@ Volestar & Smokyslip: do you mind explaining how exactly Moonpaw throwing himself at a fox is supposed to be making him stronger??? Because all it really seems to do is lead to him getting hurt. Also, jesus fuckin christ, is anyone on this poor kid's side??? Volestar doesn't give a shit about him, Smokyslip straight up hates him and Brushrunner treats him like a second-class citizen in his own home. At least Downydapple seems to be looking out for him and Budpelt shows he actually cares about Moonpaw.

I mean like… why are Smokyslip and Brushrunner LIKE that??? What’s Smoky’s problem with Moonpaw?? also none of this is dissuading any fear I have that Volestar has Moonpaw’s best interest in mind. Actually I’m like nearly convinced only Downydapple has his best interests in mind

does downydapple know about moonpaw's mentor's treatment? does anyone know, or have none of them picked up on it? i'm assuming this isn't a clan where it's a socially acceptable norm for mentors to send their apprentices on practically suicide runs in order to "train them right", otherwise maybe Moonpaw has a point in not asking Volestar to switch his mentor after all

also... i'm gonna assume that moonpaw being held back is because of smokyslip refusing to let him graduate because... i dunno. he hates moonpaw or something??? what's his and Brushrunner's issues, anyway

Dunno how to answer this one in character, so… yes, Downydapple is aware of Moonpaw’s problems, as seen in this page. I dunno who you’re referring to with “what’s his and Brushrunner’s issues” so I’ll point to you to some of the other asks I’ve answered about Brushrunner.
