Gilles Deleuze, L’immagine-tempo

movies from the year my mom was born (1969)
@midnightcowboy1969 :) and "kes"
biographic film
"the beaches of agnes"! which is a straightforward bio documentary, but she also did movies that had a lot of personal details and meaning in them. i saw "documenteur" in a theater screening recently and it's almost like a diary entry!
budget less than $1mil
almost all cassavetes movies (a woman under the influence, minnie and moskowitz, husbands, faces, shadows, love streams) and agnes varda movies qualify for this, and i would recommend them all, but i'd also recommend "a taste of honey" and "the loneliness of the long distance runner" ... i'm actually quite fond of most low budget drama films from the 60s-70s. like whenever i catch a random one i usually like it. i'm into quiet forceful realism...
