of the 20th century.

After a run at Chicago's Goodman Theatre, DEATH OF A SALESMAN began performances at Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre on January 22, 1999 and ran for a total of 274 regular performances and 22 previews.  It was directed by Robert Falls, and starred Robert Dennehy (Willy), Elizabeth Franz (Linda), Kevin Anderson (Biff), Ted Koch (Happy), Richard Thompson (Bernard), Howard Witt (Charley), Allen Hamilton (Uncle Ben), Steve Pickering (Howard), Ken Klineman (Stanley), Stephanie March (Miss Forsythe), Chelsea Altman (Letta), Kate Buddeke (Woman), and Barbara Eda-Young (Secretary).  The production won four 1999 Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Play, Falls' direction and acting honors for Dennehy and Franz.  The play, Dennehy and Kevin Anderson also won 1999 Drama Desk Awards.

I have to concur that DEATH OF A SALESMAN is one of the greatest plays of the 20th century.  I would venture to see THE greatest American play ever.  It was certainly the pinnacle of Miller's career.  While I respect this work immensely, I can't say I really enjoy it – or ever look forward to seeing it. Except, that is, when it starred one of my personal favorite actors, Elizabeth Franz.  As Willy's put upon wife Linda, Franz was amazing.  “Attention must be paid!” she says as she keens at her husband's grave.  And attention was duly paid when Franz won the 1999 Tony for her work. Although I haven't seen or heard much from her lately, she remains an all-time favorite actor.

The year before this revival came to Broadway from the Windy City, Paper Mill had also produced SALESMAN, starring John Waite (“The Waltons”).  It was a workman-like production, but sturdy enough for a regional staging.  It didn't hold a candle, however, to the powerhouse of Falls' production.  A few years later, Kevin Anderson came to the Mill to star as Dr. John in Summer and Smoke, by Tennessee Williams, another of America's greatest playwrights. Although Paper Mill excelled in musical theatre, once in a while we dabbled in the classics and I (for one) am better for it.
