I brainrotted an Ultrakill au during last week, and it was this one:

Hell is sentient, like you and me. And it's bored. So, to entertain itself, Hell decided to choose ten strong-willed humans, and "blessed" them w/ demonic powers, similar to Minos' or Sisyphus. This humans are the Supreme Humans (or Greater Humans), remnants of Humanity. And now, two of them went down, into Hell, to uncover the past, and restore the glory of the Human race.

Headcanon: The Doom Marine (and Demon) Figures

In Doom 2016, one of the collectable items is a series of secret figurines of the Doom Marine with various color schemes. Pertaining to this blog's take on Doom Slayer's psyche as mentioned in a previous headcanon post, these figures largely do not exist for the purposes of this blog.

For this blog, these different figures represent various versions of himself from other timelines and dimensions as part of him trying to remember who he is. Because of this Doom Slayer's... multiversal nature, we'll call it, these are the many different ways that he sees himself, with the fist bump toward the "DoomGuy" figure being the closest representation of who he is, who he was, and/or who he wants to be. This is also why, after initial collection, we never see the figurines themselves within the context of the world again(with them being stuck as viewable concept art and 3D models in the menus, as opposed to the figures in Eternal which are on a shelf).

In Doom: Eternal, the figures do not share the same meaning. Instead, these figures are simply just that; figurines. While no in-universe explanation is given, for the purposes of this blog, they are simply collectible figurines that were put into production by a toy company's off-world factory.

The demons had left that world largely untouched for some time, allowing the company the freedom to purchase the rights to research materials provided by the UAC, giving them the best opportunity of capitalizing on the "Demon Acceptance" campaigns being run at the time.

Because of this timeline of events however, the Doom Slayer figure was made near the end of the production run of the figures, as that was around the time that he started coming back into the public eye after the events of Doom 2016. This explains why the figure in Doom: Eternal would represent his custom suit as opposed to the Praetor Armor from 2016.

However, the company would quickly find itself under fire when trying to cash in with Doom Slayer figures; with those figures proving to be much more popular than the Demon figures (for obvious reasons), mass adoption of these figures became symbols of resistance in some ways, leading to the company going under as a result of a demonic invasion of the off-world production facility.

I got into retro FPSes this year and as a result came up with a concept for a retro inspired FPS game! There's only a couple characters in there but I'll focus on Jules. Ey're a former scientist whose old workplace was destroyed by one of the experiments ey worked on. Ey escaped and tried living off the grid until being found and brought back there. Now ey have to fight eir way through hordes of monsters while also equipped with a watch that can turn back time. Eir personality is similar to Doomguy's in the sense that ey're like "Well. Guess I have no choice but to shoot my way through these hordes of monsters" but there are layers that aren't apparent in the first playthrough

What games does this blog contain?

For now, it contains Doom, Metroid, Halo, Half Life, Dead Space, Atomic Heart, Postal, Duke Nukem, and Wolfenstein. Depending on how I feel/my ever-expanding, autistic interests, this list will expand accordingly.

Do you ship any characters?

Yes, as of this time solely Samus and Doomguy. If you dont like it you can block the tag, as I'll tag them accordingly.

But Master Chief isn't transfem! Gordon Freeman isn't Black! etc.

Yes, in canon this is true. Media is meant to be interpreted though and I have fun with it on my end. If you dont like things like that, this blog isn't for you. Sorry bud.

Don't you know Atomic Heart is Anti-Ukraine Propaganda?

From where I stand, I don't think it is. I say first and foremost, I 100% support Ukraine and I havn't actually bought the game, I got it off of gamepass. But due to the concepts and actual development of the game starting years ago (concepts go back to as far as 2008 if you look hard enough), from my opinion I don't believe the game has Communist propaganda. I do not support Russia in any way right now, I just want to like my silly, stupid game. I want to get that out of the way in case I get any asks about it, although I don't know if that controversy is still on-going.

BFP 9000

Well, I`m a big fan of DOOM games, and I always loved the good old BFG 9000 gun, so here`s one more of my oldies, that`s one of my first gun designs ever, so please do not judge strictly, I decided to re imagine a BFG in to BFP, i call this wild toaster a BFP 9000 (I hope DOOM fans will get it why) 🤣🤣🤣

Any way, that is not something you could carry around in your pocket though... 😀😀😀 It was fun to create it, hope it's fun to see it 😊😄✌️

Something that some people recall is how Eternal had a different version of the Slayer's armor, in which the helmet was gray/white instead of green.

I always thought Doomguy having a gray/white helmet to contrast the green armor is more ideal and not just because of Master Chief comparions.

It's probably because of how people view "brand identity" in some iconic/popular characters.

Something i remember seeing once is a recreation of various pop culture characters in Lego but as sets of bricks of specific colors.

And it made me think "if Doomguy was recreated like that, a gray/white part for the helmet would be ideal".

One can also point out how Chief has an orange/yellow visor, though.
