My Story <3

Tw: suicide,Sh,self-hate

Hey yall so I never really talk about my personal life on here but i feel like I owe everyone an explanation.

Within the past two years I have recovered from SH, and an attempted suicide, it was half ass but it was still an attempt. I was playing fast and loose with my life because I thought there was nothing left of it. I hated myself and how I looked, How I always felt so depressed the way my relationships with friends and family always seemed to fall apart but most of all I hated myself.

Im not sure exactly when it happened but about one year ago I met someone. She had similar interests as me and understood me on a personal level and even though we had lived completely different experiences she was there for me. We started talking more and more and I found out she lived Hours away from me in a completely different country, but I accepted our distance and created our connection. She helped me see that my life was very much so worth living. This girl was harley @dwntwn-strnlo

About four months later the only friends I was talking with in person blew up on me with fake excuses about why we shouldnt be friends, one had stolen some of my clothes as well as some of my money. It hurt more not because they left me but because I trusted them and they betrayed me, They left me out to dry and I reconnected with an old friend from middle school, M.

M helped me to realize that my emotional connection to people isnt a downfall but my strong suit. My intense passion love and energy I give to the world only makes me more beautiful not more weak.

Then M introduced me to S. And S is the most kind and gentle and loving people ive ever met. She reflected me in every sense of my love for others. S helped me to realize that just because someone else doesnt agree doesnt mean I cant formulate and stand up for my own opinions.

The three of us became very close and talked nearly everyday. Im not sure exactly when or why, but one day I decided to pull out my phone and film one of our lunches. Me,M and S all really hit it off we loved being in front of the camera and it almost just felt like the camera wasnt even there.

So we kept filming and that night I went home to edit our very first video and I posted it on an old youtube channel. I touched it up and added pretty colours and tried to make it more asethetic and I stayed up all night working on that first video.

And it got 13 views. And a hate comment. And then youtube took it down. But we didnt care. We kept hussling and we never stopped filming and i havent lost passion in the past half year weve been filming, I even branched off to start my own youtube channel because I love it so much.

I know I dont share much with you all and you dont even know my name, but I felt that where I was today was something i needed to share. My group doesnt have very many subscribers and im okay with that as long as it means I get to keep doing something I love.

so unfortunately I have been putting a lot less time and a LOT less effort into my writing. Im in my senior year of highschool and its all or nothing. I really want to do youtube as a career but i understand the sucsess rate is low, I have a backup plan but ill never be as happy as I am when im in front of the camera filming one of our youtube videos.

So I wanted to apologize to those of you who have been waiting for me to post but its very unlikely that i will be posting many or frequent fics anymore im not saying Im stopping im just slowing down. Its been a rough couple of years but ive finally found something I can pour my heart into. I hope yall understand I love yall so much seriously youve given me so much support<3

This is going to be a "test round" to see if my old prices can still keep up with the risen costs of living here since the last time I did these. For the Sketch Portrait and Headshot Portrait you can choose two cel-shading styles:

Photoshop - just a style example, I do these in Photoshop with a clean, fine lineart brush, so the lines are gonna be very crisp and sharp.

Procreate - just a style example, I work in Procreate with a textured brush that makes lines and shadows/shading a bit more sketchy or grainy-looking. Edges and details are sketchier and softer.

i know we are free love around here, 60s vibes, but do you ever feel a little shameful about liking noah or finn deep down? i still do :( not for queer reasons, just because they dont know who we are but we know lots about them comparatively. idk. sometimes i feel like im ogling lol. i mean, i am, but idk why that feels shameful.

Hmmmmm interesting one. To be honest - not really? I think I was hesitant to actually post or type out thoughts earlier on, but it wasn't like the thoughts weren't already in my brain, the thirst and the admiration and the imagination. I more felt bad about other people getting uncomfortable but just in that they needed a warning this was happening here and that's what my blog was about - and I think I give that vibe by now, it's pretty apparent what we're about in this little corner. If people hated it, they'd have told me and while I got hate in the past here, never about enjoying the boys. (Yet. Hoping to not jinx it.)

I understand the hesitation someone might feel though, and not everyone needs to be so blatant in regards to sex and scrutinizing lives and discussing the little personal details we find. But - I don't think there's anything wrong with it while staying in your lane. I keep it private, to the blog. It would take work to find a random untagged tumblr blog. I think we as fans of the famous have to reconcile the reality that celebrity comes with a layer of exploitation and too many personal details accessible to the public, their image copied everywhere, a little intrusive at times on a larger scale than the average person - but what are we gonna do about it? Human nature.

Does anyone really need to be famous? Nope. But people are talented or in the spotlight and so now we are aware and now we've latched on and formed a mental connection and we are interested and you can't take it back or shut it off! We are attracted or invested! Etc, etc. So - yes, we are ogling. But we're ogling strangers or people we know irl, too. We're looking up people's lives on social media and paying attention to details. We do that with anyone we know and form a mental connection towards. Like I said - for a celebrity this just happens on a larger scale with more people doing it. I think even if someone denies attraction, which is valid, liking a celebrity and following their life at all is a lot like having a crush and how a crush occupies the brain.

Maybe it plays into the current culture of guilt with any personal pleasure and that includes basic enjoyment of things that are overly indulgent? And celebrity culture and interest into it plays into it. This is definitely an indulgent interest or hobby. Or how people say that having a crush and thinking sexual thoughts about someone else is bad because it's non consensual WHICH - NO!! That's not how it works!! That is very dangerous thinking and what got the internet to where it is today. You can be attracted to and think about and even get off to other people and it's totally fine and natural and human. It's a culture of guilt and repression we are becoming suppressed and trapped under. It's totally OK to embrace interests and embrace sexuality and I'm not just talking about orientation.

There's a difference between saying all these things to a person's face and making them actually uncomfortable or going into someone's DMs and saying a bunch of out of nowhere sexual stuff or sending them explicit things about them. There's a difference between finding someone hot or talking with your friends about it or mentally getting off and treating the real person not like a real person with agency etc. Basically my rule is - is what you are currently doing about this affecting their lives?? If the answer is no, where is the harm? Stay in your lanes and appropriate spaces, let your brain wander where it wants and embrace it - because thought crimes are not real.

Fully down with and agree that my whole vibe is very free love and non-judgement and openness about sex and not just sex, but anything that brings safe harmless enjoyment and eases the mind about being true to yourself.

Commission - Coloring Services?

Considering opening up commissions which would include coloring services! Im not the greatest but I do have fun doing so! It would probably be a low starting price and a ‘’pay what you want/what you think its worth’’ to see what people think I should charge. Im not used to get commissions so it’ll be mostly a test in a way. I cant draw everything obviously but I am happy to at least try! Even if I am canadian, prices will be in USD. Let me know if you’d be interested! Or at least interested in seeing more of my art as references of course! I do plan on making a sheet but I want to see if there is some interest first! i have autism (i prefer person-first language sorry ik it's not the universal usage :() too and an incredibly niche/random character has been my special interest for quite a few years now, i dont own merch of her or anything since it's so random and i feel embarrassed about it. i eat up the same few pieces of art every single time,, a 2010 deviantart post where she's in the background? EATING. IT. UP. 😭 how did you let those feelings of shame go (if you ever had them)? idk i don't think it's cringe when other people do it but i just think if any of my friends found out they'd be like wth... i don't really know what i'm trying to say but i guess i wonder if you have any tips on how to make the most of your special interest :) fawful is a cool villain (sorry not insinuating he's evil/bad, just his role in the game) so your interest makes way more sense than mine but you are super dedicated so i think you have some cool guru knowledge about this sorta thing :')

Well, first things first... thank you so much for the kind words!! It's really heartwarming to hear that anyone views me in this manner qwq - I appreciate you telling me bc it really means a lot to me!

But I guess I'd like to say the first piece of advice I have for you is to not see your interest as any lesser than mine or anyone else's just because the character only shows up for a little bit or barely at all. Focus on the joy YOU get from your guy/gal and don't worry about how silly or ridiculous it may appear in the eyes of others.

Another thing I'd say would be to take criticism and people's lack of understanding in stride. I hesitate to say "expect criticism/hate" but at the same time I do think it's a good idea to prepare yourself for it. I think if the idea of receiving negativity from others makes you lose all motivation and confidence in yourself and this character you have feelings for, then it may not be the wisest thing to put it in a public place (like the internet) for the time being.

Having a public presence with this sort of thing isn't for everyone and I think it's perfectly okay and valid when it's not. It doesn't make you or your feelings and less real for it.

PS. regarding the merch: please remember that I caused 99% of the stuff in my room to come into being myself! Fawful doesn't have any official merch outside of a few promotional items with his official render on it from 2009. this is a blog dedicated to uploading new magic the gathering decks as i build them and explaining what they are trying to accomplish and how they win the game/why i made them!!

if you do want to get into more nitty gritty, i am: - really really forgiving. a man of second chances and hella tolerant. many friends have said im a nice dude and i think im pretty chill. - can absolutely carry a convo by finding a mutual interest or by listening to your interests. will talk to you like a bestie from day 1 (hence this dump after a single post) - despite the previous point, very much introverted. accustomed to talking online. good at DMs, hesitant but very social in voice chats, horrendous in person. - people say im funny, while hard to tell in the moment i retroactively laugh at my own posts. ranges from well thought jokes to moderate absurdity.

you kinda hit the nail on the head with space and using "creating" as your point because i effectively walked into the costco of talents and took all the free samples. (my version of jack of all trades master of none) i am constantly bouncing between art and music and video editing to make dumb memes.

Also I totally wasn't weird and scrolled through your entire archeologist tag. Feel you so much on being frustrated with the way archeology is portrayed in media. Rarely accurate, often a romanticized depiction of the early, unethical forms of archeology... It hurts every time.

Also hearing about your job was super interesting! My dig (I have only been on one so far, a field school dig and internship that got me le certificate) was on the property of a house constructed between 1800 and 1810. Boss had to teach us what to do if we found any native american artifacts which was basically stop everything immediately, contact the local rep for either the organization you work for or something super similar to it, and essentially the dig would be over.

Also I really wanted to be a museum curator too! I've had to accept over the past few years that chronic illness means I'll never be able to hold a typical job, but I still love love love it. I was going to get a PhD in mineralogy and specialize in that kind if curation, but now sinking all that time and money when I will be unemployed sounds like a bad idea. Seeing someone else living my dream even if it isnt the same field and getting to hear about it is so heartwarming.

So sorry for rambling so much I just have many thoughts

I’m very happy that you’ve found my anthropology/archaeology posts enjoyable to read. Sometimes there’s rambling, other times it’s a clash between science and game characters. It’s fun! Archaeology is very (and this is me being polite) romanticized through vast forms of media. And because it’s very romanticized it gets a bit complicated to do my job. I am, however, very appreciative of those that ask questions about what we do—they want to know. I encourage curiosity.

Oooo! The dig that you’ve been on sounds very exciting! It’s interesting to hear that Indigenous artefacts were uncovered at the household. My curiosity is at an all time high. Fortunately for me and my team, we work under NAGPRA (Native American Graves Protection & Repatriation Act). We honor requests and always make sure to have representatives of each community working with us. It’s fun work!

Unfortunately, I am not a curator. I do wish to be a curator one day. I’m both a researcher and collections assistant. When I’m not doing field work (my region of the USA calls them “dirt archaeologists”), I work side-by-side with many curators to manage collections. It’s like an assistant manager. My job requires me to understand customs, languages, ethics, it’s history, and much more on what collections I’m working on. This actually does not require a PhD, but it’s preferred. The work I do can be easily accomplished with an AA, AS, BA, BS, MA, and/or an MS. As long as you have a mentor that is thrilled to work with you, then it can be achieved. Traditionally, archaeological collections that require a curator require their managers to have a PhD. I’m noticing more and more that those traditions are changing, but it’s a good thing. It’s allowing new ideas and voices to come and share insight on what they do. I’m very fortunate to have worked with my mentors for as long as I have. They will always have a special place in my heart.

What I’m trying to say through my rambling is this: don’t lose hope. Your dreams are possible. I believe in you. If you are a United States citizen and interested in furthering your education, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Universities, colleges, and community colleges have tons of programs and resources that help students achieve their dreams. If you are interested in managing collections, I highly encourage reaching out to museums FIRST and then a learning institution. Some museums may even help you with schooling and give you the foundation needed before going to school. You may never know! And if you have questions, ask me! This is what I’m here for. I’m more than happy to supply guidance.
