My Story <3

Hey yall so I never really talk about my personal life on here but i feel like I owe everyone an explanation.

Within the past two years I have recovered from SH, and an attempted suicide, it was half ass but it was still an attempt. I was playing fast and loose with my life because I thought there was nothing left of it. I hated myself and how I looked, How I always felt so depressed the way my relationships with friends and family always seemed to fall apart but most of all I hated myself.

Im not sure exactly when it happened but about one year ago I met someone. She had similar interests as me and understood me on a personal level and even though we had lived completely different experiences she was there for me. We started talking more and more and I found out she lived Hours away from me in a completely different country, but I accepted our distance and created our connection. She helped me see that my life was very much so worth living. This girl was harley @dwntwn-strnlo

About four months later the only friends I was talking with in person blew up on me with fake excuses about why we shouldnt be friends, one had stolen some of my clothes as well as some of my money. It hurt more not because they left me but because I trusted them and they betrayed me, They left me out to dry and I reconnected with an old friend from middle school, M.

M helped me to realize that my emotional connection to people isnt a downfall but my strong suit. My intense passion love and energy I give to the world only makes me more beautiful not more weak.

Then M introduced me to S. And S is the most kind and gentle and loving people ive ever met. She reflected me in every sense of my love for others. S helped me to realize that just because someone else doesnt agree doesnt mean I cant formulate and stand up for my own opinions.

The three of us became very close and talked nearly everyday. Im not sure exactly when or why, but one day I decided to pull out my phone and film one of our lunches. Me,M and S all really hit it off we loved being in front of the camera and it almost just felt like the camera wasnt even there.

So we kept filming and that night I went home to edit our very first video and I posted it on an old youtube channel. I touched it up and added pretty colours and tried to make it more asethetic and I stayed up all night working on that first video.

And it got 13 views. And a hate comment. And then youtube took it down. But we didnt care. We kept hussling and we never stopped filming and i havent lost passion in the past half year weve been filming, I even branched off to start my own youtube channel because I love it so much.

I know I dont share much with you all and you dont even know my name, but I felt that where I was today was something i needed to share. My group doesnt have very many subscribers and im okay with that as long as it means I get to keep doing something I love.

so unfortunately I have been putting a lot less time and a LOT less effort into my writing. Im in my senior year of highschool and its all or nothing. I really want to do youtube as a career but i understand the sucsess rate is low, I have a backup plan but ill never be as happy as I am when im in front of the camera filming one of our youtube videos.

So I wanted to apologize to those of you who have been waiting for me to post but its very unlikely that i will be posting many or frequent fics anymore im not saying Im stopping im just slowing down. Its been a rough couple of years but ive finally found something I can pour my heart into. I hope yall understand I love yall so much seriously youve given me so much support<3

This is going to be a "test round" to see if my old prices can still keep up with the risen costs of living here since the last time I did these. For the Sketch Portrait and Headshot Portrait you can choose two cel-shading styles:

Photoshop - just a style example, I do these in Photoshop with a clean, fine lineart brush, so the lines are gonna be very crisp and sharp.

Procreate - just a style example, I work in Procreate with a textured brush that makes lines and shadows/shading a bit more sketchy or grainy-looking. Edges and details are sketchier and softer.

The Pride OCs I'm traditionally always doing in Procreate xD

This round of commission is open for OC Portraits - your own or your friends' original characters - and I'd preferrably work on Cyberpunk 2077 or DnD/tabletop characters :3 But all other fandoms I've drawn for before, as well as ones I don't know yet, are obviously welcome too! Commission - Coloring Services?

Considering opening up commissions which would include coloring services! Im not the greatest but I do have fun doing so! It would probably be a low starting price and a ‘’pay what you want/what you think its worth’’ to see what people think I should charge. Im not used to get commissions so it’ll be mostly a test in a way. I cant draw everything obviously but I am happy to at least try! Even if I am canadian, prices will be in USD. Let me know if you’d be interested! Or at least interested in seeing more of my art as references of course! I do plan on making a sheet but I want to see if there is some interest first! Until then feel free to send me asks/art requests as it will help me improve and show my skills ’’Why open commissions if youre just going to take free art requests?’’ I see commissions as a way to have something more custom/unique to the person. hi you are not my therapist or advice giver so you don't have to answer this if you don't want to, but i look up to you a lot because of your dedication to fawful!

i have autism (i prefer person-first language sorry ik it's not the universal usage :() too and an incredibly niche/random character has been my special interest for quite a few years now, i dont own merch of her or anything since it's so random and i feel embarrassed about it. i eat up the same few pieces of art every single time,, a 2010 deviantart post where she's in the background? EATING. IT. UP. 😭 how did you let those feelings of shame go (if you ever had them)? idk i don't think it's cringe when other people do it but i just think if any of my friends found out they'd be like wth... i don't really know what i'm trying to say but i guess i wonder if you have any tips on how to make the most of your special interest :) fawful is a cool villain (sorry not insinuating he's evil/bad, just his role in the game) so your interest makes way more sense than mine but you are super dedicated so i think you have some cool guru knowledge about this sorta thing :')

Well, first things first... thank you so much for the kind words!! It's really heartwarming to hear that anyone views me in this manner qwq - I appreciate you telling me bc it really means a lot to me!

But I guess I'd like to say the first piece of advice I have for you is to not see your interest as any lesser than mine or anyone else's just because the character only shows up for a little bit or barely at all. Focus on the joy YOU get from your guy/gal and don't worry about how silly or ridiculous it may appear in the eyes of others.

Another thing I'd say would be to take criticism and people's lack of understanding in stride. I hesitate to say "expect criticism/hate" but at the same time I do think it's a good idea to prepare yourself for it. I think if the idea of receiving negativity from others makes you lose all motivation and confidence in yourself and this character you have feelings for, then it may not be the wisest thing to put it in a public place (like the internet) for the time being.

Having a public presence with this sort of thing isn't for everyone and I think it's perfectly okay and valid when it's not. It doesn't make you or your feelings and less real for it.

PS. regarding the merch: please remember that I caused 99% of the stuff in my room to come into being myself! Fawful doesn't have any official merch outside of a few promotional items with his official render on it from 2009. My entire room is stuff I wanted to have and to see and so I went out there with some dollars in my pocket (and super talented friends, heyooo) & made it happen. (Point being: YOU HAVE THE POWER.) I only haven't added more to it in a while bc I'm broke lmao

My dig (I have only been on one so far, a field school dig and internship that got me le certificate) was on the property of a house constructed between 1800 and 1810. Boss had to teach us what to do if we found any native american artifacts which was basically stop everything immediately, contact the local rep for either the organization you work for or something super similar to it, and essentially the dig would be over.

Also I really wanted to be a museum curator too! I've had to accept over the past few years that chronic illness means I'll never be able to hold a typical job, but I still love love love it. I was going to get a PhD in mineralogy and specialize in that kind if curation, but now sinking all that time and money when I will be unemployed sounds like a bad idea. Seeing someone else living my dream even if it isnt the same field and getting to hear about it is so heartwarming.

I’m very happy that you’ve found my anthropology/archaeology posts enjoyable to read. Sometimes there’s rambling, other times it’s a clash between science and game characters. It’s fun! Archaeology is very (and this is me being polite) romanticized through vast forms of media. And because it’s very romanticized it gets a bit complicated to do my job. I am, however, very appreciative of those that ask questions about what we do—they want to know. I encourage curiosity.

Oooo! The dig that you’ve been on sounds very exciting! It’s interesting to hear that Indigenous artefacts were uncovered at the household. My curiosity is at an all time high. Fortunately for me and my team, we work under NAGPRA (Native American Graves Protection & Repatriation Act). We honor requests and always make sure to have representatives of each community working with us. It’s fun work!

Unfortunately, I am not a curator. I do wish to be a curator one day. I’m both a researcher and collections assistant. When I’m not doing field work (my region of the USA calls them “dirt archaeologists”), I work side-by-side with many curators to manage collections. It’s like an assistant manager. My job requires me to understand customs, languages, ethics, it’s history, and much more on what collections I’m working on. This actually does not require a PhD, but it’s preferred. The work I do can be easily accomplished with an AA, AS, BA, BS, MA, and/or an MS. As long as you have a mentor that is thrilled to work with you, then it can be achieved. Traditionally, archaeological collections that require a curator require their managers to have a PhD. I’m noticing more and more that those traditions are changing, but it’s a good thing. It’s allowing new ideas and voices to come and share insight on what they do. I’m very fortunate to have worked with my mentors for as long as I have. They will always have a special place in my heart.

What I’m trying to say through my rambling is this: don’t lose hope. Your dreams are possible. I believe in you. If you are a United States citizen and interested in furthering your education, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Universities, colleges, and community colleges have tons of programs and resources that help students achieve their dreams. If you are interested in managing collections, I highly encourage reaching out to museums FIRST and then a learning institution. Some museums may even help you with schooling and give you the foundation needed before going to school. You may never know! And if you have questions, ask me! This is what I’m here for. I’m more than happy to supply guidance.

Truly that is the question, though right now I can’t see my story ending in anything but at least a bitter sweet ending.

Yours on the other hand, I cant help but hope for them, as much as I do love the universe chose their fates trope, I equally love how people try and sometimes can change their fate! They can recognize the patterns, what would happen, how that would end and change everything. (Maybe, one can only hope)

Now for the questions:

1. I havent even thought of this but definitely a fantasy world, I dont think my story and the loose ideas i have a about the going ons of its world would fit earth

2. Yes!! Im still figuring it out but magic will be part of the story, cant tell if it’ll be central(probably) or just a set piece in the background explaining how certain stuff can happen. But im trying to find a way to make the magic systems hinge on something personal to the individual person and the rules of it and how itd affect the world

3. The two main characters?

Id imagine one being a realists, theyre more reserved, observant(definitely did not make the first move). But they care, a LOT, too much really. Especially for the life they’ll live, but they ground their other half. Despite this they can grow complacent and borders on sacrificial, not fighting when it comes to themselves, only when it comes to others they care about. Theyre nurturing but wont hesitate to do whatever it takes to protect their own. Theyre the one who sees both themselves and their previous lover friend had changed.

The other an optimist(?), they had such ambition, they still do. Trying to do the nearly impossible and keep running after their near untouchable old friend (lover). But they get carried away, they dont notice certain things that they should. They get too caught up in everything and get distracted. They think only their lover friend had truly changed but so have they. Theyre no longer innocent naive “kids” theyve seen much of the world(and its horrors) and it has changed them both.

They both hoped for a better world but perhaps this one has lost sight of that, lost in fights, the conflicts, and armys. Both of them would be stubborn, both likely bound by the path they chose to fight each-other. Maybe the optimist would be in charged of facing off against the realists because not only are they both “immortal”(they can still die but it takes a lot + long life span) but also because truthfully theyre the only one that can get close enough to them

Leaning towards wlw but im a little biased so Id like to flesh out everything more(though now knowing what the two leads are like what do you think?)

Ah i would love to read your story!!! It sounds like such an interesting journey for those two characters and the drama and angsts potential. Our stories are somewhat similar both being like relationships and characters studies of two people trying to love but the world just wont let them. Id also love to hear more about your characters! What are their fatal flaws? Do they have one? How would their relationship fall apart into the depths of toxicity? How can they change their fate, whose or whats fighting against them?

And the themes!!! Oh i love the themes youre trying to explore and it paints a vague picture of the story already for me.

How to genuinely make mutuals here? I’m not new to tumblr but in all the years I’ve been here I couldn’t make mutuals at all

gosh just be active!! make good content it doesnt even have to be that extravagant but like using a good meme or making a single good gif can go a long way! add funny/interesting tags to other ppl’s posts, comment under posts, sending asks is the most effective to me. if i see you in my notifs repeatedly over a period of time i’ll probably follow you. also dont hesitate to dm- every day im sending posts to ppl i barely talk to being like “this made me think of u” !! use tags when relevant- if ur making an observation abt a song, tag it w the name of the song! also every now and then we have bat shit crazy nights and participate- if we’re having a selfie night and u feel comfy, post something! or if we’re having convos abt @singlethread’s random animal knowledge, laugh! oh also be personal- be safe while doing it, but if u dont post abt your personal life to some extent, i wont know u and wont feel like friends (ie share when ur cat does something cute or if you’re seeing a good movie or something like that)

things that will not help u make mutuals from my experience, but this isnt exclusive: dming ppl asking for follow backs, reblogging or adding on to chain posts, sending anon hate (if u do it enough times ppl will find out its you), stealing edits of any kind, not supporting editors by not reblogging their stuff, self reblogging incessantly, goes without saying but being bigoted in any way and not apologizing when u fuck up (imo tumblr has a lot less space and energy for being an asshole- this space leans queerer and just generally more diversely than twitter from my understanding, so is relatively more progressive)
