angst drabbles!! 🌊 for deacon and 💦 for dmitri?

🌊 What is your OC like at their most depressive? In the middle of a breakdown? Having a panic attack? What are they like with dealing with anxiety and stress?

Your alarm clock reads 4:02, the bright red numbers the only source of light in your apartment. You hadn’t meant to fall asleep. 

You left Aisha back in her apartment an hour ago, slipped back into a body that refused to wake up. You woke up half an hour ago, unable to breathe, drowning in your own sweat from the nightmares.

Untangling the blankets from your legs, you pull yourself from bed, stumbling as you go. You tear through the end table, looking for one of your razors. You don’t leave them out, don’t ever want to make things easier for you. 

Another form of self punishment.

When you can’t find one–where did you put them–you release your frustration with a scream, neighbors be damned (they’ve heard you before), and slam the drawer closed with enough force to send your lamp careening to the ground. The plastic can’t break into shards. But the glass of the lightbulb won’t shatter either. That would be too easy.

You walk across the cold laminate flooring, into your bathroom that has no door (you removed it yourself).

You keep a pair of scissors in the medicine cabinet.

Normal scissors are too dull for what you want to do. Take too much pressure to cut, pinch in just the wrong way to remind you of what it is you’re doing to yourself. Don’t catch in your skin like the razors do. 

The scissors in your medicine cabinet are sharper, better described as shears.

You don’t realize what you’re doing, until you feel the buzz of the electric razor in your hand (it was on the back of the toilet–why did you leave it there), and look down to see the locks of hair in the sink, too light to be mousy, too dull to be golden. 

It’s a delightfully broken sound, your laughter.

💦 Does your OC have any self destructive habits? Addictions? Urges? What is the cause of these or the reason for them?

Deacon buys your alcohol for you. There’s no practical reason why you’ve chosen this particular system. He has good taste, better than yours. And you deserve the best. Aged whiskeys, expensive liquors, and the finest vintages. When you enter a package store as you, you find yourself leaving with cheap boxed wines and bottles of brandy or triple sec. Vaguely the right ingredients for a sangria made with whatever fruits you find rotting away in your fridge. 

On your worst days, you stumble into the nearest convenience store, one of the shadier ones known for selling to underage UCLD students with eyes in the other direction. A slight nudge and they’ll turn their entire head away from you. You’ll walk away with a 6-pack of Coors and as many cans of grape Four Lokos you can hold in your arms.

Julia thinks you have a problem. Your therapist thinks you have a problem. 

You don’t have a problem.
