Why are lectures so understimulating yet so overstimulating at the same time?
#Everyone keeps saying I should pursue higher education because I’m “so smart”#Like yes I am smart; I’m smart enough to recognize that taking college courses — even in a subject I like — will make me suicidal#I hate auditoriums I hate bright artificial lighting I hate having to sit in one place for hours I hate having to take notes#Doing sedentary tasks is more physically and emotionally taxing to me than actual manual labor#If I’m going to be happy and focused I need to be on my feet and I need to be outdoors for at least 1/3 of the day#Which is why I will never be a teacher; I will remain a para for as long as I am an educator
