A/n: This was written for @seirenspinel happy birthday and hope you have/had a great day
[the day before your birthday]
Cyno walked towards the small, pink-haired lady. “I need your advice.”
Dori glanced at him- it wasn't often that Cyno would come to her- after all, he would usually be looking for an opportunity to arrest her for selling at such high prices.
“What do you need? I can provide you with anything- I have every single object and gimmick you could possibly imagine and it could be yours for a price of course~”
Cyno placed some mora on Dori’s outstretched hand. “I need your help picking a gift.”
Dori raised an eyebrow “and who might this gift be for?”
“It’s for y/n. It’s their birthday soon and I don't know what to get them.”
Dori opened the curtain to her area of items, pointing at each thing as she said them.”
“I have many things in my sweet little shop- perhaps a book? Or a gadget? Or maybe this bouquet of everlasting flowers-that one was hard to get- I’ve got this plume with ink- you can choose the colours- or maybe this blanket- just press this button and it heats itself, a painting? new glider skins or this hair accessory- it comes in a match and I could give you 2 for the price of one- that is of course if you purchase more than 4 items today~”
Cyno paused her. “I think I would like the matching accessory.”
“That’s 2 million mora- although get something else and we can maybe strike a deal?”
Cyno didn't say a word as he placed the money in her hand.
Dori gasped surprised- she thought no one would accept such an absurd price.
“Oh, Cyno how absolutely-”
“Don’t say a word.”
He walked away.
“thank you for purchasing Dori’s grand boutique hope you’ll be a returning customer to my store!”
He had already left.
Cyno looked at the small accessories he had purchased- they were gold with a small accent of red - a gem in the middle. on the back was an imprint of Egyptian hieroglyphics. He thought you would love it.

[day of your birthday]
You woke up to Cyno’s voice next to you, his voice whispering in your ear.
“happy birthday”
You opened your eyes and saw a huge plate of  food cooked by Cyno in a tray with streaming tea and sweet biscuits, creamy milk, fluffy pancakes, perfect waffles and warm fried eggs. Your favourite things.
Your eyes seemed to glow as you took in the food in front of you- it looked delicious as you sat up from bed, your stomach grumbled and with that signal you began to eat.
The food was exquisite- Cyno had cooked everything perfectly and to your liking and as you finished you stopped to look at him.
“It was absolutely delectable, my love.”
you couldn't help and kiss him as he closed your eyes and took you in. You opened your eyes closing off the kiss as you leaned back a little.
“Before we continue with this day I would like to give you my present.”
Cyno reached out from his cloak and pulled out a small gift- it was wrapped neatly, with a gold ribbon tied in a bow and white and blue dotted wrapping paper.
You took the gift from him and unwrapped it slowly, opening the box and revealing to yourself a small piece of jewellery- gold and carved with symbols. You felt it slowly against your fingers, reflecting the red jewel in the light as it glimmered.
“I love it. Thank you Cyno.”
You kissed him on the cheek- showing him your gratitude - your face flushing red and beaming.
“I'm glad you liked the gift. I have a matching one too.”
he pulled another one out of his cloak- it shined ethereally against yours in the daylight. He placed it back in his cloak.
“Today is a day all for you- tell me when you’re ready and we’ll go out.”
Cyno closed the door behind him and walked back down the stairs. He wanted today to be perfect and memorable for you. He quickly got to cleaning the plates and dishes not want you to worry about cleaning up on your special day. He dusted the table and floors, loaded the dishwasher with plates and placed some new cups and plates on the table.
By the time he was done cleaning, you were ready. You had gotten dressed for the day and were ready to go out. You slipped on your shoes and waited by the door as Cyno quickly came after you.
You opened the door surprised to see an array of faces and friends you knew. Collei, Tighnari and Candace stood by the door.
“Happy birthday!”
Collei smiled as she handed you a present “I - I made it so myself by the way I hope you like it.”
You took it from her, unwrapping it in front of her shimmering eyes- you unfolded the gift revealing an amazingly crocheted scarf- it was beige and green- with zigzags of blue and purple. It felt warm and soft against your hands- and expertly done too.
“I made it myself.”
you gasped marvelling at the beauty of the scarf, immediately wrapping it around your neck- the winds wouldn’t slap against your face anymore.
Candace glanced at you “I and the others have a surprise for you… come follow us.”
You nodded- stepping out of the door properly this time with Cyno by your side, his warm hand held in yours as you walked beside him and your friends. Collei’s face shined in warmth and happiness, whilst a small smile lay on Candace's. Tighnari walked beside Cyno catching him up on the latest stuff in his work- it had been a while since these two had spoken last.
You all walked for a while and after a good half, an hour of chatting, talking, smiling and laughing you finally arrived at the place your friends had brought you.
You heard Cyno’s voice whispering in your ears as he covered your eyes.
“Now close your eyes.”
You heard a woosh along with movement and the sound of footsteps quickly walking around you.
“You may open them now”
Cyno took away his hands from your face and stepped back. You opened your eyes slowly.
In front of you was a picnic blanket with an assortment of food and treats- your friends sat there waiting expectantly for you to come over.
“Candace and Tighnari did the food- we hope you like it.”
You gleamed looking at the food in front of you, an assortment of pastries, fruits and sandwiches lay in front of you. Cyno pulled you towards the food, as you sat down and he placed himself next to you.
“Happy birthday y/n” you and your friends began to eat. Sitting there together on a lovely sunny day. The sun smiled upon you without a cloud in sight, the wind was gentle and soft- flowing around you as if it were dancing, the sand on the floor picked itself up and moved smoothly, and the friends in front of you giggled and beamed in the pulchritudinous day.

The time came when the sun set behind the clouds and day became night- the warmth of the early afternoon soon changed to a colder and harsher breeze. The time came when your friends had to go and take their journey home. And as you packed away their picnic blanket and food you waved goodbye to your friends- as they told you one last happy birthday and left.
You walked home with Cyno- his hand linked in yours- feeling the sand roll on your feet and the small animals of the night buzzing in the air. The wind was now cold and gusty in the evening air as the stars had begun to appear.
You opened the door to your home as you took off your shoes and collapsed on the sofa.
The day had been long and tiring- but fun and one you would never forget.
Cyno came to sit next to you, stroking your cheeks as he held your hand in his.
“Is there anything else you wish for tonight?”
Cyno glanced towards you-ready to fulfil any need you could have.
“Well…..” you glanced cheekily towards him, standing up from the sofa- all the energy seemed to have returned to life in your body, you pulled Cyno off the sofa making him stand.
You took a microphone out from behind you and gave it to Cyno, placing it in his hand he had no time to think as the music came flowing out of the speaker….
….And that’s how the two of you got to singing Karaoke that night. No matter how terrible or wonderful the two of you singing was you had to admit that it was a blast. You played through at least five songs until you sunk back onto the sofa once again. You were absolutely drained.
Cyno leaned towards you, brushing his lips against your cheeks.
“Happy birthday. I hope you had a wonderful day.”
