Gotham VS Elora : mothers downfall.

Nightwing glared at the assassin. The man had grey hair and blue eyes. The man was dragging Claudia by her hair. A knife to her throat.

"wasn't aware this would be a 2 treat" the man said in a monotone voice.

"treat?" Nightwing smirked tauntingly. "I am a whole ass meal. Also not really a big fan of how you are holding Miss. Lavender"

The man rolled his eyes "don't act dumb. I know you two are quite a pair. I usually don't like taking other people's gimmicks but I must say. Killing a couple would be a delight for miss Stella" the man said, voice and face still not showing any emotions. Nightwing started to sweat a little. Any movement and the guy will kill Claudia.

Claudia looked half dazed. The man obviously drugged her some moments prior.

"Wilder!" her heard a familar person yelled out. Christel and Batman entered threw the window.

The man, now identified as someone named Wilder looked at Christel "lady christeline, long time no see"

Christel didn't reply to his greeting she only yelled at him to release Claudia.

The man rolled his eyes "say how are Joseph and the other's?" the man asked, his face finally showing an emotion. A very dark emotion. "I wasn't aware you could steal my children" the man stated.

Christel snapped her fingers waiting for a few moments but nothing happened. She looked at claudia confused. "before you try your black magic. Lady Penelope gave me a boast the helps your magic not being able to touch me or take things away from me"

He pressing the knife against Claudia's neck drawing blood. Nightwing and Christel growled. "thus, I can kill her without you Teleporting her away from me. Your magic is useless right now"

"Joseph and the others agreed to help me defeat Elora. I haven't stolen them from you! " Christel yelled out "it is your fault your children left you to destroy Elora!"

The man bite his bottom lips. "lady Penelope was right. You truly have turned into a siren!!" the man yelled out. He motioned himself to stab caludia but batman came from behind him and knocked him away from Claudia. Nightwing quickly took her in his arms. Christel ran besides her.

"Claudia?" she whispered. Claudia was still dazed. Nightwing rocked her body.

"you are safe now." nightwing stated as he looked at batman fighting wilder. Claudia looked at Christel before she shook her head. Almost saying that she wasn't safe. Christel raised her eyebrows

"what?" she asked.

Everyone heard a loud noise of glass breaking. They turned towards the fight. Wilder was gone. He escaped. Batman growled.

"batman?" nightwing asked. Batman nodded telling them he was okay. Batman came closer to them. Claudia looked pale.

"poisoned, she is poisoned" batman stated. Christel bite her lip. Nightwing pulled her closer

"antidote. Is there an anti-dote?" nightwing asked. Batman took out a needle and poked Claudia. Taking out some blood.

"we need to rush her to the batcave." batman instructed. Both Christel and nightwing nodded. Nightwing picked Claudia up taking her into the batmobile.

The ride to the batcave was fast. To fast. As if batman knew Claudia would die any second. Christel shook out that thought. No Claudia can't die.

Wilder was a top assassin in the Elora empire. He and his children were a major force in the empires fighters. But Joseph, wilder's son and some of their Soilders took Christel's side and betrayed Elora. Wilder must have seen that as a personal jab. Thus he personally attacked Claudia. Someone Christel sees as a mother.

'you take my children, I will take your mother' that was his message.

"she will be fine" nightwing said. Being the voice of hope. Christel looked at him. He took his mask off as soon as the they reached the cave.

Carrying her onto the bed. Nightwing gave her a hopeful smile. Christel nodded, Tim entered the room. Starting to examine the type of poison.

Minutes felt like hours. Until.

"we can't do anything" Tim stated almost horrified. Dick glared at the screen.

"there has to be an antidote!" he yelled out. Tim shook his head almost scared. "this isn't a normal poison. It is almost like a death curse. A mixture between science and magic."

Tim looked at nightwing... Now Dick Grayson and Christel "she only has some minutes to live.."

Christel didn't waste any time. She raced into Claudia's room. Claudia was awake. She was glancing at the big coin. She looked peaceful. Christel sobbed, getting her attention.

"now now, why are you crying?" Claudia whispered. Her voice was raspy but still filled with warmth. Christel tried to say something but couldn't. She only hugged her tight.

Claudia shook her head fondly. "it's okay, I accept my death. Plus you are the goddess who would accept my soul. I would be happy to see that world" Claudia smiled. Christel cried harder. Not being able to speak.

The noise of the grandfather clock suddenly felt loud to Christel.

Two strong arms came from behind. It was Dick, he hugged both of them. Pulling them closer. Not speaking either. He quietly planted a kiss on Claudia's head.

The clock clicked. Ding.

Caludia smiled as she whispered "I love you" to him. Dick just gave a small smiled "I know, love you more."

The clock clicked again. Dong.

Caludia reached out and cupped Christel's cheeks "don't you dare blame yourself for this. Okay?" she stated. Christel nodded still crying. Caludia smiled.

The clock clicked. Ding.

Claudia closed her eyes. Putting her whole weight onto the man she loved.

The clock reached it's destination. Dong.

Caludia took her final breath.

Christel yelled into Dick arms as Dick hugged both her and Claudia's now corpse closer to him.

Damian raced into the cave, Eyes widening at the scene. Batman now Bruce put his hand up.

"let them mourn her together... They need it" Bruce stated.

"disease" could be cut with tommy in the begins era, and bucks relationship disappoints .... the disease is abandonment issues/self loathing/internalized homophobia

i mean, just take a look at these lyrics plus the synth pop industrial lite vibe of the music ... very potent, makes me think of the sound all their gear makes.

actual legit bio for alledrea bc she never got to get one in canon

-her parents died of the disease when she was just a baby. afterwards, she grew up by only the help of some connections for schooling, but lived in an orphanage with other children who became like a family to her. especially one younger child named loisie, who thought of her as a big sister. as such, alledrea was protective of her new little sister, and absolutely horrorstruck upon the news that loisie had contracted the same disease that killed her parents

-abt this time alledrea became employed as an assistant accountant at the medical group that has the antidote/medicine for the disease, but prices started to go up and she soon found out those making it had no intention of giving it to anyone without forcing them into a life of servitude and debt, no matter how rich or poor or whatever they were.

-so alledrea did the only thing an impressionable teenager with a strong and idealistic sense of justice would- she became a “phantom thief” like the ones she admired in her favorite old animes. taking some of the medicine during the day and her work, she’d later pose as stealing it in her disguised version, and due to her usual apathy towards the newcomer “lightning kaito” she never was suspected of the secret identity.

-personalitywise is a loud, excitable, good natured dork. a massive nerd of fantastical stories, but like the least elitist person. she aspires to be her own hero, the sort that smiles and has a good time, and doesnt hurt others if she can help it. despite this shes probably chaotic neutral? like ana i guess. kind of a nerd for famous thieves, and being compared to them shed probably fangirl quite a bit. loves her little siblings at the orphanage and dotes on them, she’d advise against them joining her but if they really wanted it she wouldnt try to make them stop.
