Flower of evil starts with Hyun soo thinking ‘Should I tell you what kind of person I am’ which is absolutely perfect considering he has no fucking clue of what type of person he is and the series is the quest of proving not only he is capable of love but he actively chose to do so time and time again despite what society & his upbringing taught him

everyone was giving hyun soo a hard time in the final ep for going around saying he wanted to snap people's necks "oh no this isnt you!!", like this man hasn't been a bitch all along? don't worry mr do hyun soo i saw you when you said you'd pop a champagne bottle after someone you hated had died in ep 3, i saw you beef with a toddler in episode 2 don't let the haters win sir, stay true to yourself <3

It felt So Fitting that one of the most clear memories Hyun Soo got back was a memory from before everything. One of his first memories with Ji Won, not tainted by all the events of the series, to show how he loved her from the very start despite denying it to himself for almost 14 years. And the reveal of the name of his shop was the last hit he needed to realize he must have truly loved Ji Won.

Lee Joon Gi could make 34 male fantasy kdramas and I’d still love him for his performance in Flower of Evil it’s all in the eyes filled with repressed emotions that overwhelm him without him realising bc he thinks of himself as emotionless

I've been watching this show for awhile, taking my time even though sometimes I got to impatient. I tend to spoil myself with certain shows I like, but I don't give up easily on stories that attract themselves to me even though it takes me months to find out about them.

To be honest, in a way, I relate to Do Hyun Soo because I often felt like an outcast during my childhood, even though my mom didn't die when I was young and my father was not a serial killer.

If it wasn't for Lee Joon Gi playing the role of Do Hyun Soo, then I wouldn't have been able to think of an interracial erotic thriller. Of course, Tatsuya Fujiwara also inspired me too.
